I'm so glad that I googled IDC and found this thread. They are actually hiring customer service reps. I found the ad on craaigslist and applied yesterday. A guy called me back within couple of hours to schedule an interview today @ 1:30. As I was in a shopping mall when I recieved the call, I didn't get the chance to ask him any detail abt the company. Anyways, I'm not going for any interview with IDC. It's good that I found the true picture of the company before wasting my time for the interview process.

They are a big scam. Be careful don't fall for free prize. They try to get you to buy their membership, they will asked you to put down payment and can canceled within 10 days when you call them back they will never answer the phone. They wait for that period of time to pass . My relative was scam they are still trying to get their money back. Your father and uncle was smart not to put any money down.

It's crazy how they can get away with trying to scam people, my father and uncle went down there trying to claim their prize. Prior to putting any money down knew sounded like it was BS, and cussed them out on the spot. Hope you guys can get your money back.

After a called from yesterday, this morning, I received another call for the same ballet I won a cruise! The even told me I original enter to win a car.  But end up winning this.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT be tempted by this.  My partner and I just lost the $1000 deposit, which was supposed to be 100% refundable within 10 days.

It's been 2 MONTHS and the cheque they FINALLY sent us BOUNCED!  A company had non-sufficient funds for $1000.  How pathetic is that???

You are unable to see which companies they're supposedly working with because they will NOT give you an account number or password (as promised) to browse their website.  

THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!

Sadly, I was swept away with the thought of a free trip.  My partner and I went to the pitch, put down $1000 deposit after being told that we had 10 days for a full-money back guarantee. We were meant to receive an account number and password where we could browse all the articles the club had to offer (trips, electronic, furniture, etc.).

We never received that number, and repeated calls to the company were not answered.

We went down in person to sign the cancellation paperwork and were told we'd receive a refund within 15 business days.  Those days came and went.  Finally, after much persistence and anger on our part, we received a cheque 2 MONTHS after signing.

We just found out this morning that the cheque BOUNCED!!


DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE FOOLED LIKE WE WERE!!!  We are currently looking into legal action to get our money back.

IDC is calling from a few different numbers now (905-673-0312 and 905-673-0700). They called me several times since mid-November 2009 and when I finally picked up, some guy in a heavy accent said I won a free trip to Vegas (flight and hotel), $500 spending money and all I have to pay for is the airplane ticket taxes. Stupid me I fell for it and gave him my personal info so that he can send me my prize. After I gave him my info, he said I had to pick up my prize in person at their office location in Mississauga and had to make an appointment because I had to sit through a 1 and 1/2 hour presentation, along with about 20 other winners. He then handed me to another person who would give me a claim number. They never told me their company name until I asked for it at the end. The next day I researched the company and visited their website and found out that they are a scam. I emailed them to say that I wanted them to remove my name and phone number from their database and stop calling me. The day before my scheduled appointment to attend their presentation they called me 11 times on my cell number and 9 times on my home number!!! Can you believe that. Every 1/2 hour or so they were calling. They left 2 messages out of the 20 calls, saying that I should call them back to confirm the prize claim number. They also said that I won an extra $1000 to spend someplace... I just deleted the message. I called them back and told them to stop calling me and that I'm not interested in what they were selling. Their website is http://idclub.ca and even though it states that you just have to attend the presentation and don't have to buy anything to claim the prize, I'm sure there is some catch. If I'm one of about 20 winners attending at that specific time slot on that day (there are many times and days you can choose from to attend the presentation), imagine how many winners in total they have to fulfill the prize for, especially if none of them join or pay anything. The company would be out of business. I work in marketing for a large corporation and we hold many contests, so I know the legality of fulfilling prizes. I was searching on their site for the contest rules and nothing is posted. It's not a legitimate contest (or so they call it a contest) and my only interest in attending the presentation was from a legal perspective. But since they called me so many times and pissed me off, I can't be bothered giving them 3 and a 1/2 hours of my time (2 hours to travel there and back and 1 and 1/2 hours to sit through the presentation). If anybody does attend the presentation, please update this forum with specifics and not just "yes the trip is free" because a worker from IDC can easily just write that.

So a friend of mine an myself applied and paid for the membership up front thinking we had the full 10 days to decided. Now it's day 10 and they havent returned our calls to get a refund. I called the generic number 9050 673 0700 and no one answers. It keeps going to random voicemail boxes. So i called the number attached to the posting here and someone picked up. She was surprised i got  through....
I aksed her for a fax so i could fax some information, and she said they only had one fax and it was the number i had. so i told her i needed to fax info for my membership and she said she had to ask her supervisor... um what? for a fax? So then she said she'd plug the machine in so i could fax later... I want my money back. How do i do this?

Evidently these people are incorrigible!  They called me tonight despite the fact my number registered on the NDNC. I filed a complaint with the CRTC.

I had the same experience. I contacted them 3 times. Everytime they said that they sent a refund check on the same day. The last one I went personally to their office and received the same answer. I never received my refund until now. I'm thinking to report to the police or getting a lawyer. Please send my an email if you are interested in joining a class action irawanss@yahoo.com

I said Helloooo ... She said you have won trip to Las Vegas ... Immediately I cut the call without saying any thing further. I am also on NDNC.

Some guy with heavy Asian/Indian accent. I told him to remove my number from their list and not to call again. Got a call this morning from the same #. Instead of picking up I filed a complain at https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng. If they call you don't agree to anything, it is a scam, I been thru some years ago.

Was called by these guys, but missed the call. Called them back. Gave me the Vegas schpeel. Said I had to pickup the prize tickets, no fee or payment required. No presentation either (had to be lying). The rep said no entry was filled out by us to win the prize. IDC had randomly chosen phone numbers instead of entries. He said our phone number was one of the "winners". I asked him to tell me what my phone number was, since I had called him and not given it to him. He gave me the wrong number. Needless to say I ended the call there.

IDC called said I won a trip to Vegas 3 days 2 nights. This is a couples event trip for 2 to Las Vegas. Please come into our office and claim your prize. Then the girl hands me off to her manager to give me the prize claim number. Think I will pass...

Got a call from this number and ignored it, called it back and a woman with a heavy accent picked up on the 3rd ring. I asked her to repeat the name of the company and said it was "NATIONAL DISCOUNT CENTER" when the DNCR came out I immediately registered my home and cell numbers to avoid these kind of calls, but alas they still get through. What is the point of registering to have your number removed so your not bothered just to be ignored.
