we never changed our provider...and have now desire to. told them please stop, do not call again. take us off your list. thanks,do like the idea of FTC. will do the same!

call asking for someone who hasn't lived here for 4+yrs - said on the do not call list, don't call again and turned the number  to the federal trade commission. their working on it ... the more we do that. the quicker it stops.

Jibber-jabber about PPL.  I asked if this was a company wanting us to ditch PPL electric and woman said "no".  I slammed down phone and she was still yacking.

What do people get out of calling and not answering?  This time with this number, all I got was a hissing sound and a hang up.  If they'r  after money or information, how come they don't speakl?  If they are tyring to find out if I'm home, then at least they cannot rob me because I AM home!!!!

Received a p/c 3/6/14 at 3:28 p.m.  No message.  Have received numerous calls from this number.

These people have to stop calling me.  I work nights and have explained this to them and they still keep calling many time.  I am on the do not call list.  PLEASE how can I get these people to stop.  I have not turned off the ringer because of family members being able to get a hold of me if they need to.  I just need to get them off my back.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to explain this. I hate these people. You are right, they are incredibly rude and why they think that would get someone to switch is baffling.

I read an article in the paper (in February) that basically says anyone in Pennsylvania who has switched electric providers will get these calls from other companies until, and if when ever the Electric providers are deregulated. Doesn't matter who your provider is they have to give out your number. There may be a way in writing to stop it, but if you didn't do it right away you are stuck getting these calls. The whole idea was to let other power companies try an divide the monopoly of one or two big companies. But it back fired because of two things. One) most folks didn't want to switch and Two) Those companies trying to sway you just are not polite. There is a difference between dead air calls or telemarketers telling you that you are a twit if you don't switch to them or asking you politely how they can better your electric rate. It seems most of the hired hands would rather be rude. I don't see them having great success with that tactic. And I don't know other than reporting the number how to stop them. Since they don't clearly identify themselves. Coming up in Caller ID like this latest number will not get me to answer the phone.
