Rec'd call from 905-361-4637 claiming $6K overdue on Mastercard.

Haven't had a Mastercard for years let alone owe $6K on one.

This forum was the best, most direct place to come to get the matter resolved.

Got advice from Citifinancial on what to do if I receive another such call. Citi's agent
suspects a mis-dialed number.

To whomever supplies this service, thanks a lot!

its collections if you never dealt with them it might be a fraud issue and you should check your credit report.. if they hang up right away its because they are using a dialer... collections is annoying of course it is but its best to deal with it... they ask for your birthdate or other personal info to make sure its you cuz they are forced to by the privacy law if you dont wanna talk to them talk directly to citi mastercard

It's Citi Mastercard

This number has been calling my residence phone number and is a fax machine that is set to automatically repeat.  I have not been successful finding out who it is.

I received a call om cell or at my home today on 15 jan.08.
I tried  to call back from my cell and land line frome office and home land line,and massage  was saying it was a NON WORKING NUMBER.

As the one comment says it's Citi Finacial,and you OWE THEM MONEY!!  What an idot to write that what if you;ve never dealt with them Ahole! i get calls as well and I get hung up on right away???

This is not telemarketing or fraud. Like the previous poster noted, it's collections. Just pay your bills and you'll be fine.

I have deals with them yet they bother me! hell with them and all Banks

I'm from Quebec and this is a FRAUD call and they want your personnal informations ! Dont give any of your informations !!!

Answered and no one was there!  Very annoying.

I recieved a call tonight from an annoying person asking for "Shania"...not my name....I hung up assuming it was a telemarketer...she called right back and asked why I hung up.....you'd think she'd gotten the hint the firsttime....

just a telemarketer for Mastercard....all the same......

I've had two annoying calls from this number saying they were "City Cards Canada".  They wanted to leave a message for my husband but had no reference # and would only say it was a "personal business matter".  It's a marketing call.

this number called me at my cell and she spoke out my name and post code, telling me that i overspent my credit card limitation by $4000. i said i never used their card, she asked for my birthdate, i refused and asked her name, guess what, she refused. what the hell is this?

Same s**t, they call me daily, how they got my cell number i dont know.....

Was weird, like early in the morning, asking for I don't know who. Was ok though, just apologize for this misnumber,,,

the call is from citi cards of canada.....its not a mastercard it is for your retail private label credit card.....like staples peoples or maybe childrens place.....and its not a marketing call.........

They called me yet I got billed for the call?
Calling bell canada to get charges reversed back to them.
Makes no sense.

This number called my cell phone which is on the National Do Not Call List. There was no voicemail.

This is citifinacial collections trying to get money for a overdue account, wether you owe or not they will call until you answer them. they are rude and not very intelligent. call 1-877-286-6282 to get them off your back. Mine was for a leons account that was paid completely off a week before and they are slow to update. Leon's has forever lost my business. A 7 B sound used this company years ago and dropped them because of there tactics.

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AT 10:50 p.m. STATING THAT MY CREDIT CARD WAS IN ARREARS AND A PAYMENT OF 288.00 HAD TO BE PAID BY MONDAY.

I'M NOT IN ARREARS WITH ANY CREDIT CARD.

I REDIALED THE # AND IT SAID IT WAS A NON-WORKING #

I called the number back and no answer.  I called citi financial, who they claimed to be, and spoke to someone and they verified that the call was authentic.  I am glad to know that.

just got a call, late, 11pm, didnt answer but when i called back it said that it was a non working number...??

the number has come up now and again on my call=answer and phn.
turns out it was citi-financial. anyone that has loan products, credit cards or bank accounts through them - that is likely what it is regarding.
