I used to answer as it looked like a local number but the telemarketer would not take no for an answer, becomes belligerent. my call display shows an unbelievable number of calls with no messages if I do not answer, I have asked for them not to call but they do. Today when I tried to call the number back it did not ring at all so I reported it on the CRTC website

FYI -  if you record the date and time and this number, you can report it (or any telemarketer) (there is a separate area) on the CRTC web site ( I am already on their do not call list and now have blocked the number on my phone

just got a call from these guys, local number showed on the phone so I answered it.  Told me there was a problem with my windows computer and asked me to go to it. I started asking a lot of questions and said I was recording their call and going to call the police. He told me to F Off and hung up.

They keep calling about once every half hour from 905-522-8708
When I answer, I hear nothing, then "Goodbye" and they hang up.
Called the number back once, but there wasn't even any dial tone nothing.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. I was informed that there was a lot of junk mail on my
computer and I needed help cleaning this up.

Told the woman to stop bothering me since I had received quite a number of similar calls before.
She ignored this and continued talking so I hung up.

She called, I picked up because it looked like a number that I thought I might know, I said "hello" 3 times until she finally said "goodbye." Without another word, really freaks me out because they have never called and on the one day that I am home alone sick they call.

I have been getting phone calls from this number 905 522 8708 but no one speaks , they say nothing so I hang up. Now I will never answer this  phone call from this number again.

They keep on calling me, and then hanging up!  The next one I get, I am reporting them to the POLICE for harrassment!!!!  Damned nuisances!!

I am getting NUMEROUS calls from this number.  I don't have a clue who the caller is, but I would certainly like them to STOP!!!!

What simple people we are to be intimidaded by these phone calls ? What can someone do to you over a phone ?  Unles you are STUPID enough  to give out  personal information, then you  get what you deserve, play along with them have some fun,  DONOT give out any personal information.

I answered the phone because the number is local. Indian accent, said he was from some Cyber security firm calling about the computer at this home. I knew as soon as he started talking it was a scam. So I said "really? I don't have a computer." He said "then what do you use?" "Nothing, but it is strange. If I don't have a computer, why am I being contacted by a cyber security company?" Then all I heard was CLICK. So as a local number I called back. Not even a ring, click or busy signal. Lol. I love messing with these guys!

Receive calls from this number every day to my mobile.  Have not picked up and they do not leave a message.  Have tried calling the number back but get nothing "all circuits busy" message.

Said your computer had a virus and they wanted your personal info DON'T GIVE ANYTHING

Called last night, 5:47 pm EST, man with "Indian" accent saying that he was calling about my "Windows operating system". Difficult to understand, of course realized it was the "scam" that has been widely reported, and also said that I had a Mac. He continued, and I asked if he would stay on line while I did a conference call to RCMP anti-fraud line.
I actually just hung up the phone, but the man (Kevin Watson) CALLED ME BACK @ 5:51 pm, and began to yell because I'd "falsely" accused him of fraud.
Long story short, my son 'confirmed' with me that he could definitely hear me at the RCMP phone line, and when my son interrupted Mr. Watson, Mr. Watson tried to explain loudly that he did not say he was from Microsoft, condemned me for accusing him of fraud ..... phone call ended shortly thereafter with the man telling me to "go f*** yourself".

It's a scam.  Caller with an Indian accent states that he's calling about my Microsoft operating system being corrupt.  Funny because we have Macs.

Called today with the old computer scam.  Noticing Errors/Warnings in the event viewer they told me my computer was infected and I needed to purchase a warranty from they.  $149 for 1 year and $209 for 2 years.  Just played the game with them before telling them that this was not happening.

Just got a call from 905-522-8708. It is a hamilton number.  SCAM. "Indian"  accent Claiming  to be from Micorsoft and my computer was infected and  would need to access remotely.  Was rather Rude when I told him it was a scam and not to call again.  It is widely reported since 2011 with fraud agencies and police.  BEWARE and do not give any info just hang up or don't answer.  Hope this helps anyone so they don't get scammed.

Called my home many times and was offensive to my wife.

Ireceived a call from these people claiming that our computer was being hacked.  They wanted information from our computer to correct the problem. He told me i get your massage from manufacture of micro soft Software so allowme to do repair.give me your admin password and your computer  systeem password. Pleaase donot give any thing may be its scam.

Same thing happened to me twice from this number. I asked which "major credit card " to verify and he couldn't tell me and said it was a redemption centre in Montreal. They offered two airplane vouchers and 100$ gas card but yet I needed to pay for the shipping of materials for the savings program. I told him I'm not interested and he started laughing. ..... I am seriously thinking of reporting them. Is it the RCMP? Or OPP ( I'm in Ontario) , or who do I contact?

They've been calling me for a few weeks and everytime I pick up, no one talks. Finally today a woman spoke and told me she was calling bc I am an active credit and debit user and she wanted to offer me a "rewards program" for stores like Walmart, Futureshop etc. another thing that was off was that she called me by my first and last name but my phone is under my moms name....just really weird.

Yesterday and today this number continues to call my cellphone, I answered today and said who are you and where did you get this number she claimed to be calling from some REDEMPTION PLACE in Monteal, I gave her heck and stated I have a Private number and they better lose it, obivously this is some kind of scam becuase everyone is hearing something different, everyone be aware don't be scammed protect yourselves from these preditors........Thank you for reading hopefully none of us will get scammed.....

Try a free telemarketer blocking software. Get time and date.When they called. . Call police, or use online Rcmp or FBI reporting. If they try to scam you. Or just harass you.

They called my number, I didn't pick up, but it was at 8 in the morning, before I was even functioning and very annoying.
