Got a call this afternoon from this number. Had fantasies of some old girlfriend calling me. Guess not...bummer.

I was reading what you wrote...is there anything i can do legally to file a complaint against these guys?  I got a number to call back and when i call i was repeatedly hung up on.  One of the guys actually called me a dirty lesbian s**t.  SO...I am not very happy.  Any information would be helpful.  Thank you.

Got a phone call from this number 4 pm today (Wed. Sept 3) on my cell phone. I never answer calls from numbers I do not know so I let it ring, they did not leave a voicemail. When I got home, I did a Google search and found this page.  I hate this stuff, a WASTE of my time & $$.

How do they get these numbers?

More information gleaned from the wonders of the internet - both companies (general warranty services and dealer warranty services - I suspect both companies are the same, either using multiple domain names or shell companies owned by a third, as yet unidentified company) are registered via betterwhois.com as being through domainsbyproxy.com. A call to that company got me through to someone who only identified himself as Ben, a member of team gray. Upon explaining the situation, as well as the way their client(s) seem to be in violation of numerous federal statutes (violation of federal do not call registry, telemarketing to cellular devices, etc), I then requested contact information on those companies.
Per dbp's usage agreement :
You also warrant the domain name being registered by DBP on Your behalf will not be used in connection with any illegal or morally objectionable activity (as defined below in Section 4), or, in connection with the transmission of Spam.

4. DBP's rights to deny, suspend, terminate service and to disclose your personal information

You understand and agree that DBP has the absolute right and power, in its sole discretion and without any liability to You whatsoever, to either:

  1. Close Your account (which means You then become the Registrant of the domain name registration);
  2. Reveal Your name and personal information that You provided to DBP when:
     A. Required by law, in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law;
     B. To comply with a legal process served upon DBP; or
     C. In order to comply with ICANN rules, policies or procedures
  3. Resolve any and all third party claims, whether threatened or made, arising out of Your use of a domain name registered by DBP on Your behalf; or
  4. Take any other action DBP deems necessary:
     A. In the event you breach any provision of this Agreement or the DBP Anti-Spam Policy;
     B. To protect the integrity and stability of the applicable domain name Registry;
     C. To comply with any applicable laws, government rules or requirements, subpoenas, court orders or requests of law enforcement;
     D. To comply with ICANN's Dispute Resolution Policy;
     E. To avoid any financial loss or legal liability (civil or criminal) on the part of DBP, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, agents, officers, directors and employees;
     F. If the domain name DBP registers on Your behalf violates or infringes a third party's trademark, trade name or other legal rights; and
     G. If it comes to DBP's attention that You are using DBP's services for purposes of engaging in, participating in, sponsoring or hiding Your involvement in, illegal or morally objectionable activities, including but not limited to, activities which are designed, intended to or otherwise:
           1. Appeal purely to the prurient interests of third parties;
           2. Defame, embarrass, harm, abuse, threaten, or harass third parties;
          ***** 3. Violate state or federal laws of the United States and/or foreign territories;******
           4. Involve hate crimes, terrorism and child pornography;
           5. Are tortious, vulgar, obscene, invasive of a third party's privacy, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable;

           7. Harm minors in any way; or
           8. Relate to or transmit viruses, Trojan Horses, access codes, backdoors, worms, timebombs or any other code, routine, mechanism, device or item that corrupts, damages, impairs, interferes with, intercepts or misappropriates any software, hardware, firmware, network, system, data or personally identifiable information.

Upon being notified of this, Ben placed me on hold for several minutes, then came back and nthen directed me to their subpoena policy that states all requests for information must be in writing - and you have to pay for it. He transferred me (on request) to someone claiming to be his supervisor - Dave. Dave also refused any information, then when I asked for the corporate phone #, he appears to have lied and stated the # I had dialed (4806242599) was the corporate contact # - yet that # dumps one into an ivr and then to a call center. Upon asking for his supervisor, I was transferred to Chris Brown - who after explaining the issue, took my contact information (and provided me his - not posted here per Chris' request), and agreed to forward everything to his loegal department to decide what information they'd be able to provide. I also advised he or the legal department take a look at this site, as well as others found by Google (search for warranty services scam, you'll see a LOT of complaints about this) to determine the advisability of retaining this/these outfit(s) as a client.

I have been getting these calls for over two months I spoke with one of the operators and I was sopose to be removed. I should have been remove about a duzen times I have even called back and requested a manager. I was only allowed to leave a message. I belive these calls are a scam and that they are trying to get under my skin I would like to know the physical oragen of these calls so I can go thair in person and speak to someone. Then maybe I could get this resolved. and also the number changes every three to four days.

Got a call today, stayed on the line to speak with someone. Person identified himself as Matt, stated he works for Warranty Services, then when I asked where he is located, he disconnected the call.

If you call the number back, it gives an option to have your number removed. Simply press "1". Worked for me! Stupid telemarketers.

called in the afternoon, but I didn't answer.  I have been getting a lot of calls over the past few months that I don't answer adn then google to find on this site with the auto warranty description.
