Put your number on the National Do Not Call registry.

I receie this number on and off. I have spoken to a live person telling them the the person they are calling does not have this telephone number. It stops for a while and then starts up again. I tried the "*" but I do not see this helping. Lets keep our figures crossed.

This number is verizon calling with a message for someone, the best part is the person they are looking for has been off my verizon bill for over a yr and we dont even speak anymore. and when i call it to say they have the wrong number and they say just press * , the stupid system won't recognize it from my blackberry.

This is a number that Verizon uses to call people who have "issues" with their bills or somebody else gave this number to Verizon as an alternative contact number when they opened their acount. Either way, they are calling about an "issue" with an account. My son uses Verizon and I use ATT. I keep getting calls from this number and when i cal it back from my cell phone it tells me to have XXX XXX call them regarding his account. It can't be stopped unless the primary holder on the account in question has it deleted. I can't block the number so I have a contact on my phone that is listed as numbers not to answer and I just don't answer. Good luck.
