Similar experience to others, but I was called from: 613-707-1602, Please be aware of this number too. After calling them on their bluff they hung up, after calling them back several times to get more info and give them a piece of my mind, guy threatens me: "I will seriously kill you if you call one more time", could not believe this but don't want provoke further.

Anyone reading this, not willing be bullied by such folks and threats, feel free to take up the fight and call back that number, bombard them or maybe string them along to waste their time, that's one way to put an end to this.

I also just got a call from this number and they told me the same things as mentioned above... I hung up and called them back. Surprisingly they pick your call and say this is CRA. There must be some agency or department who can go after these guys and track they using the number....

I received call two time today but no body was talking. He just hanged up.

same guy called from 905-963-7379, told he is CRA agent and court case will be filled on Monday for not paying taxes and be ready for $ 15 thousand fine from CRA if you donot not pay by today . ask me to go to homedepot and buypay load cards. talked to homedepot employe , she said do not buy its scam, thanks home depot saving ne $1000. right away went to report to local PEEL police headquaters, police officer din'nt file complaint and said just beware. also reported to RCMP

OMG. They call me too asking money or I will be arrested my husband and the ask me to pay 12000 when I told you are not from RCA he got mad and he told me I am Kevin Miller and I told him he is nothing but a fraud and he got mad and talk very trashy

same thing happened to me. however they kept calling saying police are coming. its a scam. they were very rude and were swearing as well. i highly doubt a cra agent would speak in this manner.

I just received the call for this # abov 905-963-7379. They told me that they are calling from revenue agency and asked me to pay $2000.00 as penalty. Its is a scam. Please do not not believe them.They were rude to me. they'd sent two letters advising me of re-assessment of tax years 2008-2012. I challenged him as I had not received anything and he said that was for me to prove to a 'judge'. Told me to hire 'a good lawyer', also said he said go to the home depot buy voucher $ 500 each buy four voucher his Indian right way i tell him also he said if you don't have money give $1000 then rest of after.

I got the same phone call from  905 -963-7379 stating they were the CRA.  I almost fell for it, but luckily I googled the number and saw that they were fake.  Now I call them and irritate them, I ask them stupid questions..  I suggest everyone do the same, that is the only way of getting back at them, the law can't do anything because they are all the way in india.  I am pretty sure alot of people fell for their scam.  

Got a call from this number 905-963-7379. The called sounded Indian origin but name given was Denise Wilson and pretending from CRA. These scammer should be punished that are destroying the peace and privacy of people!!!

I was just contacted by a man calling from this phone number. He told me that I owed $2249 in back taxes and had been sent two notices which I had failed to respond to and if I didn't get him the money today i would be going to jail. We googled his phone number and discovered the scam.

Its a scam. Don't listen to this guy pretending to be from CRA. Best way to deal with these guys is to spread awareness about them to warn people. Post the information on as my posts as possible.

Received the call from above phone saying that they represent Revenue Canada. Since we have changed the address I gave him our new address.
I call back after sometime and somebody lifted the phone and I told him I will report regarding his call to concern authorities. Will somebody stop this menace.

Wow - I just had my first fraud attempt. A bit exciting. Similar experience to previous posters. Caller indicated they'd sent two letters advising me of re-assessment of tax years 2008-2012. I called the local police to report and before I as able to tell them the story they said 'if it was a call from the 'CRA' sleep easy tonight as it is a scam'. Ba$tards! I was tempted to call them back and tell them to go to hell but advised against playing their game! :)

Just received the same call advising me that the police were coming tomorrow to take me into custody and I need to appear in court and will be charged $15,000 for an amount of $2800 due from a reassesment that was four years overdue. I called CRA to confirm - luckily they were open late because it is tax season. The # given to call back was 905-963-7379. I called the line back by it was dead. I checked the last # that called and found the call was from a 975 number (Missouri area code)... Scammers.
If this happens to you, call CRA and talk to a "real" CRA agent, they were very helpful.

fake fake fake!!

Just got aq call from a Indian guy making a fake Canadian accent  pretending to be a RIck Brown  saying the same thing.. pretending to be CRA, he said

" IM from the CRA do you know who that is? ON MOnday we are filing a lawsuit against you and taking you to court, Do you have a lawyer that can represent you?" He was rude and trying to be intimidating.

When I called back he changed his name to Kevin Miller and made these threats. Im sure many people fall for the scam.

When I received the phone call it was showing unknown number on my caller ID. The guy was trying very hard to hide his south asian accent. Gave his name as David Walker !!!

I told him that I will call him back and asked for the call-back number. He gave me this 905 number. I also asked for his cra id and gave me it while keep yawning.

Same thing happened here.  They called and my wife said to call back in 5 min. The person called back in 3 min and got aggressive as he had to wait.  I did not get a chance to speak to him - but it was this same number...

Some fraud people calling and ask money.  He said from CRA.  I don't know What Canadian gov. and CRA doing

somebody called me today that i need to pay my taxes that i already paid. they said it was from CRA. Also they said if i dont pay my money by today i'll get in jail and be charged $15000.Just to be sure i googled the number. so most of the answer i found was that it was a scam. so i think this is a spam but not sure. is it ?

It sounded like a scam. Good I checked the number on the web.

They called my house and left a message to call them back.  Said they were with the Reassessment Dept with the CRA.  He had an Indian accent and said his name was Kevin Miller and left his extension.  Even gave me a CRA tax file number.  They told me they tried to contact me twice and I haven't responded so they were going to the courts unless I pay them the money owing.  They were very threatening and aggressive.  Pi**ed me off.  I called a friend of mine who worked at the CRA and said the CRA does not do what they did.  I will be reporting this to the antifraudcenter.ca.

That line should be disconnected so they can't use it and waste other people's time.

i just got a call from 905-963-7379 saying he is from assessment dept.and asking about my husband's cell no., saying he has a law suit against him  when i didn't give him the information he said inform your husband that within 3 hours he has to call back other wise we will see him in the court tomorrow.  when i asked him about his name , he said david walker. then  i found this site and came to know that it is really a scam.

Called asking for my husband. Said he is part of CRA and that my husband owes money. Funny enough we JUST got off the phone with the ACTUAL CRA, so there is no reason they would be calling us again to get payment (because we don't owe anything!). We have had one friend get the same phone call about a week ago, and my mother in law about 2 weeks ago. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Tell them to beat it.

Same thing happened with me. The guy is abusing me and asking for money by the  name of CRA.

I also received call from this number, he told he was calling from CRA, when I asked the reason, he told I have $2700 due in tax , and I have not replied to their notice, acutally I did not receive any notice from CRA, he was asking that CRA is going to file a law suit against me , do i have my attorney, I said show me a notice or fax me, he was just threatening, it was a call from call centre probably in India.

It is fake call, they are targeting Indian community , do not talk to them, do not give any info to them, sometimes they abuse you on phone by using Indian slang language.

You can make a complain in police station.
