got this call today (Nov 12 2011). I no longer answer the phone unless I know for who is calling.

Rec'd call today.  Already on my call block list (I don't remember when I added them), so my Panasonic phone (with call block feature) hung up on them automatically.

The NAME portion of the call display shows the following  V11101406430046.  I see someone else posted about seeing a similar but different code on their phone.

These people are just scammers.  They don't give a care about the DNC list.

I just had the same experience.  They've called our place of business, I asked them not to and he just kept going on with obscenities.  Kind of funny actually, real tough guys over the phone.....

Got a call today, No message.

Rude and obscene telemarker probably not in Canada played a game about removing my number from future calls, and as above used abusive obscene language.  :-(  Not convinced I won't receive yet more calls from this group.

The best solution as I see it is not to report them, or even hang up on their autodialler, but to ANSWER "9" AND WASTE THEIR TIME WITH LENGTHY STUPID AND FRUSTRATING QUESTIONS. After all, the time I use up is time lost for them to realize whatever source of revenue they hope to achieve. Fortunately I have the time to politely abuse them, so it's a bit of tit for tat.  ;-)  

And if I have trouble hearing them and they want to call back, my local constabulary number is what they will get.

Received a call today from Brendden from "Visa" to say that as a valued customer I have won a trip for 4 and all he needed was the expiry date off my Visa card to verify my identity. Asked him who's identity was he trying to verify since he had not asked for me by name. Sidestepped my question. Told him I didn't have my card in front of me so couldn't help him. He said he'd take my MasterCard expiry date instead. I laughed and said so you work for both Visa & MC?? Oh yes, he said in his thick accent. At that point I ended the call.

Had a call today from these people who can barely speak english but when I asked to be removed from their calling list they had no problem using every nasty, disgusting word they could think of. Telling me to s**k their c**k and more. Pathetic people who ever runs that company and the low-lifes they have working for them. I guess they can't get real jobs.

Similar experience as others.  They called at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday with a recorded message about a cruise.  I pressed 9 because I wanted to complain to someone.  I also got a person with an east-Indian accent.  When I complained he also uttered obsenities.  These guys should be tracked down.

The recorded message asked me to "press 9" to claim my prize.

I received another call today after already asking to be placed on their DNC list.  I was called a bunch of obscenities and after I said a few choice words in reply, I hung up.  I have placed a complaint with the CRTC (1-866-580-DNCL) and I suggest that everyone who has had to experience this nastiness should also complain.

I had already been called by these jerks and asked to be put on do not call list.  I got angry as they called again.  Agent because extremely rude and was using rather disgusting obscenities with me.  I wish I knew the name of the company to call and complain.  I asked him the name and with the accent I couldn't understand.

National Do Not Call Registry only has teeth on Canadian phone numbers, not ones from abroad. Even though it shows as an Ontario/Niagra region, a simple change on a PBX can broadcast a different number. And with the ongoing use of SIP/VOIP Technology, you can do whatever the heck you like with broadcasting numbers without fear of the Laws of Canada complaining with your non compliance of 911 laws. It sucks, I know, but just don't answer, or if you do, have some fun with the poor bugger on the other end, drag out the call, pretend not to speak English off and on, every second they stay on the line, their auto dialer is not calling another number, and they work on commission, so they might get fired! ;-)

i want to know why these numbers are hidden by the phone company from the public... if you call the operator, you will not get any assistance whatsoever....... their answer is essentially "ho-hum, sucks to be you getting these calls from someone who is a nuisance and possible a scam artist".... i have called the operator several times and have gotten absolutely no help whatsoever... guess the phone company makes lots of money off scam artists ; and the phone company sure doesn't care about us

A recorded message promised a cruise. Said  press 9. I did. I got a person with an East-Indian accent. I asked him to remove my number from the list. He said ok. He also said  to write down a number to be quoted if anybody else calls. Then he asked me if I still had that piece of paper with me. I said yes. Then he said (verbatim), "put that piece of paper into your f-ing p**sy, m'am." I will attempt to find out how to shut  these criminals down.

The display said v092714534. I do not want calls from this number. Please investigate this number and stop it from unsolicited spam phone calls.

Got a call today and for giggles I hit the #9. It is for a free vacation and the whole schpeel was to florida and its worth $2500.00 for only $398.00 I told the lady I was not going to leave her with my information and she kept persisting. I said no and hung up.

Call your local authorities and tell them of this and if they call back answer the phone say nothing hang up and dial *57 i think is the call trace number for most areas in Canada and they will be investigated...I recently had a similar instance as above for a few times til I called the cops!

I had the same kind of phone call from them today as well. I jokingly asked 'where's my prize' and he said my prize was that I could "open my mouth and suck his c**k". He then told me that he was calling from outside my house and was going to "come in and f**k my brains out". He kept up with the disgusting/filthy comments until I finally hung up...feeling dirty and disgusted. This company should be shut down, and the sorry excuses for human beings making these phone calls should be prosecuted!

They called here today.
According to the message, I won a Caribbean cruise, and needed to press "9" to accept.

I reported him to the CRTC in Canada the # to report it is 1866580DNCL (Do Not Call List)

They told me I won a free Caribbian cruise. I told them I was one the do not call list  and to take my nbame off. He called me a c***s**king w***e and a b**tch I told him I was going to report him and he called me alot of awfull names.

Called. No message.  Unbelievable they react with obscenities.
