Got the same call today from these morons.  Unfortunately for them,  I AM a real federal law enforcement officer, and if they think they scared me,  they need to think again.   I explained the IRS doesn't use intimidation  and threats of bodily harm to collect past due debts.  He started some hurling some vulgarities(all the while being taped),  after all,  he did call a federal law enforcement agency, and we state we track AND record all incoming phone calls.

So a quick call to some friends in NY/NJ.. Hopefully, these calls will stop for everyone (assuming they are in the US).

Just got the same call - said I owed $900 and they were sending cops to my door

Person called and said he was representing the IRS and told me I owed $900. and if I didn't pay he would send cops to my door - he knew where I lived.  I told him he was a fraud and a scammer.  

I just got the same call!  Told me I needed to pay him $900.  I told him I would contact the IRS (knowing he was a scam) and he said he knew where I lived and would send cops to my door.  I told him to go ahead and do it!!  And that he was a fraud and a scammer.

So, Tiffany - where are you located?  India, by any chance?  If you didn't know it already, folks around here are very good at spotting shills for scams.  Looks like you're busted!

This person called me saying they were the IRS and I was involved in a fraud case.  Total scam.

pls beware, don't take your guard down, this phone number is a scam claiming they are the IRS Tax Fraud Investigation. The name of the people that called me from this number is Anthony Scott  and Dan Morgan. They have an Indian accent and they want you to purchase a government bond for back taxes,  they will give you a number claiming it is the IRS employee number. they pressure you so you get flustered and give them money, they also claim to email the judge in your county and dispatch a police officer to come arrest you in the next 30 minutes if you don't settle with them over the phone.They have another person impersonating a police officer from your local county saying they will be at your doorstep to arrest you and that you will have to bail out of jail and if matters are not settled out of court then you will be in jail for 9 months plus the penalty and interest and what you may have owed back from the IRS. Please be forewarned as honest citizens of this country we worked so hard for what we have pls don't be scammed by this crooks. They almost got what they wanted from me $786.00 but when this so called Dan Morgan screamed at me over the phone when he heard my kids talking to me in the background, he also threatened them, telling me that I have to focus on what he is saying and no one else because now he is the only one that can help me out of my so called IRS dilemma. I have  reported this to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and if this can help one honest citizen then I have done a good service to someone. The IRS send you letter and if you have questions regarding taxes go to the website and view your transcript. I called the IRS myself. The IRS does not conduct business this way. This people instilled fear in you at the moment of the call so you give in to what they want, and that is for you to give them your honestly earned money and by doing so, you can't put food on the table for your kids.

They called pretending to be the IRS. very rude and screams at you.

If you pick up the call from this number, you will surely get something, yes.  It's called SCAMMED.  Yes, *surealy* you will.

This is a real fedreal Department..i got my grant money of $9500..i don't know why peoples are saying bad reviews about this department...i think some one other scammers are using this number..so if you will get call from this number please pick up & surealy you will be get your grant money.....Thank you so much.........

I should have read this message before talking to them. I applied via Federal credit union at my job threw internet, I'm thinking there affiliated with my job, they gave me instructions to get $150 greendot account which can be purchase threw defferent merchants like 7-11 or cvs etc. I did... and so they got me, I gave them all my account information which I never keep nothing over $100 in that account for the loan trasfer, they noticed that they could not get more money from me and so right when they told me I can not go back on my loan they were going to report me to fbi I told my self damm ittt, i knew they got me for my money $150.... please do not call or even apply to this a***oles... the number 908 372-4254 elizabeth, nj,,,, erik...there from India,,, and they are fraud a***oles...

TOTAL SCAM. PAY DAY LOAN OF AMERICA, TOLD THEM I WAS NOT INTERESTED AFTER INVESTIGATING THEM WITH MY BANK MANAGER. NEVER BORROWED A DIME. THEY WANTED ME TO SEND $100 WESTERN UNION TO ACTIVATE LOAN ACCOUNT... AND THEY WANTED MORE BANK INFO BUT I DID NOT GIVE IT TO THEM.. NOW TWO MONTHS BEING THREATENED AND THEM CALLING ME TELLING ME THEY WILL TAKE THE $5000 I BORROWED FROM MY BANK ACCOUNTS. I HAVE TO NOW CLOSE ALL MY ACCOUNTS AND OPEN NEW ONES.... IF FAMILY AND FRIENDS CANT HELP YOU DONT, I REPEAT DONT CALL ANY PAYDAY LOANS, EVEN TO ASK A QUESTION... DONT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS EITHER OVER PHONE.... THEY TRAP YOU UP AND RECORD PART OF THE CONVERSATION, HAVING YOU ANSWER YES, ETC. TO WHATEVER.... OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD HAVE BETTER INTERNET SECURITY... WHATS HAPPENING IN THIS WORLD TODAY?
