I received a call from above number.  Identified themselves as my MasterCard provider.  I questioned the validity of the call and contacted Capital One MasterCard.  The call did not originate from MasterCard and has no affiliation with MasterCard.  They are attempting to identify what credit cards you have.  Claim they can lower fees.  WARNING: DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!  I was asked to report them to BBB.

This number calls me all the time claiming they have all my credit card info in front of them, and that they can offer me lower rates.

I do not even have a credit card.
The guy barely speaks English either.

This company's website is a farce!!  The spelling mistakes are atrocious, the grammar is similarly bad, and most of it makes not sense, or contradicts itself.

In one piece of "advice" they tell you ONLY to make minimum payments on your cards, and the next (down below in their 72 tips) they tell you NEVER make only the minimum payments on your cards.  Furthermore, their financial advice is to stop eating out, except for special occasions, and "buy a crock-pot", if you can believe it?

The website is just perfect proof they it is FRAUD!!!!  SSB Classic Financial Group is FRAUD!!!

I got a call from 905-482-8519, or that is the number he gave when he called.  First thing was that the first guy who talked to me could barely speak English, and the phone connection was HORRIBLE.  He gave a VERY English name, and passed me on to guy #2 who said his name was Paul Smith and had a similarly bad accent, and poor command of the English language.

They said they were calling from SSB Classic Financial Group, and that they were a member of the BBB.  I checked, and it says: "This business is NOT a member of the BBB".  I confronted him with this, and he insisted that I was looking at the wrong website.

He asked for my Credit Card expiry date, and then asked for my Credit Card number.  At that point I started asking questions, like "why would Visa be interested in lowering my rate", and "can I call Visa to verify that you are working with them?"  He first asked me if I had the number to Visa...I told him that I could find it easily on the net.  He told me that if I called, they would deny doing business with them as they want to make money off of me.  And I asked, well, if they are working with you, as you say, and you want to lower my interest rate, then why would they deny working with you?   They didn't make any sense.  He was making mistakes all over the place.  He then told me he would give me Visa's number to call.  I took it down, but haven't bothered calling them to see if it's a real number.

I worked for JP Morgan & CHASE, a very LARGE credit card company.  We NEVER called people asking for information.  It was only if they were calling in to access the account that we would ask them questions to verify themselves.  And it could be done WITHOUT the card number (there is a set list of questions and they range over many criteria).

DO NOT give them any information.  I am going to investigate this some more, and I made a complaint with the BBB in Kitchener that covers a portion of Ontario including Markham.  We'll see what comes of it.  There was another set of posts on this site related to FFN, and it's the SAME technique, and the same crap.  And, the SSB site says that they are FFN Consulting (it's small, but it's there).

This company is a serious case of fraud.  I'll let you know if there is someplace we can complain to where they can be looked into.

I called Visa and said that they would do nothing unless I gave out info. They did not care to get any info from me. I asked if this was a progressive way to deal with fraud. Then I called the number back and told them visa would not lower interest rates for me or any third party. They said there company was S.B. Classic Financial and they have people that negotiate with the banks. I replied visa said this could not happen and I have to think your full of s*** and hung up.
