They Call With Recording, This is a very important message for,then the call stops. Im not sure if they want my wife or myself. If its a real person calling they just hang up with no message.

I get a recording from this number(sounds like a computer) that they are trying to get ahold of a (then in a voice) "James Begully" and its an important business matter.

and goes on and on.
asks to hit #1 to talk to a representative. (I hit one once I believe 1 doesn't link or anything like 9 does. hopefully and got an answering machine, left a message that james begully doesn't live here, but the calls don't stop)

Wrote the FCC about the number as I get one to two calls a day from it. its annoying and harrassment.

these doods called me all the time in the morning and late at night, they are a collection agency. finally, i called them, at this number below, i told them to search my phone number and they did and asked me if i was "shao bia" which i am not, they told me they would take my phone number off there list, we will see if it works or not. hopefully it does.

Wouldn't accept my explinations/answers.  Continued on asking same question over and over.  Finally I explained I would make a complaint and hung up.  He said his name was something like Punet Malhotra from Global Credit and Financial but never found that company online.

These guys were calling me about an account that was real old.
You can't expect me to pay for something from 5 years ago!!!  
I tried talking to them but they didn't seem to get it.  
I googled their company name "Global Credit" and found their website.
I sent a request to stop bugging me.  A manager called me back a couple days
later and told me they were closing my account.

Oh my God!  You've got to be kidding me!  Be nice????  These people have been harassing me for months and I'm not even the person they're looking for!  I have called, left messages, emailed and spoke to a live person telling them that they have the wrong number and I still get calls every day or two.  I have told them to never ever call my house again.  I have asked for an email to confirm that they will not call me again and I just get more calls.  I just got one 5 minutes ago.  I'm calling the BBB, CRTC, and maybe even a lawyer at this point to see what I can do about them.  I'm tired of this!!!!!!!!!!!1

I just received a new cell number, (roughly 2 1/2 weeks ago) & keep getting calls daily, from this 905-413-8709... I finally called the # & it is registered to a collection agency in Mississauga... I explained that I was recently given this new cell # wanted the calls to stop... They were very helpful & a Robert Cain said he would immediately remove my # from their files..........
So people, instead of complaining about all the calls, just make a friendly call & advise them that they are calling the wrong number... They will not bite & are very polite & helpful

they have been calling our cell for 2 yrs for a person unknown to us. Have told them to quit-- no luck yet. obviously a bunch of morons.

There are rarely answers or solutions unless some one posts something... this is a site to report numbers that have been making phone calls to you, what was said or what WASNT said and things like that. This site has NOTHING to do with stopping the phone calls.

Call several times a week, have called back and asked not to call my cell, I've only had it a few months and am not the person they are calling.
They said they don't have my number on their list but continue to call.
"very important call for ??? they dont' say who they need. If I pick up it's an automated machine ,no human answers.

I've had these people call my house for 3 years now asking for the same person.  I've informed them TIME AFTER TIME... they DO NOT live at this number... take it off your list now!!  They appologize... say they'll remove it... and that'll be that.  

Well .. .they still call pretty much daily.. early mornings/ late evenings.  I'm fed up!!!!

These idiots keep calling about once a year asking for a "Joanne Fermaniuk"....for the last 5years!!!  I inform them no such person and they keep calling.  Once I called them 6 times in a roll to confirm the case number was not me and finally they got some girl to apologize to me.  This gave me about a year of peace until just today.

These people call multiple times daily multiple days a week looking for someone who is not at my phone number and has not been for at least FOUR years.  Usually during daytime hours to my cell number.  Have left multiple messages saying the person whom they are calling has not been at this number since January 2005.

Ignorant/arrogant collection agency (GLOBAL Credit & Collection Inc) that usually fails or refuses to actually tell you who is calling.
It should be a law that every company is required to include their name on caller-ID and clearly state their name when leaving messages and on every call.

Usually the message is they ask to speak to someone about "an important matter" (with no indications of what the important matter may be) and leaves a number to call.
Sometimes messages left on voice mail are cut off.

Often times, calling the number they provide leads to more annoyance and frustration as no-one answers and you are expected to leave a message.  
THIS IS CRAP!! Why would anyone leave their name/number to a message that does not identify themselves?

On the rare chance you actually speak with a human associated with this phone number you will discover it is stupid student loan collection.  These ignorant people will suggest you get a loan or borrow from family to pay back the student loan. Or they may suggest you consolidate debt under one loan.
Under Canadian and some provinces they can only call ONCE a day and only within the hours you specify (if you actually talk with them and give them permitted times to call).
It is irresponsible of them to suggest to you how to manage your finances or demand payment. In fact, it may be illegal for them to make such suggestions.

IT IS BEST NOT TO ANSWER ANY OF THESE CALLS until they stop breaking/bending laws/regulations and have more integrity when dealing with people.
OR just take all their information, do not give them any of your own personal information, and send complaints to the BBB and Canada or provincial Consumer offices.
This company needs to be shut down.

getting calls for someone else at my number

got this call this  morning when i was still in bed didn't answer left it for alter when i called back it sounded like someone answered then hung up then I tried back again and no one answered damn stupid if you ask me but i will not be answering or calling again now that i know it some scam I love the internet its a beautiful tool.

This number has called my house a couple times now I finally called my local operator who in turn told me to call the BBB and my local Police Dpt.  It is a scamm best you can do if not even answer or if you do hang up immediately

It's an automated voice..says press 1 to talk to someone about an important matter. Never tells you what this important matter is!!

Received calls from this number on my cell. They started this month and they calld twice so far. Luckly, if I don't know the number I rarely answer, but I tried to call back and nobody answered and there was no answering machine either. Does anyone know what's up with this number?

And what is with this site? It would be very funny to find out that this site is owned by the same guys that call from that number....HaHa....as I don't see any solutions or answers here, but just our notes...What is this 800Notes site? Does anyone know?

Maybe, when they get 800 complaints they will stop the phone calls. :))

called about my student loan.... told them there's no money and to call me again in six months.... guy got all uppity about it and said i should get a loan.... i laughed at him and said 'would YOU give me a loan? you've already screwed my credit report so no bank will.'  lol... they then calle about 5-6 times a day so i answered and told them that legally they can only call once a day within the hours i specify and if they refuse to follow my request i will contact the police department regarding harassment charges.... only get calls once or twice a week.... lol...
