Just got a call from them. This # is not in service. So it's a scammer faking this #.
BTW, if you ever return calls from unknown sources such as this, make sure you dial *67 followed by a pause first, then the #, so that the scammer can't trace your # to add to their list of #s to share or sell to other scammers or telemarketers.

Duct cleaning company, he asked if I was the house owner and I replied that it was none of his business. He became rude and started swearing so I hung up. Great.... so now they are not only annoying they are aggressive too.

Great advice Badge714 - all the exact same things I do. I also have the advantage of 'blocking' this caller, and as many as 29 others like it, on my Panasonic DECT 6.0 telephone set. No, I am not a salesman for them.

Most annoying part is my call display gives this number yet when I dial it I get the Bell message that this number is not in service ! Can somebody please explain how a number that is not in service can be active and make calls ??? WTF !!!!!!

Called my home phone today and said hello, nobody answered so I didn;t hang up, then a women with an accent came on saying hello and I ignored her. Another scam! Why can't all phones come with a blocking function, then we would be totally rid of this harassment.

Please remember that some of these are new twists on old scams. The idea of many new scams is to get you to call back. In case #1, the call leads you to the Caribbean, where premium international rates apply. In case #2, by calling back you have confirmed that the number is good. This can then be put on a list to be sold to other crooks. Remember- YOU called them. You were not forced to call back. Want to help cut off the scammers money?
Please do these 3 things: (1) Do not answer numbers you do not know (2) Do not call back numbers you do not know (3) If you MUST take the call, hang up right away if it's someone you do not want to talk to. Scammer can't scam you if they can't talk to you, right?

got a call this morning before 8.30. when I looked it up it said a cell phone in streetsville. when I called it back it said the mailbox was full. I don't understand the purpose of them calling you and then having no one there. Is this a sales call or what is it?
