As soon as you pick the phone up they and all the other telmarks in the world know you are at home.

The ID for 912-257-4867 displays Public Safety. They are calling two to three time in one day. They want money for Teddy Bears for children involved in accidents. When asked about their foundation they will become hostile.

I receive the same type of calls from a number that is located in Cross Plains, Tennessee, which is northwest of Nashville, Tn.

These are scams for you money. Please don't contribute to these scamers.

Got or may need to say have several calls from this number. Someone who said they were Bob Seger said he was calling for help the children. The so call company is Public Safety. Have also
got calls from the company. I said that they call two or more times a day. This man (Bob) said
Ms. Teena we have not called you, you are just trying t get me off the phone. I said I have had calls
and yes I want to get you to hang up so I hany up on him. Within an hr. I get a call from no, name and no number. So what can we do?

While this is an old post, when I saw it I thought the misinformation in it needed to be corrected.  

Level 3 Communications isn't calling anybody.  They are a communications company just like Verizon or AT&T.  In fact, they are a very large provider.

So the scammers are buying phone service from Level 3, much like they might be buying from any one of a thousand other VOIP providers.  But Level 3 is not scamming you.  It would be like saying that because a scammer posted here, 800notes is trying to scam you.  It is just not true.

That said, Level 3 seems to take an overly agnostic position regarding the traffic on their network.  They tend to ignore legitimate and well founded complaints.  So they aren't exactly on my "nice" list, even if they aren't doing anything wrong.

Caller ID says 'Public Safety, ' for number 1-912-257-4867.  Unprofessional jerks on the line.  They sound foreign so I can't understand initial remark, but then they constantly yell 'hello' into the recorder as if they do not understand how phone recorders work.  It sounds like the baby.com people and if it is them, I alreay told them to quit calling my number.  This is B.S.

This number keeps calling me 3 times a day and when I pick up they just hang up. It is getting really annoying and I need it to stop. It says on the caller id public safety but they are really a bunch of scam artists.

I get calls weekly from this number.  It says Public Safety on caller ID. Today I answered but I did not speak and it disconnected.

Another number to block!  Panasonic phones must make a fortune with all of these scam artists out there.  When will the FTC actually come down hard on one of these bottom of the barrel outfits?  If they did and actually fined these people substantial amounts of money and it got advertisement, they would stop.  Right now there is near zero enforcement.

Got a call from this number but when I answered there was only silence on the line.  After a time the line went dead

File a complain with the do not call list.

Level 3 Communications, LLC  Solicatiors and scam artists.  It says "Public Safety" more like a public nusiance.  They called me 5 times in 3 days.  When you call the number back it goes to a automated message.  I actually talked to a lady and she said they are a non profit and therefore exempt from the do not call list.  Regardless liars and scam artists.

We have received calls from this same number numerous times and we are on a "no call" list also
Why can't these calls be stopped?

Got a call on the home phone from them yesterday. I was at work, but checked the caller ID when I got home. It said "Public Safety".  What's THAT all about??

912-257-4867 called twice today, did not leave a message. Did not answer the 'phone, since any caller with info or question of importance will LEAVE A MESSAGE, OR REQUEST A RETURN CALL.  Presume this to be a solicitation

Got a call from this number 912-257-4867 and they did identify my name but did not really leave a full voice message.  I'm sure it's a scam or a telemarketer, and I'm on the "don't call list".

I'm not sure who this is, but they have called me twice already today. They called around 9 in the morning and then again around 9 at night. They don't leave a message, but the second time I answered, they said the call was for me (my name) and then there was a pause and they hung up. When I tried calling the number back, an answering machine picked up and did not identify themselves. I'm assuming it is a soliciting call.
