I live in Wyoming and am getting calls for this from New Jersey!? Lat time someone spoke to me, I said I was on the do not call list and was told that they are a charity and they don't count. I told him bullcrap and don't call again. ti hasn't worked though

I have receiving several calls a day from 908-299-0007, they always for me or my wife by name and they advise that they are with a police & firemen charity , I finally asked them to remove me from their calling list . I too am on the national do not call registry . Why would they be calling pennsylvania for a charity in new jersey?

Hangs up when I answer.  Keep asking for my wife.  If I raise the pitch of my voice so they think I'm a woman, they will speak until they realize I'm a man, then they simply hang up.  Been calling once or twice a night for weeks now.

got a call from this number (908-299-0007), glad that i did not answer it. as soon as my answer machine kicks, they just hung up.

Got a call from this number today when they asked for me I told them the person they were asking for died 2 weeks ago.  That shut them up really quick and they just hung up.

Received a call today from this number despite being on the Do Not Call List.  Told them to stop calling and then filed a complaint.  If they continue to call I will report them to my local police department for running a phone scam.  I'm sick and tired of these a***oles calling even though they aren't supposed to.

Stop this number from calling ! I WILL DROP MY LANDLINE PHONE IF THIS DOES NOT STOP !! I have blocked thsi number but it still comes thru !!!!

Very frustrating...I have been receiving calls from 908-299-0007.  In the process of finding out who it is.  I did learn that this is a land line in Roselle in NJ.  Does anyone else have updates? Thanks in advance.

I was getting calls from this number every night, I finally answered to see who was calling. The man said hello knew my first and last name, told me he was calling in behalf of widows and children of firemen, I ASKED HIM HOW HE GOT MY NAME AND NUMBER?  HE SAID IT POPPED UP ON THE COMPUTER.I told him I am on a fixed income, to that he said OH ALRIGHT and hung up.

I keep getting anoying phone calls from 1-908-299-0007 can someone please tell who ever it is to stop.

I have received several phone calls from this phone numbers several times a day during the week. When I  answer the phone they just hang up. The one time that I answered the phone they asked for me by my name and when I asked who was calling.  I tried to dial back the number but I just got a message saying that number did not exist. I am in the "do not call" list but that did not seem to help.  I am getting sooo annoyed with this type of calls...Does anybody know what to do to stop these calls?

Thank you, everyone, for the information.  Recently, I, too, have been getting at least daily calls, with "unavailable" listed after their phone number.  Why they would call me in Pennsylvania for their northern NJ "charity" is strange in addition to being exceedingly annoying.  Where do they get our numbers?

They were asking for a Peace Officers donation of some sort, but immediately hung up on me when I said we were going one direction with donation money this year.  Very rude.

I am receiving three calls a day with no voicemail.  I just don't pick up unknown numbers.  My husband did answer the phone with his well-known 'Daffy Duck' voice and the guy asked for me by name.  My husband backed off of the comedy thinking this was a real business call for me, but the guy hung up when he was asked "who's calling please?"

When I see it on the caller i.d. I do not answer it.
Can anyhthing be done about all of these annoying phone calls?
Some numbers register Unavailable with 3 U's (UUU) on the caller i.d.

I am on the national "Do Not Call List" but these a**holes found a way of getting around it.

Verizon, T-Mobil, AT&T and all of the other communication carriers, should be able to develop
a system that rejects these type of calls and unusual display of these numbers on the caller i.d.
