Am getting harassing calls from a telemarketer for windows. Just tried calling the 1-877 number but am prompted to press 1 for a charge of $2.99 to connect to their new number. Gets calls every night between 7 & 8. Have told them to take me off the list they informed me that they can't and will be calling every night. They don't care about the do no call list. Does anyone have another number I can call to tell them to stop these frustrating calls

I have received this call 10 times today alone so I answered and waited for them to say hello which felt like forever and then finally they answer long story short. They wanted me to fix my windows and that Microsoft told them to contact me ...lol....I laughed at them and told them that i didn't think that was possible because I don't have a computer...(lie of course) so they proceed to go on with saying that I do and it was very important for me to do as they requested so i got angry and told them to never call me again and said if Microsoft had an issue with their windows or anything eles that I dont think they would call me personally and everyone would be informed in  other ways and hung up ....then 10 min later my phone rang again and it was the same guy with a different name (Carl Smith) first time then (John Hope) but i knew it was the same person because he had the same lisp and accent as the first guy so I  just hung up, but enough is enough, I have more important things to do then answer these calls, urgggggg hopefully someone will get them back

I tell every single one that calls that I had them all replaced a month ago and they never call back.

they call us non stop i dont answer it but we are getting tired of them calling going to tell them to foff soon!:)

When this number appears on my caller ID there is no name or business given. When this number is ringing I simply turn off the ringer and voila the stress is eliminated. Typically, this called is placed during the supper hour.

Then contact or call them for a Job, waste their time, have them spend money on training you, driving to meet you, people who get calls, tell them you want to have someone come by for a demonstration, DON'T BUY A THING, just thank them and waste their time.

Ask them if they would like your friends phone number who is also looking for windows and give them the police station number or telephone busters phone number

CRTC(do not call list), COPS, RCMP, Bell, The Court System, none of them care about anyone getting calls and harassed from these companies, they simply don't have time to answer and investigate all the complaints.

So take it in your own hands and simply play interested in jobs, getting demonstrations, maybe even get them installed and don't pay the bill so they have to take you to court to demand payments. Tell the courts you didn't have the money to pay. Then if enough customers do this time and time again, they will not be able to afford to stay open when all their time is being wasted on customers they think want to buy or they will at least loose the telemarketing offices. Don't worry the people on the phones and installers will still get paid but the company will be paying them to simply talk and waste time

The DNC is, you know, completely ineffective.

While it may work in stopping these particular parasites from calling, it will just be an invitation from others, not based in Canada, to call.  Especially scammers and criminals.  Though really, anyone who does cold calling is effectively the same as a scammer anyway.

This garbage needs to be 'opt in', not 'opt out'.  Furthermore, all of these parasites need to be put out of business.  Perhaps if some sort of 'warning shot' is sent out, it will prevent further parasites from doing this crap.

These b*****ds keep calling and refusing to identify themselves or the company they are calling about when I start asking questions about why they want my personal information.  They just get rude and hang up when they realize they aren't going to get your information.  These guys are really pissing me off and the  window company should be shut down or sued/fined for this type of practice.  It seems that they don't care if you are on the No Call List that the government has set up.

I have now given myself a new part time job...to STOP Landmark Home Solution from calling people. I will be submitting complaints to the CRTC on a daily basis so they take these guys DOWN. Their products suck. Their Windows are over priced.

Maybe a better idea would be for us to schedule them to come out to provide a free estimate, and then make sure you are not home when they arrive.  When they call back suggest another time for them to come out, and again forget to be home. Continue to do this over and over again.  If we do this enough they might put us on their DNCL.

I have received this call many times from this number.   When answered there is nothing only silence and then the call is hung up and you have a dial tone.  Very annoying to say the least.  At least have the the intelligence to answer and state what they want.  Also several times during the night my phone has rang and then is immediately hung up so you cannot know who is calling but I suspect it is the same scammers.

They call my house  at all hours day and night ,there actually was a landmark van in my driveway last night , don't know why , he sat in the truck for about 15 min with the lights turned off , this was late around 10 during the storm, made me very nervous considering they had called earlier in the day and my identical identified them  at a different number than this one , but this number calls all the time, no message . They just called again ,this has been going on now for weeks.

Previously working there, I can tell you this: you don't want them to call you, put your name on the NATIONAL Do Not Call List. Google search it, you'll find it, register your number. Make sure its the CANADIAN one.
Landmark periodically obtains updates from the National DNCL, and that is something they MUST abide by, as it is law.

If you all can read as well, make sure you look at the fine print on the National DNCL website. Telemarketers, once they put you on their internal DNCL, or once you register your number with the National DNCL, are allowed to call you up to 31 days from the date you made the request.

Also search the website for "Who can still call you" because there are numorous organizations exempt from the regular DNCL.

As another note, DNCL is not PERMANANT! The National DNCL only keeps your number registered for 5 years, so make note of the date it expires, and extend it when you need to! As for internal DNCLs, I'm not sure.

Also, you hear "silence" because its an automatic dialer and it connects to you before an agent does. Wait about 10-15 seconds, and you should hear someone.

Why don't you just tell them you have brand new windows in your brand new home, thats what i did and they never called again..

I too received calls from this number, I have tried to call them back but it tells me the number is no longer in service. I wish they would stop calling me, especially in the late hours when my kids are sleeping.

Received a call from this number about 30 minutes ago and let the machine get it. I could hear people in the background for a few seconds then a guy gets on and starts breathing heavily into the phone and starts slightly moaning. Had enough and ended up deleting the message after a few seconds.
