Just received call from 909-942-8000 when I picked up I recvied busy signal. I tried to call back but the phone just rings.

I missed a call from 909-942-8000 and when i called back the recording says that I have reached a number that is not in service.... hmmmmmmm amazing

its SCE Southern California Electric's automated service letting you know of a planned or non-planned power outage in your area for inland valley

somebody called me just to bother me.  

Please report this to the cops.

It must be from SoCalEd.  I called them several hours ago notifying them of a power outage.  They said when it came back on I could have them automatically call me to tell me.  I just got the call, but it only played a few bars of music then disconnected.  BTW, my power came on a few minutes earlier.

Have been getting calls every other day from 909-942-8000, leaves a message saying "press 1" and then the rest of the message is in spanish. When I called back, it just rang and rang.

received three calls from 909-942-8000 on May 19.  Tried to call back twice but no answer and no voice mail or answering machine.

by the way its displays a number because it a law however the number doesnt take incoming calls

this number called me and left a voicemail that said important information will be mailed to you! Havnt tried to call the number back yet...

Appears to be So Cal Edison notifying me of a planned service outage in my area. I also received correspondence explaining a possible 6 hour power interruption for equipment upgrade.

They just called me now 909-942-8000

Same as above, a female vooice said to hold for an important message from southern california edison, then they just hung up.  Very strange... When I called back a male voice said the number was no longer in service.

Got the call at 844 am on Jan 9th 2008. Called back about an hour later and got in a male voice "the number you have reached is not in service, please check the number and dial again."

Cal;ler ID Says: Souhern Calif...  Never leaves a message.  Never there when I answer.  Calling this number back only results in an unanswered call.

Confirmed. I did report a power outage.

its southern california edison... they call from an automated dialer to interupted service customers.  whenever i report our power out in riverside they call back whatever number i left them and the number on our account.

I get calls at 7:02 am that hang up when answered. A call back gets a recording saying the number is no longer in service. Some of your complainers say that it belongs to Southern California Edison's Billing Dispute Department. SCE says that they do not have any 909-942-8xxx numbers. And they do not start any calls until 9:00 am. Damn annoying.

This is the number used by Southern California Edison to let me know of a possible power failure when they are working on something that may interupt the power. It is a recorded call. They tried calling today and it didn't get through, but it did the last time they called.
