Because those lists don't stop criminals from calling you. Go ahead and call AT&T, they're making money from junk calls just like all the other carriers are. So good luck with that.
Would someone explain how I am getting calls from 909-478-7115 when I am on both national and state do-not-call lists?
Is my only recourse to block unwanted callers, or should I speak to AT&T? And yes, I own a cell. Thanks so much.
NO MESSAGE CALLED CELL PHONE NO ANSWER WHEN CALL BACK
I just received this call now. Got a pre-recorded message from a "Heather" saying nothing was wrong with my credit card but I needed to act now in order to lower my finance rate. Obviously, this was a scam so I blocked the number (as being on the DNC list doesn't do squat and you have to take matters into your own hands when dealing with these telemarketing scumbags). Interestingly, my caller ID registered the caller as CREDIT CARD SCA -- not enough spaces to finish the SCA part. Too bad that word was truncated -- I bet there was an "m" after it ;p
Got this call on my cell phone. Did not recognize the area code or number so did not answer. Googled and see here it is a scam contact.
I dont want any of these call . Quit calling me.
This number has been calling me... I am certain it is because I closed a high interest credit card acct with a national bank. Caller ID said: Credit Card SCA with the number and no one ever leaves a message. Idiots.
DON'T ANSWER, SCAM
Called saying I was elijable for a lower credit card rate.
Heather the automated voice from Card Services would like to lower my rate.... Lovely... SPAM calls on my cell
Didnt answer but seems like they just called many of us at once.
The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card number to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!
I just received a call from this number which I didn't answer. The caller I'D said "Unavailable." No message was left. I am on both national and state Do Not Call lists. After reading other posts on this site I have blocked all future calls from this number. THANK YOU, 800Notes!
Called to tell me I was eligible for lower credit card rates. They called my cell phone number! How did they get that number? I have a pretty good idea. I have been filling out Better Homes and Garden sweepstakes that ask for the phone number. I read the sweepstakes rules and didn't see anything that stated they would share my info with scammers...
Weird that when I didn't respond, they hung up right in the middle of their recorded message. I called it back just to see if anyone would answer. No one did. Hope I didn't cause myself even more annoyance by dialing the number back!
Heather the credit card robot is at it again. Standard robocall message that my card is OK but they can reduce the interest rate.
This call came in from California. I suspect the are phishing for credit card numbers. They claim that if you will punch 1, they can lower your interest rate to 6t.5% on your credit cards. Calling cell phone numbers with unwanted telemarketing is illegal. I would urge anyone receiving these calls to report them to the FTC and get your phone listed on the Do Not Call List immediately.
Earlier today I received a call from this number telling me that I have a problem with my credit card. I hung up.
I got a call from the same number today. Unsure how they got my num as I am in the "Do NOT Call" database. Ideas on how they got a number which is ONLY known to ATT?
got a call from this twice this morning. Answered the first time, but not the second. Sounded like a recording about my credit card (joke's on them, I don't have a credit card). Just an annoyance really
Didn't answer this call, and no one left a message. Checked this site to see that it is probably credit card fraud.
I am on do not call list, yet got call from this number, in which a recording stated I was eligible for reduction on my credit cards. Sneaky because they say they are calling about your credit card. I have received many calls from them before.
Called to tell me I was eligible for lower credit card rates. They called my cell phone number!!! I was livid!!! How did they get that number???? They're not supposed to call cell phone numbers!!!!
Got a call on my cell but I didn't answer it till I checked with Google.
Thanks, i got a call from this number yesterday called ID said it was from California, so I didn't answer it. Thanks again
Reduction of interest on credit card rates.
They hung up when I challenged why they were calling.
Got a call stating I was eligible for reduction on my credit cards.
