No proper message or information.  Being harassed with these calls.

Got this call about 6 months ago. I kept asking him what ARS meant. WhT does is stand for? Where are you calling from? He just kept saying ARS and asking me questions (I do not have any debts). I said "I'm not giving you any information unless you tell me who you are." He said, "well you wouldn't be giving meany info because I  already have it".  Then HE hung up!! They haven't called back since. Definitely looking for information! Scammers.

They keep calling my cell phone also, never leaves message. Told them to take me off the list . I am in Orlando also the number that has been calling me is 909-912-7400. Glad I read this blog to see the other numbers also to know its the same company .

Got a call from 909-912-7400 not 1 minute later a call from 805-637-7243...both ARS...will fix my number blocker to hang up on them :)

I get a number of calls like this during the day.  they never leave a message.   This is the first I have seen the  909-912-7400 number.  Most show up in the caller ID as one of the toll free 800 number prefixes.  I have figured out that the calls appear to be generated by some debt that my ex-wife has.  She has been out of my life for 7 years.  She changed back to her maiden name so these people can't find her but they find me with her married name attached to my number.  So far only the wired land line has been called.  I use the call blocking device suggested above but the caller ID numbers keep changing,  So unless I start blocking area codes like I do for the 8xx series I will keep getting calls.  I don't answer any out of town area codes anymore.  So far they have all been crap like this.  

I keep getting calls from this number asking for a particular individual.  I have had my cell number for over 10 years  I keep asking to take my number off,  They say they will, but I keep getting these calls.   Never heard of the guy they are looking for

I get calls from this # once every 2 weeks or so. I agree, ignore the calls. However, keep an eye on any letters you might get in the mail, particularly if they change from a debt collection agency to an attorney's office. They can and will sue you, but a lien on your house, etc. depending on the state you live in. Once that happens it is very hard to stop the action. Learned that the hard way.

I also did some checking on other websites complaining about this ARS (or any of their fictitious names) supposedly represent Chase Bank. If you have not had an account with Chase Bank, then this caller is definitely fraudulent. They have to identify the original creditor owed; and if it is not correct, they are trying to scam you even with a very old account. Accounts that are at least 10 years old have to be removed from your record. DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. If you are able to knock your phone number out of their computer system by getting a recorded call and continuously hitting the # sign several times, that would be great. But if you continue to get someone live on the telephone, I think the only real way to get them to stop calling you is by getting a call blocker connected to your phone. I have read where some individuals continue to get phone calls from companies like these for years. So, a call blocker should stop them from bothering you.

BTW, how do these people get your unlisted phone number? I live with my mother, and they got her unlisted phone number asking for me! When I am at home, my mother hands me the phone saying someone is asking for me and would not say who is calling. All I see on the Caller ID is ARS and the phone number. When a person is asking for me (and I do not identify the voice), I disguise my voice being leery who is asking for me and say the person is not here. I was talking to a lady wanting to know when "Gwen" would be coming home. I said I did not know and hung up. This ARS phone number 909-912-7400 has called on 9/24 at 9:18 am, 9/21 at 10:53 am, 9/5, at 9:46 am, 8/30 at 5:07 pm, and older messages now erased from the Caller ID. If it is for a debt, it would have to be for a debt around 10 years old, which should be removed from the person's record. I have received credit cards such as Sam's Club, which did not reflect a bad credit when they said I qualified for a credit card when I only wanted to open a membership card to come to their store. They said I was approved automatically for $1,500.00 credit if I wanted it, which I later accepted. Usually, if a person has very bad credit, it is hard to get a credit card anything to do with WalMart. So, I don't see why I am getting these phone calls from ARS. If I did not try to look up that phone number on the internet, I would not know much about that company. But, like everyone else, I wish those phone calls would stop. I refuse to talk to them. I just found out that by looking up the phone number, their carrier is Time-Warner Telecom of Calif., LP., and this ARS phone number is based in Upland, Calif. in San Bernardino County. I received a call last evening (Tues after Labor Day) asking for someone with a specific Korean-sounding name different from the one that I have been getting circa monthly calls about that always say they just got the account this month and won't call again. This guy specifically said he was not a debt collector, and that this was a "business lead," then read back the dialed number, which I confirmed has been mine for 5-7 years, as well as on the do-not-call list and a cellphone, calling which unsolicited has been illegal since 2010. Though he refused to identify his company, he apologized and promised not to call again (I'm not holding my breath).

Then as I entered my driveway, I got a call from 877-272-8166 telling me to call an 847 number about medical debt collections, essentially the same robomessage as from 866-317-5534 that I received at 10pm central (11pm EDT) Friday night, and about which I posted Labor Day also concerning 804-368-3772--but which now strangely does not appear in my phone's call log. Yup, telemarketing after 9pm's illegal.

It's also a little creepy, hacking-wise, since one of the fraudsters involved with the house next door to my dad is a hacker. We've had spoofed 911 calls, my android's strangely refused to take pictures sometimes, etc. Plus, despite the posting of the demolition permit yesterday morning, no workers showed up yesterday at the house next door--and the supposed all day demolition work from last Thursday, Friday and Saturday didn't actually involve anything being taken from the house and the open garage showed new boxes. In the afternoon, cars appeared. It may well have been shown to another potential investor, since when I went to the village hall to pick up a copy of an item to be discussed by the trustees that night, on the counter was a cd of the last ALJ hearing about next door, which the receptionist said was for someone else. The house has never been occupied since the previous structure was sold by Washington Mutual in 2003 then flipped and torn down without a permit in 2004,  and a monstrosity erected which has foundation cracks on all sides, pillars of different sizes, deformed window wells and no sewage or septic for 8 or 9 bathrooms. But the latest real estate/legal spin says it was only caught in the 2008 bubble and the part time village attorney really wants its completion. That particular hearing frankly seemed almost trumped up, and involved an attorney who made an appearance on behalf of an unknown finance company and the supposed owner's wife (but who came from the same law firm suite as a mortgage holder who started foreclosure in 2009), and noted it did not includ the husband's testimony the previous month which seemed to contemplate bankruptcy fraud....

