Hello,

I understand you probably get a lot of emails but please don't overlook this one. Celebrity China has ruined my life and my future with my hubby. The reason for this is there expensive cookware. Before April 6th, 2013 we received numerous calls stating that we had won 2 free toasting flutes. When I had called someone back they had told me that if I listened to a 90 minute presentation I would receive my free toasting flutes at the end of the presentation.   On April 6th, 2013 My fiancée had attended a presentation and never received our free toasting flutes.
On April 6th, 2013. My fiancée and I  had purchased a set of Celebrity China including: flat ware, cookware and an 8 piece knife set for a price of $2184.73.  My fiancée and I were very unsure about making such a large purchase and did no research on this third party company before making a final decision.  The salesman Rik Plumb had sold us this purchase at the Sterling Inn in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Rik was extremely high pressuring and would not let us leave without making a purchase.  We received the cookware, knife set, and flat ware on April 29th 2013.  We had used one pan out of the six pans that we had received. The salesman had told us that the pans were nonstick and everything we cooked on them for the one meal we cooked stuck to the pan.   On April 30th 2013, my fiancée had lost his job making us unable to pay for the cookware set. I had made a phone call to Celebrity China in Lenexa Kansas. I had discussed my concerns with Doug.   Who had told me that he was unable to return the un used pans and I was forced to pay for them. When I had talked to Doug there was minute pause between our conversations making me believe that I was talking to a computer and Doug does not even exist.  Rik Plumb is another one that does not exist. After I had the conversation was Doug I was infuriated and decided to send the pans back. They were sent out and returned on (date). My fiancée did some research and the phone number and name given were fake.  I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau , Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General, and the Cosumer Agency of Michigan. Something needs to be done about this.  This company is a fraud and is high pressuring. I have done a lot of research on this company and I did not find any good reviews on them.  I hope that with all of this negative feedback from this company you think twice for letting them attend Bridal Shows. Please let every bride you know about this company. They are nothing but a scam and innocent young bride and grooms should be aware of them.

Thanks for your time,

Sal

Yes but I would hope that they would respect their customers enough to not sell their information.  On top of that, I did not SIGN a single contract with David's Bridal.  I filled out the form (in the store) that they require you to fill out in order to try on their dresses (after being told it was so they could get to know me and enter it in their computer so they have it on file).

Just FYI, I'm going to one of their presentations Saturday. I don't think they're a scam because my sister did this kind of deal (she loves the cookware, but I don't think I'm going to buy... too expensive).

However, while I was on the phone today with Celebrity China, a guy named Tom answered. He asked to put me on hold, but he didn't (I hope this was an accident!) Instead of hold music, I heard him and another lady talking about, "Wow, you look great!" and "Thanks, but you haven't seen me naked!" It was kind of gross, especially when they followed up about how she should see him naked. I asked him about it when he came back on the line and he played it off like there was a problem with their hold music... "Oh! You heard what? Well, we've uh... been experiencing some troubles with our hold music... I'll uh, look into that. Sorry if you were offended... uh..." He ended up closing the conversation early, without even telling me where it is I was going on Saturday! I had to call him back. Can you say awkward?

I'm grossed out, through and through. I'm going Saturday to get my free flutes, then I'm hoping to never hear from them again.

I also went to the Houston Bridal Extravaganza and got a call from them about 3/2 hotel stay plus some glasses for going to some seminar at a hotel. Ok, was game for it but fiancé not so much. I hear comments about them steady calling after requests to stop; how long did they keep it up? I really don't want to have to battle these guys.

I went to the 'Bridal Extravaganza' in Houston & apparently that is where I "won". HA!! Too bad my sister got the same EXACT call 10 minutes before me! I didn't "win" anything good, just a load of BS & a free waste of 90 minutes of my life!

Has anyone actually used this 2 night stay? We went to a presentation tonight and didnt buy anything but the cookware looked great. We are wondering if the 2 night hotel stay is a scam to or just a tool to lure you in? Obvisouly the real scam is the thousands of dollars for some pans, but is the hotel stay legitimate?

