The caller from this phone number said that I had won a trip to Cancun 6 days & 5 nights and 5 days & nights. I listened to all the information of this but refused to give my credit card information when they asked. The man continued on with more details, all this trip for 2 adults & 2 children, then asked for my credit card info. For the 3rd time I said I do not give that info over the phone and hung up.

They just called me to congratulate me that I had won a trip that I had apparently filled out something at a travel place which is weird. They named the resort I was looking into. Their phone went

We just got a call from this number, but we never answer unknown numbers since we have a machine - if it is something important (and legit) we expect a message.  There was a long silence, but nothing.

After looking it up here, I saved it into the phone as a call from a scammer, and if they call again, will block.

What amazes me is that you actually believe people will be deceived by your lies.    You are a transparent liar.   That is obvious.   In a way your posts are a good thing because it clearly exposes you as a fraud to anyone who may have initially not realized you are a criminal.   So keep up the good work in exposing yourself, because  sunlight is the best cure for an infection.

My neighbor knows that now.  I told her that a week and a half ago.  After 2 days dealing with banks and credit card companies to change account numbers and access codes I think she's learned her lesson.

NEVER, EVER, *EVER*!!! Let a cold caller have access to your computer, people! You will lose ALL your sensitive information to these people!

"The first thing they do is turn off your anti-virus and other anti-malware programs." Uh... Yeah, genius. This is NOT A GOOD THING!! This allows them to embed something deep into your computer where its unlikely to be traced by any standard program.

Better safe than sorry, yeah... better to be safe by hanging up! If your computer is acting weird, take it to someone or call a professional. Never accept help from cold callers you dont know! If your computer is old, its eventually going to slow down regardless of what you do to it.

Actually, these donkeys DO make your computer run faster.  My neighbor fell for the scam about a month ago.  I found out 2 weekends ago, and my neighbor spent Monday and Tuesday of last week moving all of the family banking.

Apparently when you let the callers into your computer the first thing they do is turn off your anti-virus and other anti-malware programs.  That speeds up your computer significantly.

My neighbor didn't loose any money beyond the $80 they paid for the "service".  And a local computer repair place couldn't find any new malware.  Their CPU was old and slow before the attack, so they are replacing it.  Better safe than sorry.

Looks like you've been busy today ... posting your same lies on this and similar sites! Must be a slow day in your boiler room.

Let's get one thing straight here!!!
You (meaning PC/Microsoft software and OS users) call THEIR support department , NEVER the other way around! Got it!!! No matter how many times you vomit out your BS it always comes up false!!! In other words more BS!!!

http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx

"Technical assistance

Contact your anti-malware vendor for assistance with identifying or removing virus or worm infections. If you need more help with malware removal and other virus-related issues, contact Microsoft Support."

Key words to note: contact Microsoft Support" ... the customer calls Microsoft!!

http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx

"Cybercriminals don't just send fraudulent email messages and set up fake websites. They might also call you on the telephone and claim to be from Microsoft. They might offer to help solve your computer problems or sell you a software license. Once they have access to your computer, they can do the following:

   *        Trick you into installing malicious software that could capture sensitive data, such as online banking user names and passwords. They might also then charge you to remove this software.
   *        Take control of your computer remotely and adjust settings to leave your computer vulnerable.
   *        Request credit card information so they can bill you for phony services.
   *        Direct you to fraudulent websites and ask you to enter credit card and other personal or financial information there.

Neither Microsoft nor our partners make unsolicited phone calls (also known as cold calls) to charge you for computer security or software fixes.
Telephone tech support scams: What you need to know

Cybercriminals often use publicly available phone directories so they might know your name and other personal information when they call you. They might even guess what operating system you're using.

Once they've gained your trust, they might ask for your user name and password or ask you to go to a website to install software that will let them access your computer to fix it. Once you do this, your computer and your personal information is vulnerable.

Do not trust unsolicited calls. Do not provide any personal information.

Here are some of the organizations that cybercriminals claim to be from:

   *        Windows Helpdesk
   *        Windows Service Center
   *        Microsoft Tech Support
   *        Microsoft Support
   *        Windows Technical Department Support Group
   *        Microsoft Research and Development Team (Microsoft R & D Team)"

And your broken english also gives you away too, shill!!!

Busted moron!!!

Falied once again, shill!!!

Let me again emphatically and strongly state ... MICROSOFT DOES NOT CALL YOU!!! YOU HAVE A PROBLEM (ANY PROBLEM) ... YOU CALL THEM!!!

Stop living in a backward mirrored universe, Re/exe/puddicombe/jan = Shill!!!

Like I previously said ... the more you lie, the worse you look! Oh and I also said busted too!!!

You really must not be able to read english well .. or at all!!! There are posts on this thread straight from Microsoft that clearly state that they DO NOT call us, we call them if we have a problem!

I'm almost certain they will probably pop back up here again too. but, and as you said, we have the websites (including Micosoft) that warm about such scams ... armed with the facts and truth while they only have their lies and boiler rooms to rely on. They're outnumbered in more ways than one.

Yea, with the boiler room inhabitants (and their shills) it's more like the anthesis of what legit call centers involve these days.

They call you, scam you and/or infect your system with harmful elements for whatever malicious intent ... while with legit calls centers we call them.

But like all criminal filth ... these boiler room vermin always have it backwards.

Yes - the shill (singular, not plural) is clearly out-numbered and out-smarted here.  We've listed quite a few websites that warn people of this scam.  Maybe that's why they've stopped posting (for now anyway!).

So now you're having a conversation with yourself, shill?

Not only amusing but laughable!

Boiler room 'people' = scammers by the way! How do they help people by scamming them and messing up their computer systems? That's only helping themselves to screwing up others lives and nothing else!!!

Again you get a big fat F for effort!
But keep hanging yourself with you idiotic attempts ... makes you look that much worse in the eyes of others!!!