Keep getting these A..holes replying to Craigslist Ads "tools for sale", etc.
They try to get you to give them your real Email address so that they can run their con & probably sell it to "sponsors".

Nasty flood of these "fake interest" emails clogs up Craigslist.

They called and rang my phone, I didn't answer,  but they can't ring my phone anymore.

This device BLOCKS 1500 numbers.   So much better than my Panasonic telephone which only blocked unsatisfactory 30 numbers.

I can "Blacklist" 1000 numbers, which should be adequate.  There are way too many unwanted scam calls.

To install, simply Plug ProCALL Blocker between phone line and telephone.  To use: Confirm the number on 800notes as an unwanted caller.  Push the "SET" button (you will see the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 appear on LCD screen, Pick up receiver on phone, then dial 4, then dial *, then dial unwanted number, then push the forward or backward arrow buttons, LCD screen confirms & says "SAVED".  

DONE   YIPPEE    GOOD RIDDANCE to scumbags at ARS.  They have harassed & annoyed me with at least 200 calls trying to get info about other people, not me.

WILL SPAM CALLS EVER STOP???????  Some people on 800 Notes say that DO NOT CALL does not apply to collections.  However, since they don't have any reason to be calling me about MY credit (which maybe they would have a right to do if my credit was bad), DO THEY HAVE TO RIGHT TO HARASS ME CONTINUOUSLY AND RELENTLESSLY TO ATTEMP TO GAIN INFORMATION ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE? I don't think so!!  See below what I'm experiencing.

My life is a living daily SPAM-CALL-HELL, and I can't get out and I've done nothing to deserve this.  When will this harassment end? Yes I am on DO-NOT-CALL list. Yes, I do not have outstanding debits.  Yes, I pay all my bills earlier than on time.

They help call centers to filter their databases. This company is part of the problem.

This device BLOCKS 1500 numbers.   So much better than my Panasonic telephone which only blocked unsatisfactory 30 numbers.

I can "Blacklist" 1000 numbers, which should be adequate.  There are way too many unwanted scam calls.

To install, simply Plug ProCALL Blocker between phone line and telephone.  To use: Confirm the number on 800notes as an unwanted caller.  Push the "SET" button (you will see the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 appear on LCD screen, Pick up receiver on phone, then dial 4, then dial *, then dial unwanted number, then push the forward or backward arrow buttons, LCD screen confirms & says "SAVED".  

DONE   YIPPEE    GOOD RIDDANCE to ARS.  They have harassed & annoyed me with at least 200 calls trying to get info about other people, not me.

This insane and continuous calling to me, who has no outstanding unpaid debts, is NOT profitable to these companies, and serves no purpose other than to violate the FDCPA.  So why do they never stop calling? Why do they call for days, months, years, without stopping? They should call people that don't pay their bills, credit card and loan payments.

Stop calls

I would like to report this call. Would appreciate if they would stop calling my #!!!

They dall numerous times per week which seems to violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

since this number on the initial caller ID had too many digits, i didn't answer. The robocaller (this number's from my cellphone's log) left a telemarketing voicemail, although this number has long been mine, a cellphone and on the DoNotCall list, all of which make these calls illegal. I wonder if it's generated by banks data-mining -- because I'm helping my dad complain about the unoccupied building next door, built as a partial teardown (expansion from 1000 to 10,000 sq ft) before any permits and unoccupied for nearly a decade since in addition to filling in a wetland and draining onto my dad's small property, it has no septic or a sewage for 8 or 9 toilets plus a sauna and jacuzzi). Well, as many as four banks might've lent money to build it (including Bank of America, infamous for hacking/spying on ordinary Americans using the Hunton&Williams lawfirm with USDOJ reccommendation). They've been parading potential buyers by (advertising city water but not the sewage and wet basement situations), and are upset that I've been telling them of the ongoing fines and demolition order--since that "endangers" their "collateral," though the won't foreclose on the toxic situation their loan officers and lawyers helped create, because then they'd be on the hook for remediation costs.

This people keep on calling my cell at anytime of the day, from morning to night time.

There is some kind of champaign from bottom feeders to try to trick me into picking up the phone to hear their scam by using varying fake Caller IDs and various phone numbers. My phone can be quiet from spam calls for weeks and then, all of a sudden, I get hit with up to 4 calls per day. Also, they use different company names, but I think that are the same or working together.

The last couple days have gone like this:

I am a UK citizen on vacation and got this cell phone a few days ago for convenience. I have no financial dealings in the US. This is clearly a speculative call by these debt collectors.

Got a call from this number. I missed the call so I called back to see who it was... They wouldn't tell me at first who they were and kept insisting that I give them my number so they could remove it from their database. I told the girl that I didn't feel comfortable giving my phone number to her and she kept asking for information and said that they were going to call me every day unless I give them my number. She eventually said that they were a financial institution called ARS and asked again who I was and for my number. I told her again that I am not comfortable giving my number out and she should have it since she called me... The last thing she said to me was, "well, we are going to call you tomorrow, and the day after and the day after and the day after all because you won't tell me your name and number!" and she hung up on me.

answered call.  Caller kept saying hello...I would say hello...she said hello...I said hello...she said hello...I said you were the one calling me.  No identification...said she wanted to get reference from someone named Marilyn Stevens....