There is a $50 refundable deposit on the Hotel. We went to the 90 min. "live infomercial" I wasn't so impressed with the knives, crystal, flatware, or china (besides that he threw it on the ground & it didn't break), but I was really impressed with the Vita Craft Cookware! My FH does not like vegetables at all, but he liked the way they were steam cooked with this cookware. They had a lot more flavor! I would LOVE to own a set someday. However, we can not afford $1,500 in cookware at the moment. We did feel a lot of pressure to buy and it seemed like the presenter was getting mad that none of us were buying (there was 6 of us). He also "cracked a joke" that my FH & I are sinners for living together. He swore quite often as well, pretty unprofessional. The sales rep was not the greatest, but the demonstration of the performance of the cookware sells itself. My parents have a set of stainless steel pans & they have lasted  them more than 30 years! I personally liked that the handles were removable & that they had the air valve on the lid. Our "special for the evening" was $200 off the $1600 set plus you get like $480 worth of merchandise of your choice (knives, china, etc...) He also told us that after your 1st purchase you then get 40% off all future purchases. So you can purchase a small item that night, get the free cruise (plus taxes & fees) and then buy the $1600 set for 40% off= $960! I think that is a better deal. No matter what though you get the free champagne flutes, & free hotel stay... no purchase necessary. My FH & I thought it was a scam at first too. Honestly, we just went for the free stuff & that is what we left with! Don't buy anything you can't afford, but if you have the money it is a good investment that you will use everyday for the rest of your life.

i agree, i wish i would've read the 'terms and conditions' but i didn't and was rushing b/c unlike a lot of chicks, i HATE this process and want it over with. i spent less than an hour looking for my dress and my mom actually filled out the info crap for david's bridal. oh well. lesson learned.
however, i am getting several calls daily from this celebrity china. i see mixed reviews. i don't want to sit through a 90 min presentation... but a 2-night, 3 day hotel stay would be kinda nice... does anyone know what cities they offer this for? and is it a scam or not? be honest. i've had to cancel cards b/c i'm stupid and sign up for dumb s*** (impulsive maybe??)

me and my fiance went and thought it was great, i don't work for them i only have a saturday job. we bought the small pack and yeah it was pricey but worth it, we got steak knifes with it and my future mother in law who is a big time cook is very tempted to steal the stuff as we had it shipped to her house till we get married. we had gone to another show like this one and it was over priced by a lot compared to these guys. we also got a cruise with our purchase that we only have to pay taxes on, which the guy told us up front, he was honest which was nice, the first show they lied about the cost and didn't say about the extra fees for the trips they were giving. overall we are very pleased with our cookware that we got. ^^

I notice none of the shills has explained how the worthless grocery "coupons" work. All of the gifts are worthless as all have a catch that negates their value. It's so pathetically obvious the good reports are written by a company employee. They use the same terminology, and not the kind of words a real customer would use. You KNOW it's a scam when the company comes here to falsely defend itself.

Here is what I posted on brides.com

We went last night. The presentation took approx. 90 min. They showed us all about the cookware. From what I saw it was a very good product. As I mentioned above my FH and I do not have money for that right now. Also we were the youngest ones there. There were about 6 other couples who are all getting married this year, not 2012 like us lol. Anyway. We did receive our free toasting glasses No purchase necessary.
"For being on time" we received a mail in coupon for free 35 mm camera (the old kind where you get the film developed) and 100 free rolls of film. In order to get this you send the coupon in with 5.95 S+H and the send you the camera with a few rolls of film. To get the 100 rolls you must do your developing through Kodak by mailing in and paying for development for the rolls.
Next we have the 3day2night hotel stay. You receive a brochure with a form that must be filled out within 30 days of issue date. You send in a $50 refundable (unless you cancel irresponsibly or fail to show up) deposit. They send you written confirmation of this. Then you contact them via phone and arranged for your stay. They offer a wide variety of locations and hotels. You must book at least 30 days in advance but no more than 60 days. You must use the voucher within one year of date of issue(i.e. when you went to the presentation).
We were also offered $100 merchandise gift card for their company. I wanted to take advantage of this offer. Almost everything they sell is over this price. The only cookware that was not was a cookie sheet or baking pan. The crystal glasses ranged from $40-60 each. Although the sales person I spoke with informed me they were not supposed to do what we ended up doing, he allowed it anyway. You are supposed to be allowed up to $100, or I think you can put it towards a large set. I however have worked for a similar company and know that everything can be sold individually. I ended up getting him to let me use the gift card towards two large ice tea glasses (60 each) and I paid the difference. SO ultimately I paid $20 for the two glasses.

After the presentation I think the cookware is a good product and can see how someone with a larger income could easily want to make a purchase. I do appreciate that they have a lifetime warranty and I could tell that those selling the product truly believe in it. Which to me is an important factor.
My advice to anyone who receives this call: If you do not mind giving up 90 min of your time, go and receive your free toasting glasses. You may want to leave your wallet in the car (we did) so that you are even more aware of your purchase. If you decide you want to get something, you have to think about it enough to go out to the car and get you wallet. You should probably decide ahead of time with your FH how much extra money you may have that you are willing to spend. They have payment plans but I wouldn't advise letting that change your set amount. If you are the kind to buy something if it impresses you at first and later regret decisions, do not go.

