This is one of Xentel DM's phone numbers.

Please read the following research about them and decide if you would ever give money to a charity represented by them.

Calls started about a year and a half ago, when I gave out my number to buy tickets to the Magic & Miracles show in Ottawa.  Xentel is the main sponsor of this show.

They are also a telemarketer that calls on behalf of all the charities they represent.  They have many phone numbers they will call you from, and many charities they call on behalf of, and in this case it was Ottawa Police Association.

I have been trying to get off their call list for over a year, and have resorted to banging the receiver a few times on my desk, then hanging up.

I called back too. Some kind of shrine temple, it also said the caller has chosen not to take my call. Very weird.

If they got your voice message thing, don't you say your name there? They probably call and listen to that, then ask for you by name when you finally do pick up. I don't answer any calls that, I don't know the number. If it's important enough, they leave a message and I have their number on my call display to redial then too.

Called at 8:45pm. There was silence on the phone when I answered (sounded like other calls were being made in the background). The man eventually realized I'd answered and I offered to take a message. He mumbled that he was "just a local charity calling" and hung up.  Not the right local area code for my city.

Just received a call from this number.

Because it was a 905 area code, I picked up the phone.

The caller really butchered my name so I responded "Nobody here by that name".

The caller apologized and hung up.

GREAT ... I'll have to remember this trick in the future. LOL

When I see A number that I am not familiar with, and it is obviously a call center, I do not even answer it.   513 number has been showing up on a regular basis and I have never answered it.  I figure that I can't lose by not answering.  Also, these number are computer generated and if you should answer, there will be a pause before someone answers.  Should this happen, I find that I have enough time to same, "This must be mister nobody again" and hang up just as someone starts to answer.
As I understand, the Police Association  will use a call center. just like any other association, to solicit money foir their cause.  It will nit always be the same one.
