A few moments ago I received a text message from Credit Union West saying I needed to call because of 'unusual activity'. on my account. Yesterday I got a text from Credit  Union West but from a different number.  How annoying.

Received text message -

subject: note@cuwesttext.org  

text: Credit Union West urgent security activity notification:unusual activity.  Toll-free call 800-657-6034

Googling this shows it is a phishing scam

I get the following message:  CREDIT UNION WEST urgent security: unususl activity. call 9096935107. I attempted to text back but it gets returned undeliverable. How do they get my unlisted cell number?

The phone number is a cell phone in California. The Credit Union West website at http://www.creditunionwest.org has a notice on their front page indicating this is a phishing scam looking for account numbers and personal information. DO NOT CALL BACK OR GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

How do they even get our numbers?!  Anyways, annoying and surely scam filled.

I received a text messages today from 1-909-693-5107 "notify@cuwestonline.org// CREDIT UNION WEST urgent account verify notification:  unusual activity, call at 9096935107"---Called the number two(2)times and both times a message said that the mail box was full.This is the fourth (4th)text message I have received in the last two days with the same message but different phone numbers.

i got a text message from c.care@cuwestsecurity.org which read:
CREDIT UNION WEST urgent security: unususl activity. call 9096935107

i received a similar text two days ago with a similar message from a similar address asking that i call 8776348199
