I got a text that just said "hi Shaun"
I replied with "who's this?"
No response

Got a text from this number. It said hello Jarrod. So text back who is this and I got a reply : Ohh no... my Android s  going to die !!! WTH!

Same thing happened to me.  Told him he had the wrong number, got a 2nd text to add him on Y! Txtflirter420.  No thanks.

Well it looks like he got tired of his Iphone and now his Android's battery is about to die. Poor chap having a real difficult time with bateries.

Verde623, my scenario was identical to yours; text said: Hi Kay, then when I replied saying who is this, I got another message saying 'my iPhone is about to die'. Then I text back again, saying 'who is this?'. I got smart the final time and said: "My name is not Kay, so you must have texted the wrong person'. Didn't get another text from them, so I hope they leave me alone. Wish I knew how to block unwanted text messages (my android phone can block callers, but not text messages). Hate these stupid people!!!

Report the Yahoo ID to Yahoo abuse and the phone number to Text Plus

This crap is pissing me off now

i got it too. it said "hi Randy" i replied and got a "oh no my iphones about to die" then i replied and then i got another responce to add this person to Y!... Damn it.

I ask received a text message from this number -

I also just got a text message that said, "Hi Shawn?" I replied and got no response.

My guess is they're verifying numbers grabbed from hacked databases to sell to marketers.
