They left a message for a name of someone that does not live here, a name I don't know and wasn't the name of the person I bought the house from. They didn't go into much detail just that it was urgent that the person call them back and that it was in reference to a long string of numbers that they read off, probably an account number or something similar. They also made a point of saying it wasn't a sales or solicitation call (to get around the no call list maybe?) and was important to call them back asap

I'm not going to since the message obviously isn't for me, but I am curious as I've been getting calls from some other place, cbc I think about collecting a debt, and I don't have any debts

I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  
When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.  
I found there website ( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number.
They told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

These jerks are calling us and asking for our neighbor across the street, saying this is the "reference number" she gave! Yeah, right! Called us 4 times in less than 24 hours! Completely annoying!! Won't tell us what it's about because we are not "her." Then call HER, you idiots!

My ex-boyfriend's parents got a call from this number and then he did. They asked them if they knew me.  And this is an ex-boyfriend from 20 years ago, kids.  I realized I got a call from them with a woman leaving me a threatening message about some debt.  Didn't call back.  I'll post if I get another.  Is everyone who got called on Facebook?  Might have to do with that...

and as i read more of these post it is making me believe that it is one of those Magicjack things, cause the 7 digit number is staying the same but other area codes are showing up with it and it is the same person ! Do not send any money to these people it is a scam!

We're all just trying to help each other out to not get scammed!  i live in Ontario CANADA  and the number is that displays IS a local Toronto 905 area code that appears, unless your tell me that Ontario Cal. area code is 905- NUT_TARD ! it was a guy that called me when i answered he hung up, then i called him back and he answered saying that they did not call me! maybe cause i am a male and they are praying on women, who knows but he was trying to be very stern that there was no call to me! now it is also possible this person has one on those MagicJack internt phone connections that Canada has just made legal this year to have local ported numbers here and un that case they could be calling from anywhere in the world!

Person stated sheis one of the Supervisors (Spanish accent) for Global International and  have my personal info including my SSN.  Need to call back on this urgent matter or it will be escalated.

rec'd call on my net 10 phone; said very urgent; i owed money and they have been trying to get ahold of me. don't owe any $$ anywhere; did reverse phone number for 905 number and got the number 866-350-4275. not returning number.  will call capitol one about this.

Same as other posts.  currently on no-call list.  Called and they wouldn't give me any info about what they wanted.  I didnt' offer them any info and wouldn't answer their questions. Very rude lady.  (What a horrible job to have.)  Anyway - Checked my credit reports - all good - so just going to ignore. Hope they don't start bugging my friends and family!

I've been getting 2 - 3 calls per week looking for  Sherry.   I called back & told them that I didn't know her, so don't call my "no call #".  The woman said she was sorry & she'd take my number off their list. The message tonight was music first, then a man threatening that if I didn't call back & would regret the outcome.  He went on & on with the threats.  I don't owe anyone, so the threats have got to stop!

Called me several times extremely rude-they even called people from other states I haven't seen or talked to for more than 15yrs and asking questions about me and/or leaving messages on their voicemail. Be careful when they call because they may be stealing stored numbers off your cell phone.

Called several times left rude messages, though vague.  Got my wife today 7/29/10 began yelling and screaming when she wouldn't give personal info.  Their callback was given as 866-380-4275 x8727.  We're on Do Not Call list and owe no money.

Rec'd the same kind of message on my office phone for someone else at the company.  Not sure how they tied his name to my number since he has no direct phone of his own.  Very threatening, yet vague message.  Also claimed they had left several prior messages, but this is the first one I've ever received.

Called my at 1:45pm-Message was from "Mr.Bell" very bad sound quality. Said it was an urgent matter. I called back and asked what it was about and he said "it all depends on what your matter is", then I scoffed and he begin to scoff back then I hung up. Caller ID # was 1-915-413-8727 his message call back # was 1-866-350-4275 ext 6162.

They just called: Tuesday May 18th, 2010, 3:55:36 PM Mnt. Time Zone.  They knew my first name and last name, and I lied and said they had the wrong number, then the man said, "Oh, sorry, this is the number we have on file to contact you." So I said it was a wrong number and they hung up.  Then I came here and post this. My iPhone says the number comes from Ontario Canada.  I have only ever been to Canada once, and I never left the terminal.
I figure this is has to be some kind of complex scam, due to the fact that another country can not collect money from someone here in the USA, unless the debt is in that country.  Though, I should note, they didn't give away any information about who they were, or what they wanted... So I don't know if they were looking for debt collection, or what, I am just assuming off of the previous posts.

Received a call from this number asking for my mother's exhusband.  Very weird.  Said they were a debt collection agency.  Good to know we can ignore them if they call again.

Received a call at 5:30pm from this number but didn't pick it up because I didn't recognize it. I have voice mail, but they didn't leave a message. Just a little background noise and then they hung up.  Glad I checked it on this site. I won't bother answering it if they call again. 4/19/10

I recieved two phone calls today on my cell phone with the same discribed voicemail of call me back this is important info you may not have but i cannot leave the info on your voicemail. It all seemed rather threatening to me seeing as i don't owe anyone money so i decided to look up the # and wound up on this site. The same 'Frank' person called me and I am pretty sure he cannot be the only person working for a large collection agency so I am calling this bogus and can't wait for them to call me back tomorrow- wonder what kinda scam they have running!

received a call today, February 23, 2010 at 1:26 PM. My caller-id showed ONTARIO for the name and this number 905-413-8727. I let the machine take it and the guy was already talking - "Global International with urgent information youmay not know about. You must call me back. I cannot leave personal information with an answering service. Call toll free 1-866-350-4275 extension 8727." The message quit, but instead of hanging up it started over again. This time -"This is Frank Laduca of Global International ...."  I did a reverse lookup on the phone number on the caller-id and it came up as a land line in Unionville, Ontario and unpublished. Then, I found this website. So here is the info of the call I got and if this is a collection agency, well they can go hang as I don't have anything needing collected. I am now going to report them to the state I live in along with some others.

I received 2 calls on my cell phone, both Tuesdays after 5:00 p.m., and I was left a threatening message to call them back about an urgent matter.  I didn't get the messages until the next day.  The first call was from a man, and I didn't call back.  The second call was from a woman who said she was the boss of people that have tried to call and I better call back.  I am glad that this site was set up so those of us being bothered know that these calls are not legitimate.

Got a call from this number, weird thing is same message was recorded a week earlier from a different number but it was the same caller, no name just said cannot disclose any information over answering service, please call back blah blah....what is this and why wont they leave me alone?
