I think these calls are instigated by credit companies as a form of skip tracing. If you answer these calls a record is kept as when you are at home. This info can be used to sic more illegal telepricks onto your line. The question is . If a Canadian company is hiring these Indian telemarketers, why is there not any laws to fine the contractors

Call from a gentleman with a thick Indian accent asking me about my security system. When I told him mine was fine, I told him to stop calling my number. He said he would . We shall see.

Just received a call from this number, couldn't understand 90% of what the person was saying, and I've heard a lot of Indian accents.  All I got out of the ramble was it was some home security company and he already knew I had a system but was offering some upgrade or something free for 3 months....I stopped him, asked what company, he says something again that I can't understand and tries to keep going.  So I stopped him again and asked how did he know I already have an alarm system (knowing that he is not calling from AlarmForce, my current provider).  Silence on the other end, although there was a lot of background noise like a party was happening.  He tries to ignore my question and keep going, so I asked again, how did he know.  He then said something in a foreign language (not French or English) and hung up.  All I say is, try and come here.  If you get past my alarm, 2 dogs and my .22 rifle, then you deserve some of the items in my house.

They called me earlier and I called back blocked, less than 2 minutes after they called me right back@ They can obviously see who's calling even though I had blocked my number yikes! Apparently they're located some where in Thornhill. This needs to stop, the next time they call I will report it to the non-emergency Police line.

I received a call from this party this evening, said no need for another home security system I already have one, also own a gun and have a large dog.  Stop calling my number and hanging up, it's a pain in the a**.

So I received this call from this guy, as described by everyone at the same tel # 905-695-9048.  I picked up the call and they hung up?  tried to 411 them and got nothing so thought I'd give them a ring back.  This man with an Indian accent picks up and I say someone called me from this #?  he didn't identify a company or anything when he answered.  He knew it was me?  Perhaps because I rang him back so soon.  He tried to sell me home security?  I cut him off and said forget it and hung up.  Than I googled the No and got this blog. Good at least someone is documenting this harassment.  Anyway after reading some of the blogs and comments about concerns that someone may be trying to identify if someone is home to rob them etc.  I called this idot back and the same guy picked up the phone however this time it rang several times.  He picked up and I told him he identified himself as a security sales person.  I advised I found this blog and advised many people have complained about their behaviour, in fact as identified in this blog the RCMP has been notified.  I advised this person I never want to receive another call - I HAVE HOME PROTECTION.  He didn't even try to defend himself, just said okay and we hung up.  Thanks everyone for making me aware.  We need to confront this individual when he calls, if you feel harassed in anyway contact your local authorities.  

Another reason why business numbers and users need to be registered in some sense, so that theis kind of alleged spoofing can be stopped, traced, and eradicated at the source.  Do we not have the technology?  Of course we do.  Do we have the balls?  Apparently not.  Sorry for you, but registration adn regulation must become a "cost of doing business", so that you can restore your credibility, and prove you are following common sense rules, or you pay the consequences.

Just received a call from 695-9048. I live in Vaughan. From reading the other posts, looks like they call everywhere! They didn't leave message and hung up as soon as the answering machine came on. Not impressed!

Yes same call torqued me with constant calls since October.  Finally I agreed, there were supposed to show up to fix it.  Never showed up and that number does not exist when called back.  The offer is too good to be true they will throw bells and whistles to get you

Very scary. I am now making sure that my house is  even more secure.

Called back when they hung up. Asked the man who answered (could barely speak English) told him to remove us from there list. He said ok. Complained that they call ANY day at ANY hour and I was fed up. Asked for a manager and he said he was.
He proceeded to ask of I spoke English...which I was. Then he said Must be stupid and not understand. That started me cursing at him till he hung up.

Called saying it was alarm monitoring and we already had system  as he asks right? Hung up but sure makes ya wonder   Isn't this great. Caller Id and if you say no alarm they call later and you aren't home then it's open door to them.  They have your address they know no alarm maybe they can park out front and call from a blocked cell phone to see if anyone answers.  We should just put our valuables on the curb and let them have it I guess.  Who can we report this crap to?

this person called my house tonight and my son answered and got frightened from the voice.

Don,t let him or whatever they are come around to your place. Id report it soon. I calculated 5 calls in february here. I will phone them back at some point.....I am Mad at this...

I reported 5 Calls from that no in February. I am not sure where it is coming from but its a 905 No so it must be from York region or Mississauga area...

I still get calls from this no. I have recorded in February that whoever it is from this no called me 5 Times already.
When I decided to call back this no it rang for at least 10 times with no answer.
I will try again and if I get someone I will question them.....

Be careful of 905 695 9048. They are trying to sell an alarm system, exceptionally bad english and very rude. Called themselves Reliance with so called great deal...

I got repeated calls from 9055537600,claiming to provide duct cleaning services. Although we said no,
kept calling. Looks like a scam. Stay away!!!!

I think that the person has an Indian accent on the other end. It could be some Duct cleaning service or some research survey.

I think Im going to call the no and see what happens and who answers. They are annoying and i reported it already.

I have been getting these calls from 905 695 9048 I calculated that it was 3 times this month so far this year.
The first call was Feb 3rd  at 2:15pm. 2nd call Feb 7th 8:32pm 3rd call 4:54pm.
I believe these calls were coming from the 905 Region . I am sure he had an Indian accent but i couldn,t make it out what he was selling.
If he calls again from that phone no I will find out more of what they are trying to sell. It is annoying to get these calls. I want them stopped.....
