It's a collection agency...name "Global"...something.

It's a collection agency called Global International.  
They have a website for consumers that are getting called:

I received several calls for somebody else from this number. When I called back, I found out
that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection. I found there website
( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number. They
told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

I received several calls from these guys..
When I called back to find out what these guys wanted,
I was told that I had an old credit card bill that I never paid.
When I looked into it, it turns out that they were right (oops!).  
I was able to settle my account for half the amount owing.

These guys are a bunch of jerks.

I am making a Youtube movie on how to screw with them, I am too dealing with this jerk Robert Caine.  Be sure to revew the Harmonized Prohibited Debt Collection Practices off of the industry canada website when dealing with these jerks.

I get calls and it says to stay on the line as they are trying to connect my call. Connect me?  You called me!! Anyway, I have had other calls from other numbers as well and they are looking for someone I don't know and they say my cell number is the one they have for this person. I would love for the b***s*** to stop.

I have been getting calls from these people twice a day, every day for over a month.  I have caller ID and did not answer the first dozen calls and then decided to find out who the heck was calling so often.  I found out that they are from Global Collections (Ontario) for CIBC.  They were trying to contact a person who had used me as a reference.  I first spoke to a Mr. Robert Cain and wrote down his information telling him that I would indeed pass this on to the person he was trying to contact. (which I did).  I continue to get calls from Mr. Cain who leaves the same message every time.  Today I answered this call once again and this time it was Colleen Bowen (apparently a supervisor) who was trying to reach this person.  I told her that I would not give out her phone number and suggested to her that I was beginning to feel harrassed.  She was so rude !   She went on to tell me that she had a 26 year old daughter and she would expect her to be responsible and that I should do the same.  Who can I report this company to.  I would like to write a letter of complaint but do not know to whom this should be addressed.  Please, any information would be greatly appreciated.

As near as we can ascertain, this unruly nuisance caller, who by the way is conducting his collection business in many illegal procedures we have witnessed: Not Identifying who they are, Verbal abuse of the person whom they've called to create intimidation, swearing on the phone is a collection agency operating in Canada, USA and Britan by the name of: GLOBAL Credit & Collection Inc.
