Called, I did not answer they left a message. Joseph, looking for a web designer - blue genesis is the company. This number had called me multiple times in the past. They say they are looking for a web design firm to deal with. About a year ago I was bored at a wedding so I sat and listened to their whole sales pitch. It's just a money making ploy, selling services, unsure if they are legit or not.

This number is BlueGenesis.com (subsidiary of Hostopia.com).

It's their outbound sales centre and you can't call back on the 905 number - it's a front end number issued by an IP system for outbound calls only.

Totally legitimate business - I've been dealing with them for 6-years.

Got a phone call from 905-740-1230 and they gave me a number to call back. 800-266-4881 ext 2222. Traced to Blue Genesis.

Received a call from 905-740-1230 at 1327 EDT. A girl, by the name of Alice, was calling about my website - just like the rest above - wanting to know about the services that we our - I am in the consulting business.  She said that a Mr. Bradley was looking for a company in our area and wanted to know when they could call. I said "sure - go ahead!" You don't turn down a possible business lead - you never know where they come from.  Alice definitely had a very Canadian accent.  She said she was calling from Toronto and that Mr. Darrell Bradley would be calling me on Monday. Well, we'll see... it should be interesting, seeing all the other comments here... I'll report back...

Unhappy that this caller got my mobile number and reached my cell. The caller had a foreign accent and was not audible other than they were asking to speak to my spouse. I called back as I thought it were a legitimate call, but they never did answer the phone.

I had a missed call yesterday from this number - hung up before I could even take the call.  Same thing this morning at 10:30am.  Does anyone NOT affiliated with Blue Genesis or Fortune City that knows of a good way to make these calls stop?!  I don't need these prank calls, I've got a web design business to run...

received a call from 905-740-1230 while on another important call.  When I got off that call tried the number but call was unable to go through.   With the amount of comments on this web site and the several ways people have tried to find information on this number.... and with all the thiefs out there....  I am thinking of turning this over to the law and see if they pick up on anything....   Better safe then sorry....

Hey all.  I just found out that Blue Genesis is an affiliate company of Fortune City.  Apparently, they are a hosting company that has access to Fortune City's database.  When I asked for an explanation from Fortune City regarding this call they stated this was not Fortune City policy and would be looking into the issue promptly.  I explained to them that Blue Genesis is not doing Fortune City any favors by calling potential customers and hanging up on them.  I also suggested if it were my business I would address this immidiately.  The person I was talking with agreed.

Very smart - going to the site log to see who came to the site...  Great idea.

Same thing... happened to me 905-740-1230... I tracked my site hits and it came from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States [69.49.114.10].

They called and hung-up....
Here is a tip - if you are trying to run a successful web development business... don't piss-off you potential clients with idoits doing VALUED prank calls...

Wrong...Misterburke. It is a problem when someone calls me and hangs up. If this is the "regular day to day operations of a Value Added IT Service provider." I feel sorry for you...but don't call me any more!

Just got the call and guess what...they hung up. Strange,  I spoke with someone named Preeti Patel last week and she asked my about my web design/development business. I agreed that she could send my contact info to someone named 'Darrell Bradley'. Should I expect to get regular hang-ups from this number for life now?

I read alot of logs with people complaining about this number. The company is called Blue Genesis. They are a web hosting company that call and call and don't leave messages. A royal pain if you ask me.

I am so glad I searched this number and found you people.
First message today 10/25.  I will not be calling them back.  I host my own customers' websites and I am a web designer.  It is amazing that others would contact me to provide me with a service I am already providing to others.

"enter password and pound key", then it went to a dial tone and hung up.

Let's clear the air here.  This company is not "fishing".  The number you are calling belongs to a Hosting and IT Outsourcing provider called Blue Genesis.  They do have a partner relations department and also a business development center that do outbound calling.  The 905-740-1230 number can not be reached because it really is not a working number.  It is assigned to the front end of an IP based phone system supporting the whole company.  It is dial-out only.  The 800 number left on Luke's voice mail is a working phone line and the extension belongs to an Account Manager.

There is nothing "unethical" going on here aside from the regular day to day operations of a Value Added IT Service provider.

I've been getting multiple calls from this company for a couple of months now.  I tell them I'm not interested (they are a hosting company one minute and a web development company the next).  They ignore the fact that I'm not interested and continue to call back.

Called my number, got an answering machine, left no message.

I went to my hosting company to see who hit my site right before my call. It was Hostopia.com, they have a 905 number. They are fishing and doing it unethically. I sent them an e-mail stating the facts!

Someone from this number just called me and started asking about my website business. If they are a web site development company maybe they are calling people who have a website stating they create them and this company is fishing. We only talked about 1 minute and got disconnected. I tried calling back but no luck!

I did research and 800-266-4881 is on a website for Professional Education Designs which looks like some kind of website / presentation design firm.
