Verizon can suck my wener

This call is NOT VERIZON!!! I talked to Verizon today and was told all their phone numbers are 800 numbers (866) Whoever this is is pretending to be Verizon. Please don't give any info to these people. I have Verizon Broadband, my cell phone is AT&T. I called the number back and it's asking for a 10 digit code. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE any info. Call your Verizon service with the number on your bill/statement. Tell them to block this caller. Rest assured this is a telemarketer who got your number on the internet. Watch out for these numbers you do not recognize! Always google them!

who keeps calling me from this number and why?  I dont answer calls i don't know who they are from.

It did inded turn out to Verizon and it was interesting if you just recall the number from the phone it calls it tells you you have a message and you enter some identifing info-my case a zip code- and you get a recording telling you what they want you to know -my case I had forgetten to mail a payment and I thought I had it was up in my car visor so it was a good thing they called. The recorded voice was very nice and it was a simple procedure to complete! Hey would would of thought !! :)

I received two calls from this number today (1/7/10).  

After reading the responses here, I double-checked my account balance online and it appears that I'm overdue... so I'm guessing that maybe this IS a valid Verizon number and reminding me to pay... but, I can't confirm that without actually answering the phone.

i keep getting these calls too.however theyre calling my house line and my cell but my verizon plan isnt even under my name so i dont think they'd call my cell for the bill without calling the main name on the account. i just ignore the calls

Well this number has never called me..
But Verizon keeps calling with this "Out Of Area" number. They call asking for someone who I never heard of.. The lady then asked if I wanted to be removed from the list. I said yes, gave her the last 4 digits of my home phone and then she said thank you for helping me and verizon. That was last night arouund 7pn.. now I woke up to my phone ringing at 8am and its verizon again. Anyone know how long it takes for a number to be removed? This is rather annoying

this is verizon calling you...you have a past due bill.  You just need to pay it or else in a few days your service will be disconnected.  They will not leave voice mails you just need to answer and either pay the bill through them on the phone or on line.

Just got off the phone with Verizon...it is a retention center. They call when you are ready for an upgrade to your phones. Just called them and told them to stop calling and they put a block on all lines so they stop calling.

It is Verizon, my contract expired so they offered me 2 free months to stay.  I was planning on staying anyway and $300 sounded like a good offer.  But It is annoying that they dont leave messages and keep on calling.

It was Verizon Wireless looking for payment on overdue account.

For those who say its not Verizon, its not.  It's Verizon Wireless which is a separate company.

I just received a telephone call from that 910 338 4182 number but did not answered and caller did not leave any message. I think the best way to handle these calls is not answering them.

This is a land line from a company called "Level 3 Communications LLC". They are based out of Wilmington, NC. Most likely solicitor, but worst case scenario this is a scam artist looking for unwary prospects.

I've gotten these types of calls before. Just don't answer the phone when they call: they will dwindle down to nothing soon enough. They only disadvantage is that they may hassass certain people on their call list for weeks.

I just got called by this # and when I tried calling back the message was "this number is not in service."  Ummmm....why?

Just got a call from 910 338 4182.  I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer.  Tried calling it back, but the number is not in service?!?!?!

Anyone know what the deal is?

I'm pretty sure it was Verizon because i had a pat due amount owed -but they leave no message and when you call it back it says it's a non - working number .Such a shady practice for a big company

These 910 area code numbers are the collections department of Verizon Wireless.  You may have a bill past due.

ITS A SCAM!

I own a business and have been called by several different numbers pointing to the North Carolina area. They always say they are from a telephone company "relaying" a message. (for the deaf/blind)

These people are doing the same kind of scam as the fake cashiers checks! REPORT THESE NUMBERS TO THE FEDS INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ON THESE TYPES OF SITES.

THE FASTER THE FEDS KNOW ABOUT IT- THE SOONER THIS RING IS BUSTED!!!!

This number keeps calling me and I am a verizon customer but I don't owe them any money or have any problems with my account. Is it for sure verizon?

This is a Verizon Wireless number reminding you to make a payment before your service terminates.  Verizon confirmed this for me quite readily.

If you can not leave a message, do not call as we screen our calls and we are not going to answer

this number showed up on my home and cell phone log with no message this afternoon

got it twice today. no message. white pages says from wilmington, nc

i am getting called several times daily from this number.no message ever left.can i block it?

It is the Verizon Customer Retention center am getting the same calls for some Rita Naomi.  Tried calling the number back but since I am not her it of course wouldn't work for me.   So I called Verizon directly 800-922-0204 and pressed 0 a couple times to get a person.  Was a little peeved since I am not a Verizon customer and have had this cell number for 6 yrs now so not like it was recently or ever someone elses.  They supposedly took care of it.  Time will tell I guess.

Of course I have gotten nowhere, been on hold with Verizon and Alltel (who I have my cell through) and neither can seem to figure anything out as to how to fix or stop it.  Keep getting transferred, cut off, told to call a different number, etc.

Over a period of 2 days this number called me approx. 5 times. Never left a message. It was bizzare.
