Called at 9:14 AM  left no message

I called back and reached a recording for CIBC.

Insurance on CIBC Credit Card balance due in case on sickness or unemployment.  Received offer of insurance by saleperson named Stéphanie Aucher from Montreal Office Base.

They are calling because they take advantage of the scam.
They called my mom who doesn's speak enligsh, my mom didn't understand and kept saying k k bye which ended up with CIBC purchased the insurance for my mom.. I realized the extra premium couple months later and called CIBC. they told me my mom agreed the sale.. what an XXXX.. my mom was not the only victim, some her non english speaking friends got trapped too.
CIBC call centre loves to call those non english speakers.....  

The only "favour" you're doing would be to confirm your number to scammers. That just gets your number on more sucker lists so you get more junk phone calls from crooks like this.

Does your job depend on tricking people into calling you back, or are you just hopelessly stupid ... or both?

Do yourself a favour everyone and just call the number back (905-297-4280) and follow the prompts to remove yourself from their dialling list. It will take up to 30 days for it to go through (so the message states). But at least the calls will eventually stop, right? ;)

They call several times a day including weekends. I finally called back, long distance. It's CIBC selling insurance, I'm a CIBC Visa customers. As if I'd buy insurance over the phone, wtf. You can enter your phone number to be removed from their list. F**ing banks, as if they don't take enough already, they have to rob us of our time too.

Start at Feb they call 3 times or more a week, never leave a message. Try to add it to my phone provider block list but system said it was a invalid number.

This number called twice in the last 2 days. We do not answer any call that shows a number we do not know. We let the answer machine take it. They always hang up. We had previously received so many phony calls that we bought a phone that can block 30 numbers. (We need one that can block 100 numbers) It works great ! (CTC)

Your cell phone will hopefully have an option in your settings. Go to settings, there should be a couple ways to do it. Either call barring, or call reject. Take it from there. And good luck.
I just got a call from the same number , no message, hopefully it's not a daily occurNce.

I have them all blocked with an app on my phone. They can't get through at all not even vm.

Same here. Numerous aggravating phone calls!! Leave no message just a hang up!!!

Got a call from 905-297-4280, they did not leave a message.

Police should do something about it 1800 565 8605 and 18666066903 they getting in to people privacy

I say to call your local CIBC directly 2 or 3 times a day and hang up.

I have gotten a call from this number, I was not at home and they didn't leave a message (of course). I am registered on the DO NOT CALL list but not like that will stop these guys.
