I've been getting the same calls for months. I changed my number recently to avoid this problem, but it seems like it didn't work. The caller ID is always "UNKNOWN". Sometimes the call is silent and ends with "Good bye" in an automated female voice.
Once the caller caught me at lunch with my family and notified me that my PC was in risk of viruses. I was puzzled because I don't own a PC computer, however I was intrigued. I let him explain more. Just as explained in older posts, the voice was foreign (sounded Indian or Middle Eastern). I finally told him "Thats funny, I don't own a PC". He immediately argued with me and told me that I was wrong.
Today I got two calls from the same voice. He told me that he was with the US Medical Health Care Dept. based out of Huston, TX and was looking for April. After I told him that he had the wrong number, he argued. He told me that he was doing a survey concerning women that have had surgery recently. I told him that I am not a woman, nor have I ever had the need for surgery. I managed to get his information. The reference number was (912) 658-6595. His name is Martin Peter. He asked me if I wanted to make a complain, which I quickly responded "I just want you to stop calling me". He ensured me that if I made a complain, the police nor FBI could do anything.
Now, I'm not racist, a detective, nor a clandestine officer (spy) however I do know that incoming calls from outside of the US as "UNKNOWN". I know that no Middle Eastern nor Indian man is named Martin Peter by his parents. Also the US Medical Health Care Dept. does not exist. I don't know how calls like these can be stopped but changing your number will not help. A government agency needs to step in!

"John Smith" from the United States Medical Department has called our office (California) several times for the past couple of months. Same and previous callers...asked if I had a bladder infection or any other type of medical surgeries. I know random people don't just get that information and call to ask you about it. He had a heavy indian accent. I asked for a supervisor name or someone who would be able to help me get number removed from call list and he said "no Thank you!'. Caller ID did not show up on my phone but when asked for his number he gave me (912) 658-6595. How can we stop calls? Not sure where to report.

Where is our protection from these creeps? They fall into the terrorist list, considering the information they have!

one of the many unwanted calls I receive daily. Usually solicitors. Usually call more than once a day, all hours of the day and/or night.

I have received calls on my home and cell phone and they always hang up the minute I pick up or, when I call back, I get "Verizon wireless, the number you are calling cannot be accessed." I called Verizon to ask them who this might be and they cannot give me an answer. So, yes, 6:50 am in the morning on a weekday when I am trying to get ready for work. I will be ready with a loud whistle or noise next time.

My Samsung S4 Note was stolen out of my purse while grocery shopping on January 29, 2014 in Chagrin Falls Ohio. The person who took it used my phone to call my closest friend on Florida (Jan 31st) twice yesterday as my name is now attached to 912 658 6595. They are using my sim card and my back up white battery pack attached with all my personal information. Please call local police as I am trying to locate this person who actually had this phone number at one time to sell his products on-line. My name is different then what is posted as I not only had my phone lifted but my S4 is my internet connection.

Seems to be a weird mix of scam call and old-fashioned obscene call. I have always ended the calls before they get into obscenities and threats with me.
I did shop at Target last month but used a gift card.
I had gotten one of these calls about 6 months ago, then no more til this winter when they accelerated like crazy. It actually happened after I tried to sign up for Apple Health(Obamacare). Don't know if there's a connection--hope not.

Got a call tonight from this number telling me I took birth control for the last "45 years" and now it was time to let someone "make me a mom"...? I mean, wtf really? Could barely understand him but I'm pretty sure that's what he said. I read there was a YahooMail hack and I'm thinking that's how he knows numbers, names, addresses?

Called 5-6 times and you could not understand him. Finally I told him to hold on while I transfer him to the Police Department and no more calls until tonight

I got a call from this number today. It was also a foreign voice with noise in the background. I tell people that they have the wrong number whenever they call me, but this one knew my first and last name which really creeped me out. Last summer a similar number would call me multiple times a day for over a month. I told him to take me off whatever list I was on and this man laughed at me and told me he couldn't do that, I hung up out of aggravation. It wasn't until this guy caught me in a very bad day when I used vulgar language that he stopped calling. I don't know how this caller got my number, but they need to lose it real fast.

Received a call from this number today, based in Savannah, Georgia. Seems like a scam claiming some official medical agency and just wants information.
I hung up and will proceed to report them.

Called my home phone but left no message. Did any/all you folks shop at Target last fall like I did? I'm starting to get a lot of this kind of call and I'm thinking that's why.

I received 4or 5 calls from this number today. I answered the 1st time asking who they were. why they were calling and what they wanted. The man that responded had a foreign voice and stated that he wanted me and proceeded to tell me he was "a bad boy". I hung up the phone and the number continued to call 3 or four more times -back to back. I finally made a phone call so I would not have to hear my phone ring and he would not get an answer from my number. Would like to report this person !!!! Made me VERY ANGRY !

Got a call on my home phone from this number today. Lots of chatting in the background, but nobody on the other end.
| catmomma 2014-01-30 22:45:40 Unknown |
I meant to add that they've called as early as 6:42 AM!

I got a call from them today. When I answered I heard what sounded like "boiler room" noises in the background and couldn't understand what they were saying , so hung up. I only have a mobile phone, and usually this is the kind of stuff associated with landlines, so that's why it's troubling. During the month of January, I've been getting calls from "unknown", from a weird 8 digit number in MA and from Texas, Maryland and Washington. All of them have also been calling people on these boards with the same type of stuff, personal medical questions, promises of a "medical card", etc. One of them asked about my bladder surgery. I told them I'd never had bladder surgery but even if I had, I'm not sure it was their business because of medical privacy. At one point they were calling 4-5 times a day. Now it's not so often. Most of the time I ignore the calls. They never leave messages. I've filed complaints with both Clark Howard and the WA Attorney General. It seems very reminiscent of phishing, except on the phone.
