I am confirming this info.(That it was PSE&G in NewJersey ) On 5/22/2010 I got 3 calls from this number,(I found this out by using *69 to find the number of caller) There was "no audio" during these 3 calls. I found out what the call was about by calling them. They wanted to schedual a meter servicing ( as required periodically by law ) I told them that their "Outgoing Audio Equipment" was out of order, causing many wasted ineffective automated calls, producing no messages. They were appreciative..

I used *69 to find this number. Had a number of calls with no audio in short 30 minute time period. I called the number confirming PSE&G in NJ USA.
I told them their outgoing messaging equipment was not working correctly... They appreciated and said they'd attend to it. So a good day for me!!!

Received call, automated message saying it's PSE&G thanking me for sending them a payment of $48, leaving a balance of $158.58. The caller ID says PSE&G. Unfortunately, we are not in PSE&G's area of operations and not a customer, so I would be suspicious (caller ID can be spoofed).

Yeah, I don't think so. It comes up as MMG SVCS INC in Craqnford NJ. Not quite a useful utility service.

Public Service Electric and Gas (PSEG) USES this number to send you an automated message that is confirming your appointment. If you recently called them to schedule a Worry Free repair on an appliance, thermostat, furnace or A/C system, PSEG will use that number with no name to contact you and confirm the hours of the appointment. No problem in answering the call.
It is not a live person calling, it is an auto dialer.
