This guy named peter says he is calling about windows(from my computer) is sending him alerts.  It is a scam!!!!!  This is the second call I have received from them but with a different number.  The first was 425-688-9652 and instead of unknown name it  said "v01220236530035"

Called us tonight windows viruses

Got the call tonight.  Knew my last name.  Said he was from some ministry in Ontario and my computer was sending them messages.  I said I don't believe you and he hung up quickly - sounds Indian or Pakistani.  Maybe I should call the police and conference him with them.

that same number wont stop calling me. i won't answer it because i dont know it and when i search it up on 411 it says "Bell Canada landline from St. Catharines-Thorold, ON"
when i call back theres no line. Dont know what it is but it needs to stop.

I want this scam company to remove my name and stop calling

This number keeps calling my house about some dam computer errors. I have told them every time that I am not interested for Microsoft does not make these type of calls. I know it is a SCAM, but they keep calling. I want to know who it is calling.

I'm on the Do Not Call list but of course that doesn't seem to matter to these people nor, it would seem, to the CRTC or whoever is responsible for monitoring these unwanted calls.

What a crock................. Just had a call from this number and I hung up on him when he started with his line.

SCAM. Call from 905-984-8824 which I answered, because it is so very similar to my parents, just 2 digits reversed...  He said he is from Windows Services and there is a problem on my pc.
Just spent a very enjoyable 45 minutes on the phone with a very frustrated Microsoft employee from Nigeria. Seems that my computer is really broken, because no matter what he asked me to do, things just did not work right. I told him it was good that he called, because I have not had an email in over 2 weeks, and I told him he was probably right, that my computer was corrupted. Left him on hold twice for 5 minutes each time to "reboot" (actually went to the fridge for something cold). Then I told him I have been doing IT for the past 30 years. I can't believe he hung up on me!

A Jamaican man called me from this number today.  Tried telling me he was calling in regards to an error message that my Windows computer sent.  Seeing as I have a MAC I knew this was BS so I told the guy I couldn't talk now and that he should call back after 6.  Can't wait to put him on the phone with my boyfriend who will be home from work then!! heheheheh

this number has called my boyfriends cell 5 times asking to speak with me about a credit card only thing is i dont own a credit card. today when i answered they said they were calling from qubec

Got a call from this number on my cell today. I didn't recognize it, so didn't answer. I decided to google the number, and glad I did. Disturbed me how they might be able to take advantage of so many people. I was having issues with my hotmail account a few months back, and can only consider maybe this is how they got the info...did anyone else have issues with hotmail before they went down and changed to live or switched providers?

"Justin Cooper" called looking for a credit card number to service my "Internet Explorer account".  Complete fraud.  He couldn't answer basic questions about this and couldn't even spell his name.  I called the CAFC at 888-495-8501 to report.  Please report thieves like this who prey on elderly people and try to steal their money.

This number needs to go. Today, it called and did not leave a message. It was my first call from them. When I called the number  back, there was silence. No ringing, busy signal, just silence. Had I not gone on this site; my boyfriend and I were going to battle. I thought it was his mistress' new number and she blocked me. This is a dangerous game (905)984-8824

I got a call form a man with a strong accent from Mississauga ONT  He said that my computer was sending him trouble messages. That I should type in  EVENTVWR  
I did and the computer shut down.

Apparently as I have just read, this is a scam. What do I so now????

They have called at least 8 times.
I finally picked up. The woman who I could barely understand was rambling about a promotion from visa and mastercard (fishy) about free gas gift certificates and plane tickets - all you had to do was let them send you a 14 day discount package trial thing. And then it came - its only $1.99 to ship and of course they need your credit card information in order to bill you for the shipping.
I always try to be civil with the telemarketers and that because you know, its their job. But oh my, I could not politely get off the phone with this woman for the life of me. She ended up hanging up once she knew I was a lost cause.
Very sad.

They are still at it.  Got a call this morning...the computer scam call.  I said I wasn't interested and I hung up. Like another individual who posted, I only picked up because it was a 905 #. They are definitely SCUM.

I just got a call from this number and he said that they were getting Windows errors from my computer.  When I told him I wasn't interested, he told me to F*** off.  I'm really pissed.  When you try to call the number it just keeps coming back busy.

Ten calls in just three days. I always look up unfamiar numbers on this site first just to be safe.

Haven't picked up yet, but the calls haven't stopped, so I guess adding the number to my block list is the only option.

I just had the exact same phone call!  They knew my name and mailing address (and obviously phone number).  Said all I had to do was pay the $1 shipping charge for all my 'free' things and they'd send it all.  $100 gas card and plane tickets.  Lady had an accent and I couldn't make out half of what she was saying.  I only answered because it was a 905 number.

I got a call from this number today telling me that they were from Visa and Mastercard and that I was part of their rewards program and was going to get two plane tickets and $100 petrol card in the mail. They had my address and my cell phone number and kept calling me by my first name....Constantly repeating my first name and when I told her I wasn't able to talk about this right now, she just kept talking. They said they were from the Redemption Center... Just a warning! I'm from St. Catharines.

this number called my house, hes trying to hack my computer asking me to log onto my computer and guide me through the phone. hes tryed to trick me multiple times before and i told him to stop calling. i think hes calling through skype or something. if anyone can help fjnd this guy or would know how to please  let us now. he insulted me and made threats against me and my family after i tols him i dont own a computer. the number was 905 984 8842

How the f*** is this number belong to it calls my house non stop and it's pissing me off. This is why we need to stop bi*** about our Lcbo and getting our s*** together to stop all these a** holes coming into Canada and living off our money and f****ng us over the true Canadians we work hard and u take it in taxs and some a***ole comes over and u give them a BMW and a home and sell them our info.
