Keep getting calls from a "Morgan" 909-685-4145, pretty much asking for the exact info as the above 2 postings. He doesn't sounds english... I would agree with the Phillipino accent as stated by others. Very persistant. SCAM

I also received a phonecall from "Morgan".  My Morgan happened to be Asian (Phillipino I think) and gave me the number 909-685-4145.  He was asking for a fax of my statement from Chase so they can compute my savings. Definitely suspicious.  Scam.

Same thing - got a call from "Morgan" from 909-685-4145 who had the name of the business, but could not provide any further details. I asked him for a website or a number to call him back and he hung up.

Scammer for sure.

Just got a call from 909-685-4145 claiming they were from Canadian Merchant Assoc. telling me that they could lower our merchant rates. When I had questions on this he kept telling me to stop talking and please listen! He was pretty persistent about getting my merchant statement also. I googled his number and found this site.
Thanks for affirming my suspicions that he was a fraud.

Chase Paymentech said they are competitors who make phone calls to random businesses in order to compare rates.  They are not representative of Chase as they claim to be.  You can contact Chase at 1800 265-5158 to confirm this.  

If you were told they also represented CFIB (as I was) They aren't.  CFIB has posted a scam warning in regards to people claiming to be representatives of them and asking for statements in order to make comparisons in regards to dropped rates.  You can find this statement here...  http://cfib.ca/research/businfo/pdf/PhoneScam.pdf  

I tried to call the number provided by this person and was sent to voice mail with no option to talk to anyone else.  So like you, was unable to complain to a manager.

All google searches do not show contact information for "Canadian Merchant Association" specifically.  The closest thing in name is more of a network marketing company or telemarketing company.

We have informed this lady to take our number off her list and she persists in calling.  Next step will be to notify the police.  Apparently that is all we can do.  We have just hit harassment status.

Caller identifies self as working for Canadian Merchants Association and asks about a survey for businesses that uses credit card terminals and asks if it has been upgraded. Mention is made of a 20% savings,etc. Asked for phone number to give message to manager. Then asked if they had a toll-free number to call.When long distance most companies have a toll-free number. Would not provide one. Not sure if legitimate or scam.
