Keeps calling. Don't leave message. No body picks up when I call back.

We have received more than one call from these idiots and are fed up with them as well!  How in the world do they get around the DNC list?  Severe restrictions need to be imposed on them and other anonymous callers ie:  sales, collection, surveys etc... All too often they disrupt your sleep, day, or suppertime ...

I registered my unlisted phone number with the National Do Not Call List in January of 2012, however this number - Just Energy? - keeps calling me.  I have called this 'customer service line' that others have referred to, and I have left a message that states I want to be off their call list.  I will see if they do what I asked, but I don't have high hopes that they'll stop calling.

I found a good website - http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/info_sht/t1031.htm - about what telemarketers are allowed and not allowed to do.  If you're having trouble with telemarketers, refer to this website because it's from the CRTC and discusses how telemarketers are to conduct their business.

Interesting...we already have a water heater from National Home Services, and yet this number keeps calling!  Maybe I'll answer it next time...

They called me 3 times this morning.  All three times there was silence on the other end, no matter how long I waited.  So, when you google this number, it's interesting that the sites that come up tell you they have found the caller, but it will cost you to get their name.

Got a call from this number at 4:21 p.m. on Sunday afternoon from some guy calling from Just Energy offering to upgrade our thermostat.   Firstly, greatly object to sales calls on a Sunday and secondly we don't deal with this company.   When I told him this he said but we will come in and put in a brand new thermostat, we are taking care of our customers.   Had to break the news to him that we are not a customer, we replaced our furnace in the last year with a new thermostat so his records were wrong and due to their making sales calls on a Sunday afternoon that if we were customers of his company we would be taking our business elsewhere. Plan on filing a complaint tomorrow.

I have received two of these calls in a row. Rang twice then stopped. I called the number and left a msg with them stating that if they did not stop I would be submitting a formal complaint to CRTC thru the DNC website. Here's hoping it works.....

i get these calls also 3 to 4 times a day.
Fact: telemarketers get paid by the number of dials they make
so its up to us to stop them from harrassing us

I once had one who would call at 11 pm and I called my telephone company
and they called them and it stopped
Maybe thats what we should do call our telephone company see if they are willing to help

This is Just Energy.  They have been calling my house 3 times a day for the past 3 weeks.  I am on the DNC list and have reported them.  I tried telling them today to remove me but the guy on the phone hung up on me before I could finish telling him.

Believe this is Just Energy, whom I have already lodged multiple complaints against with the RCTC @ 1-866-580-3625 and the calls stopped for a while... however they have started up again in 2013 so I will be calling RCTC again and lodging more complaints.

It is a gas company wanting to update your water heater.

Marre,  did you report the calls to the DNC Registry?  The DNC  is just a list.  It doesn't block calls or anyone who wants to call,   and anyone can call anyone. Nothing to stop them except their own honesty.  There is no immunity from unwanted callers.   It is just a list that all Legitimate Telemarketing Businesses are required to purchase at frequent intervals,  that lists who does not want to be contacted for sales purposes.   There are many exempt, there are many loopholes,  and there are many scammers and unlawful who can and will call and it is impossible to catch them.  If they are legitimate businesses,  and are repeatedly reported,  they will be contacted and receive a hefty fine.  I would encourage you to go to the DNC Registry site and read about how it works.  What it does and what it does not do.  I has no capability except the honesty of the honest.   Like a road "STOP" sign.
Only the Lawful will stop...

got a call from them and I am also on DNC list how is it these people get away with calling constantly and you are on a DNC list it obviously doesn't work and its misleading and I annoyed by calls like this

I am on the DNC list; this number keeps calling all times of the day.  I don't pick it up, but with the internet I have found that this is Just Energy trying to sell me a hot water heater.  I am on the DNC list for a reason.  I have had this call before and picked it up sometime last year.  I told them to take me off their list permanently; but the calls started happening again this January 2013. My  phone number is [removed].  STOP calling here.

We are on the Do Not Call list but we have received at least three calls a day since January 10th, 2013, if not every day, every other day.  Usually the calls occur while we are at work but on January 11th and again on January 18th I happened to be home and because I recognized the number I picked up and told them not to call us and that we are on the DNC list.  On the second occasion, before the telemarketer was able to say anything, I asked what the name of the company was and his answer was Just Energy.  Even after saying I did not want to be called he was very insistant in trying to get his message across.  I just said we were not interested and didn't want to receive any more calls.  However, we have continued to receive two to three calls since then. I now plan on making a complaint.  I have logged the days and times this company has called. If you google Just Energy there are some interesting results.  It seems there harassing tactics have caused them to have law suits against them.

Same deal, I am being called repeatably. So i called back and got the Just Energy message. looked up just energy on the web and got a phone number for Al Shulman, VP, Marketing  Phone: 905.670.4440 ext. 74469.

I called and got thru to a person, I then complained about being on the DNC I suggest everyone who gets a call does the same thing, maybe if they get called constantly they will stop calling us!!!!

They want you to rent a water heater, and don't tell you the contract can
be 15 or more years long. Waste of money! Buy your own!

Wise up. If they call you with an offer that sounds too good to be true, IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. It has to be a BETTER deal for them than for you, $money from you *MUST* flow to them in the end, how else are they going to stay in business giving away these free offers? I guarantee you that you will find the offer WAY WAY WAY less attractive in the end.

Finally answered this number after at least 4 calls per day - they said they were from the company that supplies our gas and wanted to replace our water heater to save energy for free and could get a $300 rebate on our bill.  Told them to call back and we will investigate more before accepting - could be a scam...........

they wont stop calling

Received a call from this number, didn't recognize who it was from so I didn't answer it.  They didn't leave a message but I called the number back and was greeted by a pre-recorded message stating that I had reached the customer service department, my call is important to them and that I should continue to hold.  After about 30 seconds, another recorded message came on stating that I had reached Just Energy's customer service department and I should leave a message and someone would get back to me.  I told them that I was on the DNC registry and they are to remove my number from their call list.

This number is also constantly calling my house, I've hung up on them many of times after telling them to stop calling. I work for a survey company myself and even we're not this relentless.

They started calling a few days ago, once a day. I'm also on the DNC list.

Yesterday these people called me claiming my father did a survey for them last week. My father died 12 years ago so I told them that was impossible and hung up. They've been calling me every hour since.
