Caller claims to be from Canadian Promotion Co. at Highway 7 and Woodbridge, and that he has all my personal information in front of him from a yellow coupon I filled out in December 2007. He offers one of 2-5 "gift packages", including $1000 cash, a big-screen TV, or one of 3 vacations.

The man had a thick accent, and claimed to be named Mark Eaton, who could be reached at 416-628-9766, which is a number that has been reported on several other sites.

Scam!

I received a call stating that I had won a grand prizes from certain promotional yellow coupon which he claimed I filled out at Christmas. I told him I don't remember filling out any coupon, he stated, Oh sir, that is such a long time ago you must have forgotten. The prizes are:
        -$1000.00 Cash
        -52" Plasma TV,
        -Trip to Orlando, Florida plus
        -$500.00 for expenses including
        -free accommodation for two people.
        -Alaskan cruise for two
        -one other trip
The Company is said to be a Canadian Promotion Company.
He emphasized that I have to come with my wife in-order to collect the prizes or I may forfeit the opportunity. I said thanks and hung up. Another idiot called back and asked why I'm not interested.

Really pushy jerk from "Canada Gifting Center", which is a timeshare presentation scam "i.e. congratulations come get your free gift!".

He also said "you filled out a ballot at Christmas". Oh no we didn't.

This is the third time they've called us.

So I asked to be put on their do not call list again, he actually said the only way to remove myself from their list is to attend their (timeshare) presentation!

Very rude and argumentative!

The guy said he is calling from Canadian Gifting Centre, 51 International Blvd., Etobicoke with free gifts for couples and he has my info on a card filled in Dec 2007. When I asked for company web address, he said it is down because someone has hacked it. The guy said he is originally from Australia.

been called 3 times in 2 days by this guy and today he called just to be rude.  Called Bell and we're getting Call Trace on our line since you can't dial this number back.  Bell says if he calls again use call trace and it reports it to them and the police.

just received call from this phone number (905-366-7259) to invite to the "gift drawing ceremony"...the bad thing is that this guy and his "manager" who is 416-628-9766 ext 1212 knew all my info (name and address).
They are simply inviting people to come to nowhere with 2 peaces of id and Visa or MC.
This is scam for sure.
Recommend hang up as soon as see this number on your caller id!

I received the call from this number: 905-366-7259 on July 3. However, it showed on my display with some sort of login: YALI05. Obviously, I couldn't dial the number as the recording says that the number is not in service. On a daily basis, sometimes 4 or 5 times a day.  I receive hang up calls or some advertising companies call to sell their service or products. It has become annoying. I simply decided not to answer the phone at all if I don't recognize the number. Eventually, they'll get tired of calling once they notice nobody answers the phone regadless what time of a day they call.

Thank you guys for sharing your experiences, at least I know that I am just one of the victims. I plan to get back at these people, by doing the same thing. Harassing them and forcing them to make a deal. I will use my resources and lots of time, to annoy them too. We plan to call them back and make their phones ring the whole day.

I received several calls from this heavily accented male individual.  These calls were very perverse and threatening in nature.  After he quoted my name, I guessed he must have additional info as well. I contacted the police.  After further investigation on my end, I have confirmed that this guys Broadband service provider is Allstream.  You can have your local police dept. call Allstream at 1 888 288 2273 and/or 1 866 883 8618 to get in touch with their security dept. I hope to have this issue resolved by this time next week.

I got a call too but I didn't answer... however, after reading some of your responses, especially "Really pushy jerk from "Canada Gifting Center", which is a timeshare presentation scam "i.e. congratulations come get your free gift!"." I realized that I got a call from them last year. Some brown dude with a thick, thick, Sri Lankan accent or something called asking for me... which I said she's not here. He went on to ask me for MY (who i told him i was not the person he was looking for) number. I said I only have a cell. He wanted that. When I wouldn't give it to him, he started asking me for my name, where I lived, what I liked, and said he's new to New York (knowing I'm in Canada) and wanted to get to know me and become friends and s**t. I played on and said 'if this was a legitimate phone call, how do you think your employer would like you asking me all these personal questions'. He laughed and said he didn't care, but you could tell he was just f***ing around, and as was I. It was fun at first to waste his time, but then I said f*** it. He was fine with saying good bye by then.

I never believe people who call me. If I'm interested (which is rarely ever), I research first. If they are legit, good for them. If not, f*** off.

Sorry for the language. Freedom of speech. Muah!
