Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

   It is illegal for a debt collection company to call after 9:00 PM and before 8:00AM.
   Debt collection agents must identify themselves and inform you that he/she is calling regarding a debt.
   Debt collection companies are not allowed by law to call more than 3 times per day.
   If a debt collection agent contacts you about someone else's debt or have contacted you via a wrong number you are still protected under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
   If you are currently being represented by an attorney, all contact from the debt collection companies must be routed directly through them.

It's ARC credit collections. They call from a bunch of different numbers.

This is the first time I got a call from this number. He asked for an ex-employee of ours. I told him I cannot give out any information about ex-employees or anyone for that matter. He was very rude saying that our ex-employee gave him this information. I told him if he gave you his personal information why don't you call him on his personal phone number. He said our ex-employee filled out an application and this is the information he gave me. He wanted to know when he last worked here. I politely said thank you and hung up.

Block it. Don't answer. If long distance numbers are important, they'll leave messages. They won't quit. I legally
removed from anything they can collect and they've been told, but have still been calling for over 5 years. I only
know when I go to erase unwanted calls, and my ringer is programmed not to sound when I enter said numbers
in. that means they only get 1 ring - the first call from (whatever) number they start using.

This number is listed to a number of collection agencies in southern Ontario. they pass it around like a hat Apparently. a company called HRC Collections out of BC uses this number as one of their HUNDREDS they use to try and trick their victims into picking up the phone. NEVER answer these calls and NEVER change your phone number. Most new phones block 99 numbers and then there are those you get from your phone company with your number. Of course the collections companies will always have PLENTY more, but you can at least add to and subtract from (for years, if you are actually legal fodder for these bottom-feeders) and have relatively quiet days and still get the calls and messages you want. Otherwise, get a cellular and give the number on a need2know basis and only to those who won't pass it on to these vermin. The scary thing is, they propagate! scary thought i know

I keep getting a call from this company. The person identified himself as Mark Hodgson who works for a collection company. He threatened my 84 year old father who has repeatedly said he is not the person he is looking for. The calls come in at least 3 times per day and when we changed the phone number they got the new one within a few days. The most resent was when this Mark person said he was going to start to call at 7 in the morning to wake up my father since he is a loser with no job.

This person is disgusting and should be arrested.

Yeah, this is number is constantly calling my house for no reason. WHY, who ever u r , will u stop calling PLEASE

this number calls every day, once a day, a never leaves a message. Its been ongoing for about 3 months. Anyone know who this is or what they want?
