i picked up and it said that 'this is the second time we're notifying you that the warranty on your vehicle may have expired'  it was some automated message.  too bad I dont have a vehicle.  probably just spam.

I am mentally unstable and dangerous. If I recieve another call from this number, I will track the responsile person down, cut out thier liver and eat it!

Same thing as everyone else, but not only have I gotten the call from the 909 number, I have received the same call from other area codes as well. I pressed the number to keep them from calling me, as I thought it was a telemarketer, but then I keep getting calls from different area codes.

got this call, hung up before the recording was through. I'm really tired of this scam.

It's not just in Ontario, I'm in Texas and have received 3 or 4 from them on my blackberry.

its a telemarketer they have a auto dailer so unless your cell is on the no call list they will be able to call you

Automated call claims this is the second second attempt to reach me about a car warranty about to expire. I have had this call numerous times on my cell phone and home phone. Each time it comes from a different number and area code. None of my phone numbers are listed on the do not call list or ever have been.

I've received numerous calls, I'm guessing the car repair company I went to to get a belt changed sold it. I've asked multiple times to be taken off the list to no avail.

I missed a call from these guys Feb 2/09 a 4:41pm on my telus cell. I also just bought a new car, Im thinking its the financing people that are giving away our information.

Keeps calling my cell phone and said about some sorts of warranty.

Several calls received from (909) 650-9175.  These people are offering an extended warranty on your vehicle.  Just tell them you don't own a  vehicle or that you had yours seized because of financial problems or even better, you have numerous Impaired Driving charges / DWI's so you can't own a car.  They will stop phoning you.

This has to be stopped. I live in Alberta and they are calling my cell phone. Cell phone provider is Telus.

I noticed I had received the call some time in the morning and did not answer it due to the area code. I then put the number into Google here and I found this thread.

just recieved 3 calls back to back , with'n about a ten minutes. Did not answer them. If I don't know the number or it is not a local number from the surrounding cities i don not answer it. I am with Rogers and live in the Edmonton area.

Just got a call on my cell as well, an Alberta cell. I was just car shopping at a Toyota and Honda dealership... I wonder if they gave out my number already? I didn't answer the call but from the comments above it sounds like it has to do with car warranties. Strange.

got this same call spam today on Rogers in Edmonton AB , this past month I have gotten at least 5 spam calls and this is odd because I have never got them in the past

Ever since I bought my new vehicle I have been getting calls from two other numbers. So its either chrysler or the people my financing is set up through that has made public access of my cell number.

Or it could be the f*****g losers who i chose not buy from! Seeing as they thought it was ok to keep our deposit to hold a sale overnight, not withstanding a purchase of any kind, no subject to's, no commitment from us at all. they were pissy casue we went down the road to a group of professionals. who put us in a 2009 for the same price they were going to give us an 2007...agian... losers.

I really wouldnt put it past them to have sold or have given my cell number to someone for a few extra few bucks, to as they put it 'feed the families'

They got it off of the Canadian No Call list , they are out of the States where it is legal for them to call us.

Received several calls from them and never answered, but the calls persisted.  Unbelievable because I never give out my cell number so I don't understand how a "company"(scam) based in California could have my number and be harassing me.

I keep getting a call from this number. This is the 2nd day in a row I'm in ottawa, On Canada. this is a california area code. weird eh?

Got a call on my cell from that # at 4:57 pm Jan 22. Told me this was thier 2nd and last call to inform me that my vehical warranty was about to expire,(haven't owned a car for three years' let alone one with a warranty).Pressed 1 and an agent came on, told him he had the wrong #, he informed me after repeating my cell# that it would be taken off the list and hung up. Just called bell mobility to find out why these people had my cell#, was informed that it is a computer call that follows a numerical sequence, and that there are no long distance charges applied to my phone for taking the call because I was within my calling range. Because I answered that call it is entirely posible that my cell# will be given out to others that I do not know, for all of those who answered that call start screening your cell calls because your # is now in circulation to anyone.
