company keeps calling me about another person

They call my cell phone and when I don't answer, they send a text message that says it comes from my phone??? In the message area, it just says "913-323-8300." I sent a text message back asking, "who is this?" It didn't go anywhere. It's set up somehow so it looks as if I'm sending myself a text. I don't know who these people are. When I looked up the number, it says that it's a collection agency for Citibank. I don't now nor have I ever had a Citibank account. LEAVE ME ALONE LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This lady called my cell phone today, I didn't reconize the number so I didn't answer it, they left a message that said Mr. Jenkins your account has been turned over to our agency for collection I need you to call me back ASAP to handle this matter then she leaves her name and number.

I call her and tell her that i am NOT Mr. Jenkins nor Mrs. she proceeded to tell me that I owed this debt to Citibank and I said Maam I do not owe anything to Citibank because my last name is _________. She said they wouldn't be given this number if I wasn't that person, I replied with, do I sound like a male to you and she said no but you could be his wife, I told her I was done with this conversation and if she wanted to call Verizon she would know that my name is Stacy ________.

I hung up and she called back and left another message stating that since I was avoiding my debt she had no other recorse but to file legal action against me, Im sorry Mr. Jenkins but it seems that you are getting sued.

These retards have been calling my house for several weeks and dont get the picture when i tell them they have the wrong number. Whomever had my number before either owed someone money or these people are just thick. Eitherway its annoying. When I was polite and tried to explain it was a new phone number for me the woman on the other end got really snotty and had all sorts of additude.

don't know who is and don't care who are.  Get real life or job whoever you are. Stop calling this number.  I have reported your number with the BBB and other people too.  Oh, the government list too.

Friday nite get a call wanting to know if I knew how to contact someone I have never heard of.  The guy from the collection company says that he put me down as a family member.  This really sounds fishy to me  My credit is good and don't want to be bothered with this. I really hope that this is the only call I get.  I have learned to check out phone numbers just fot this reason

This number goes in spurts.  I'll get phone calls from them constantly for a couple of days and then nothing for weeks. They say we owe them money.  Mr. Marquis has even called my mother in law to get our number.  This is sad because my deceased father in law has the same name as my husband and ma gets angry.  Pa has been dead for almost 10 years.

Receive calls from this number at least 3 times a day....I have told them I WILL NOT deliver messages for them or Do their JOB this makes them really mad...SO NOW I DO NOT EVEN ANWSER WHEN I SEE THEIR CALL.I GOT RID OF CALL INTERCEPT AND HAVE BEEN USING MY CALLER ID ALOT MORE...SO I AM IGNORING A LOT  OF CALLS.NOW..I HAVE A MESSAGE THAT STATES IF THEY ARE CALLING FROM AND ARE UNKNOWN OR UNAVAILABLE. WE WILL NOT CALL THEM BACK.WHY SHOULD I BE HASSELED BY A COLLECTION COMPANY WHEN I HAVE EXCELLENT CREDIT...GEEZ........LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY, REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM YOUR SYSTEM..GT A REALLY JOB WHERE YOU AREN'T SITTING ON YOU AZZZZZ ALL DAY BUGGING PEOPLE...MAKE YOUR MOMMA PROUD.GET A REAL JOB.

Good article, and I agree they are scammers of some sort. Best to stay away from them, far away from them, as they will only try to scam you out of your money.

Appears to be an illegal boiler room operation. The owner as well as the employees, who are knowing participants in the illegal activities, should be arrested and serve time in prison for their crimes.

Calls way too much. When they couldn't get ahold of me they tracked down my mother and began calling her. I haven't even lived at home in 10 years (not too mention my mother's phone number was changed 5 years ago). They  need to take a hint when someone tells then the debt is taken care on. Quit calling!!!!!!!!!
