harassment at home and workplace

Got a call from 908-344-5603 (Elizabeth, NJ) from a man with Indian accent iding himself as Peter Jackson asking for a Zoraida Quiles. When I insisted that he had the wrong number, he became more forceful, threatening that he has police authorization and I must answer his question  by law. I was able to find out from him the alleged address he has for this person and told him I'm in a different town. He asked for my  name and I stupidly gave him my first name. When I heard another man with an Indian accent making a call in the background, also identifying himself as calling from a police organization. When I told my caller that I heard this other person, he immediately disconnected.

This same person keeps calling me at work from different phone numbers.  In the beginning he was calling from number in Southern California, also from number in Orlando, Florida, and now this 908 number.  Sometimes he identifies himself as "Kevin" and says he works for The Law Offices, and made several hysterical threats about a "debt to SCSC for $3,000."   I owe nobody $3,000 except my the company that financed my car.  I don't know what else to do.  I have reported him to the ITC.  We really do need this Consumer Protection agency.  I think that anyone can buy phone lists now and use them to extort money from anyone they can intimidate enough.   I am going to have to get a lawyer because I'm afraid I'll lose my job over his calls to my work number.

I've been getting these calls for months. They threathened me also with federal action. The person claims to be an officer....of what I don't know. The accent is hard to understand at times. I told them if they send me something in writing, I would be happy to respond and pay a debt if I owed it. They claim it has to be taken care of within 24 hours or legal action will be taken....like I said it has been going on for months....and I have nothing in writing!

I have been receiving phone calls from that same number. Similar descent as well.  They started about a year ago and I reported it to the police department and then they seemed to stop.  Last week they started up and they are now calling me at work.  The man will not tell me what the call is regarding and it is really starting to piss me off!  If you have any more information on this number or what business it is I would greatly appreciate it!

I have had more then my share of nasty voice messages from this place. They say they are a international inspector and that I need to call them right away or they will be forced into legal action. I have also requested something in writing and never received it. I have never been out of the USA so anything international is unrelated to me. They never say it is a old debt I owe or anything and they have been calling for MONTHS yet still no legal action. This is a scam I believe and someone needs to regulate these out of the country calls. These people are RUDE and try to intimidate you into calling back.

i have received multiple calls from these people over the past five or six months. i finally got fed up with it and called them back.  the first man i called got very mouthy with me and said he was from the united legal investigation bureau. when i asked to speak to some one who could speak better english they hung up on me. i instantly got a call back from the same number the guy asked why i was calling his number when i got angry on the phone he said to stop calling his number or he was going to sue me for harassment.

I received a call from this number as well and it is the same man with an Indian accent claiming to be Peter Jackson from the international investigation bureau. I called him back telling him that I had researched his number and before I spoke with anyone from his company I needed to look into the "bureau" further. So far I cannot find any information about who they "actually" are or what they do but until I receive an official document of some sort, I refuse to even speak with them. After informing him of this I hung up and he called me back with a lot of my personal information and threatened me very harshly. This is really scaring me because he was able to identify a past address, my social security number, and a lot more of my info! How do we go about reporting this to the proper authorities? Regardless of who they claim to be they cannot harass people especially if they won't even tell you who they are!

I got one as well. When I strongly said "I owe you nothing and now I am going to get my whistle", they hung up

People please file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  ftc.gov or call 1-877-382-4357.  This is where the FBI directed me.  If you don't they will just continue.

Not a business, and they call and claime to work for the united states fereal criminal and prevention bureau and there is no such buisness in "comsrizer, new jersey"
