Just got the same formal language and military story scam from this number.  Pretending he wants my 2006 Mazda 3 we have on Craigslist.  He's claiming his name is Paul Dickson and also emailed me from sparkletjk@gmail.com

Well he is at it again, same story as previous post offered to buy my trailer sight unseen. He requested I set up a Paypal account. Received confirmation that a payment was pending to be released into my Paypal account pending me going to western union and and wire $ 1300.00 to a woman that would pickup the trailer and deliver it to him.
So the scam is in the upfront transportation fee, which you will never see again.

Yes, just got the same scamming text messages.  I posted add on CycleTrader and got a call the same night wanting the bike sight unseen and full asking price.  Already too good to be true.  The person texted me from 781-725-2199 saying he was in the Military and can text but no access to call.  The person asked for my 'Good' name (another flag went up) and PayPal email address.  In attempting to verify the transaction, I asked for the person to give me his shippers info so I could verify everything and the price of shipping he had already arranged (we hadn't even made a deal yet).  The person gave the number of 909-494-2495 as the person who would transport the bike to Texas.

On checking both numbers through Google, the 781 # comes back as used frequently by scammers in India and the 909 # had a lot of hits reference to scammers with a similar story as the one I was told.

Spread the word and be careful in the internet world.

Listed an RV for sale in RV Trader. Same deal... out of town, use paypal as secure payment (obviously not THAT secure), sight-unseen, full asking price, We're supposed to give full name and paypal account info and "his shipper" will come pick it up.  Sounded fishy, so we checked here, and found a similar pattern.  Somewhere supposedly around San Bernardino area.
Don't know why people like this can't be caught, staked out with barbed wire, and slowly eaten to death by ants.

Just got a long text from this guy, stating he is in the military and, as others have said, that we should "consider it sold" and send him our full name and PayPal email address. Very fishy--formal language, weird offer to pay asking price (just listed a motorcyle today). Don't fall for it!
