Calling multiple times per day from this number as well as several "405" area-code numbers, which I believe are "spoofed". Finally decided to answer the phone on 11/16...big mistake. A lot of loud music in the background...and the (female) voice says my name, to which I answer, what is your name and for which company do you work as you've been calling my number repeatedly for several weeks. She refused to give her name but did advise the co. name was Interstate Recovery Services & that I owed $$ to Great American Reading for some magazines & how would I like to pay them.I told them I had never heard of this company (GAR), and asked for either a bill or debt validation letter & was given the reply of "we don't do that". When I told her that I wouldn't be paying anyone anything without either one, she started telling me to be quiet, and to stop using a loud voice. After going back and forth with her talking over me for about a minute or so, she hung up. So, I called back and was greeted with a loud-playing "Maroon 5" song for about 30-45 seconds and then the line hung up again. I called back a 3rd time, and got some man named "Akeem" who said why do you keep calling back and yelling, to which I replied if someone would actually listen to what I am saying and not hang up on me...he interrupts and says this company (Interstate) is not in Kansas, but in Virginia Beach, VA (Address provided at end of call is just a PO Box versus a physical address). Then claims only got my "account" a month ago..and haven't called multiple times per day to which I told him was a lie b/c I have the proof on my caller ID that says otherwise. He said the debt is from Jan 2007...so I said, almost 6 years, and you just now decided your "company" wants this money and you think this debt is valid and not subject to my state's statute of limitations even if it was valid? I restated that I wanted a debt validation letter and again he refused saying they don't do that. Told me I'd have to send them a letter (??)...so I took down an address (and I don't plan to send them anything...this was get him off the phone) and asked for the amount supposedly due and he said $748.50. I told him under no uncertain terms were they to call me again.**NOTE: I had my identity stolen in Jan 2007, which is an interesting side note...99% sure this is in relation to that incident...police report filed as well then...and will be reporting them to the FTC for multiple FDCPA violations.

Keeps calling at all hours of day or night. No messages.

They r calling me and they i owe them $200 and if i dont pay them then gonna take any action against me, what should i do?

It is interstate collections. Don't pay them or anything they are trying to collect for a Bill from 4 years ago that I already paid back then

i also have tried to call back and get no one. Get between 4 & 6 calls a day. Wish they would stop or if I could find a way to make them stop!

Call from Bonner Springs, Ks.  No message .  Just keeps calling.  Pain in neck.

Got a call, husband answered and they asked for me and he said no and gave his first name.  They hungup.

I keep getting phone calls from this number all hours of the day & night; they do not leave a message.  It's pretty sickening when they call after 10:00 pm
