The same thing happened to my boyfriend they threatened to sue him and take him to jail....they had an attitude the whole time. The couln't tell him when the money was deposited or who he was being sued by they said it was classified. He ended up paying 300 dollars and now they want another 165 dollars by to day or else he will owe another 400 dollars...They keep blowing up the phone calling from random numbers. Hung up on me. I asked is this some kind of scam. I mean usually if you are being sued u would get info. Then the next day a whole nother company called and claimed he bounced a check and he was charged with theft and something else. He don't even have a check book.....Now they want 615 dollars....Both of these have to be scams. Both of them threatened to arrest him....and claimed they would need to know who would be able to bail him out.I don't know what is going on but something aint right.

- Heavy Indian accent
- said he would see me in court,
- diddn't have case #
- hard to understand
- I diddn't relay any information back other than confirming my name
- when I asked for clarification of what he was saying he tried to be forcefull in saying that he needed to relay the affidavit.
- use fairly poor english and legal terminoligy was a little off at times.
He hung up when I pushed for clarification and said we'll see you in court.
- I recently applied for and gotten a small pay-day loan and have been getting the vomit of spam also

I just received the same call but from 805-262-6170 saying the same thing that there were 3 lawsuits against me etc.  SCAM....THEY ARE RUDE

These people have been calling me since the other day. I searched for their numer online and came up with a lot of complainst against them. I stumbled upon an FBI Extortion Scam regarding these people and I filed a complaint against their number at www.ic3.gov. I would suggest you guys do the same. We need to put a stop to these people or they will keep harassing us and would victimize others. Hope this helps.

Tell him that a formal complaint has been written to the California congress office (that?s where they are located). Let him know that he should be hearing from them any day now. The calls should stop. You need to write your congress and help us put an end to these idiots. Thanks?

I got the same call. Indian accents scammers. They asked me if I had a lawyer. We all have to call or write our congressman. I'm taking it the the government level. Think of how many people are getting scammed by these idiots. They need to be stopped.

Just got a call regarding a relative at my business number,which I have know idea how this information was received claiming he was from the Department of Justice regarding a legal matter. His name or the one that was given is JAKE WATSON(foreign speaking)  The number left is the above  not the Dept. of Justice  Isn't this against the law???

Yes, there is something to be gained if you feed into and give them more information. It seems like they are trying to scare people into paying off the "alleged" debt in advance. Most of us didn't let them go that far, but I can only imagine if they get a hold of someone who may not know better or get caught up in their shenanigans like an unsuspecting elderly person. If someone would give them their card number to pay off the debt to prevent going to court or being arrested they could make off with the money before it is ever traced. The best thing to do is not give any information to anyone and only conduct business with people you know and trust.

I just received a call like this too! They had my cell and work number! I could not understand a thing this person was saying. It was female who stated she was calling from First Attorneys in California and she wanted the name of my attorney. She had all of my information and said that I was being sued and that charges were being pressed against me in California! I have never even lived in California! She asked me did I want the name of her attorney so he could tell me what charges were being pressed against me. I told her yes and she gave THE SAME NUMBER she was calling from and the name of a guy Kevin Peterson. I went into our office conference room and called the number back. The first few times it rang busy and then it finally went to a voice mail that said the person at the extension was not available and stated you must leave a message. When I returned to my desk, she had called again but did not leave a message. I looked up First Attorneys on the website and it is a placement organization for attorneys - kinda like a referral or advice site. It appears that when you surf the internet site and sign up for things illegitimate companies have registered to be able to get your information through the companion sites. Although this is not legitimate as far as the court issue (a company that is suing you is not going to have a foreign person call you up and tell you that you are being sued, it would be handled by their attorney who is not permitted by law to contact you in such a manner) it is concerning that they are able to obtain all of your personal information. I would strongly advise everyone who receives a call like this to report it to their congressman or woman and/or their state Attorney General's office so they can launch a full investigation. If they receive enough calls and written complaints they will be forced to address it. In the meantime, I would strongly suggest that you go back to the old fashion way of doing business and that is face to face within your local communities. With the internet being worldwide with limited protections, it is easy for scam artist of this nature to obtain our information and use it against us.

I was called today with the same claims of 3 lawsuits and them arresting me at work....I responded saying i made every payment and that they are incorrect on their information...he said to me take that to the courthouse and prove it, I said what courthouse you are not even in America...He then said "why did you even listen to this phone call then" I said to prove that you are being false...He said "listen carefully....F off" and hung up on me.   Why will the government not stop these people? An Indian broad called me about 5 times in a row. When I finally answered she said there were 3 lawsuits against me and she needed my information. I asked her what they were pertaining to, she said she was a paralegal(obviously a lie) and that I could call a different number for exact details.  I told her if she couldn't give me any information that she wasn't getting mine. I said have a nice day and to not call me again, she was still talking as I hung up.

He has been harrassing me and telling me jail time and the police will go to my job to pick me up. He has a foreign accent and is very rude. He continues to call me and threaten me. Had me freaking out for a couple of days. Makes me sick to me stomache.

I recieved the same call told him to put me on the do not call list and hu, he then again and called me right back asked to speak to his supervisor told me he didnt have one, informed this forgein man could not understand anything he was saying since I told  him to not call me and to put me on the dnc list and he called back I should be sueing him, didnt have a cash advance. I have received a phone call from this number, same thing, I could not understand this guy at all.His name was Samuel Jonhnson, strange name for a guy that can't speak english, don't you think. He said they are taking me to court for some money, I didn't have any idea what he was talking about, so I screamed at him and he hung up on me. When I trayed to call back he kept hanging up on me.

I received several phone calls today from a female with a heavy accent and identified herself as Michelle Lewis and told me that I had 3 lawsuits against me. I advised her I was in the grocery store and was not prepared to copy any numbers down and hung up. I called the number back and some man with a heavy accent and told me I have 3 lawsuits against me and that if how was I going to handle this and if I didn't handle it I would possibly lose my job or not be able to get one for 6months and or go to jail. When I asked this man named Kevin if I could come up with some of the money how was I to get it to him and he advised me to go to a local Wal-Mart and get a pre-paid visa card and put the money on it and call him back. I hung and refuse to call him back.

A foriegn speaker left a message that "I or my attorney of record needed to call him back or all he could say is good luck to me as the situation starts to unfold." He also mentioned the last name of Williamson...called himself Brother Williamson as being his own. This is so crazy....I am glad I took the time to look up the number before returning his call.

They're fakes. I checked my own bank account info and said delivery of funds never happened. So I called them every ten minutes to ask for their lawyer. Pretty soon I was being cussed iut in urdu or hindi or something. "Stop calling me you MF..." I believe was the phrase. They are I think in Anaheim Cal, if anyone wants to pop one of them in the face.......

I got a call from my boss saying that someone by the name of David Anderson had called about a legal matter. When I called this number back, it was a man with an accent saying his name was Kevin Peterson from the Law Offices of John Morrison and that they had filed a lawsuit for a payday loan that had been deposited. I stopped him mid sentence telling him there was nothing deposited and he hung up on me. I called back a few minutes later and told him who I was and that he's hung up on me before and he hung up on me again.

Just got a message on my cell phone from them threatening me with a terrible out come if I didn't call them back so I called them, a man answered with a foreign accent he ask my name and said there was a law suit against my name and when I asked for more info he hung up. I just got a call from them saying that I have 3 lawsuits against me and they needed my information.  I did not give them any information...who are these people?