I went to a bridal show, that I had won tickets to, and signed up for this and me not being a lucky person didnt think they would actually draw my name. Well, luck would have it that they did! So I managed to talk my fiance' into going to this, seeing as we just wanted the free trip. Lets be honest thats all we all wanted! So we went last night, and had so much fun!! The guys were so great and lively, not pressure to buy, very informative, and just all around funny nice guys. There were 3 other couples in the room with us and 2 of the couples were all complaining in the end because we would have to be mailed our crystal flutes, they were broken in the shipment here. We were the last to talk with the salesman after the presentation, because we went out of the room to talk about it quietly.

When we came back I asked where everyones fluted glasses were and was showed that they had broken, that was fine. Then I was given our hotel accomidations, and yes there is a $50 refundable deposit, but dont you have to reserve rooms with a cc anyway, um yes you do! So no big deal! Well we had decided to purchase but before we purchased right in front of these men I googled 'celebrity cyrstal scams" and preceeded to read to them everything from this site and others and the BBB ratings. This intrigued the guys, Im sure they have read it before but I was letting them know that I was not going to be taken!

We ended up getting the Set III Plus II. So we got all the cookware, a premium knife set, 4piece steak knife set and the guy through in the 7 piece utensil set just because. Total price + tax - what we put down was 2200. Is that alot for cookware??? Lord yes, but my fiance' have been together for 3 years and have 6 kids(both of us have been married before, no kids together) and have had to buy 3 cookware sets! Now do the math here this one has a TRUE LIFETIME warranty. And will cook in half the time or less, thats impoatant to us because we both work and have no time to good. And since its waterless and greaseless it is healthier for our kids. Instead of us pickin up pizza or some other junk because we work late and have no time to cook, we can now cook because this cookware gives us the option too!! I dont work for these people, I live in Memphis and work for a loan company. Im just stating the facts.

At the end we met some nice people, got some great cookware and some extras, our fluted cyrstal is coming in the mail, got our 2 night 3 day hotel stay, a free camera and film to send off for, a grocery coupon book to send off for(and yea this and camera and film costs 5.95, so its not exactly free) and a cruise! The cruise is not free you do have to pay the port charges and things like that per person, but it comes out to like $500, show me where you can get a cruise for that much!!!!!

I was soooo impressed and Im very un-trusting of people, I never believe the crap that comes out of some people so rest assured this company is legit and all the other reviews on here are just people who had to share a plate of food, may have had to come off a little money they didnt want to, or just want everything for free!!!

Go and check it out, and like I said before if your just going for the hotel accomidations, just take that and go. It has not hurt you any!

I received a call for my Bride from Celebrity China.
I was told we had been selected to receive a 3 day 2 night Hotel stay
and a pair of Crystal Toasting flutes. (My first thought was scam)
I was told to receive them we would have to attend a 90 minute Presentation
as a couple. So I took a time slot to get them of the phone and then did a search...

Hence here I am...

After reading the posts above, I decided to go to the BBB.
Let me share the link with you. http://www.kansascity.bbb.org

Celebrity China & Crystal Is an Accredited BBB Member with a current A
Rating.

No Company with such a rating, can be a scam. Therefore my Bride & I decided to goto their Presentation this evening.

YES We received a 3 Day 2 night Hotel Stay - YES there is a $50 Refundable Deposit
(Required by the hotels, being a hotel manager I understand this)
YES we received our Crystal Toasting Flutes.

YES it is a 70 Minute (Live Infomercial) About their Products and their Warranties.

NO, there was not any high pressure sales. As a matter of fact we asked for our gifts at the end,
we were asked "Why". Told the sales guy we just were not interested. He said... "That's okay, we know it is not for everyone"... Then Gave us our gifts and thanked us for coming down!

The Cookware they had is made by a company called Vita Craft (www.VitaCraft.com) & I decided to look then up in the hotel lobby before leaving.

Upon Researching Celebrity China & Crystal through the BBB, and then Vita Craft after their presentation (I also researched them through the BBB and they are A+ Rated) My Bride and I made the decision be become Customers of both companies.

We are excitedly looking forward to receiving our Cookware and China Package in 3-4 weeks.
Lifetime Warranted Products from American Companies... BBB A & A+ Rated... I Believe we made the right decision.

With that said, I believe in Research and the Truth. I can see many people above do not. So with that said, I have given YOU the Tools and the sites to find the truth for yourself.

People of America WAKE UP --- Like we don't believe everything we see on TV, don't believe everything that you read on the internet!!! When it comes to Companies goto the BBB, do some solid research...
