I receive calls from this number and others ... when I answer, I get a message saying, "I have an important message for _____.  Please wait and someone will assist you shortly" .... then it keeps you on "hold" forever ... then comes back on and says, "Please call back as soon as possible."   No identity ... no account name ... nothing.   I never answer calls beginning with 800 ... 888 ... 866 ... 877 ... etc.   The phone for these calls rings 3 times and stops.   These are robocalls and a perfect annoyance ... they call all hours of the day and night.

I get calls from this number. I have no credit cards. It's fraud.

this number has been calling me about 3 times a day for the last week, they never leave a message and I have no credit cards so I don't think they are a real collector. Not sure how they got my number because someone else posted on here saying the numbers are from places they have traveled and I have never traveled to KS so not sure whats going on here, but I think its scammers.

This # keeps calling me and never leaves a message! I have blocked them out of my phone. It Turns out that this is World Financial Network Bank who has multiple Credit Cards. The one that i have is for Victoria Secret. That Credit Card is always paid on time cause, i go into the store to pay it. I have no clue on why they keep calling me but, they will just continue to get hung up on for all i care this is such b***s***! They call every hour on the hour and it drives me NUTS!!!!!!

Called today, asked for someone that I didn't know, and then asked if I knew her.  I said no.  They better not call again, I'm getting repeated spam calls from collection agencies.

Someone from this number continues to call my cell phone. I am not answering as I do not know anyone with this number and I believe it to be a scam. Please block this number from my phone.

This number (913-563-5504), and several other unknown numbers, such as 303-255-5139; 614-212-7550; 614-729-6034 and 800-238-2727, have called my mobile phone repeatedly over the past few days.  Info on this website indicates that the calls are credit card collection agency related, but I have NO store credit cards whatsoever and no bank cc with an overdue balance.  So I don't know why they keep calling me (I do not answer and the caller does not leave a message).
I've had the same mobile number for years with no problems, but I transferred it to a new Tracfone, using Tracfone's website, on 2/2/14.  The unwanted calls from unrecognized callers began flooding in on 2/7/14.  From that I could conclude that someone hacked the Tracfone website or something related to Tracfone is going on.

I keep getting this phone number showing up on my cell.  I will not pick it up since I have no clue who is calling.  Whomever is calling should be arrested and or fined!  I don't know what else to do regarding this caller

i paid in full in November. In feb they are called me asking for $110 past due.$110 was nothing but late fees and interest.  i was 1 day late in november.  Who charges late fees and interest for 1 day????
I asked to cancel the account and customer service rep tried to educate me that my account will still be in collections even if I cancel the account.- I said I did not care as I am not paying them $100.00 for 1 day being late. They removed the fees.

Even if you owe someone money or are past due on a payment, they do not need you to verify your entire social security number or card number.  I work for a credit card company and know the law.  If you ask for paperwork,  that is your legal right.   If they refuse to mail it, they are not a legit business.

If you don't have any outside credit, CALL IMMEDIATELY! You are likely a victim of identity theft.  This is a bank that manages the credit line of many stores.  They make calls in reference to late payments.  In-store credit is the easiest form of identity theft, so I would definitely call ASAP.  As far as the messages go, they are restricted by law as far as phone communication.  They cannot imply that there is a debt of any kind, and can only speak to the person on the account.  Otherwise they are liable to be sued.  When i spoke to them, I suggested that they at least identify who they are, even if they keep out any other information, but this still wouldn't have told you what it was for.

Similar situation, but without the threat.  I owed $15 and it was only 10 days late.  Not even a notice on my account online!  But they called me 6 times in 2 days.  Since I saw that you received a threat of repeated calls, I thought I would inform you that you have the right to sue them.  Just Google "harassment from collections."  They are not allowed to threaten with more calls or that they will hurt your credit, and if you request that they stop calling you, they are obligated to do so.  If they still find it important to communicate with you, they can send you a letter.

I was getting calls from this number (as well as other numbers with the same result) where I would miss the call and they wouldn't leave a message.  I noticed that a LOT of people had the same issue.  I called the number, and you don't get a live person.  You get a LONG list of options.  It's a bank that manages a long line of store credits.  When they finally got to a store that sounded familiar, I selected that option.  I was then taken to a person who asked me for my account number.  I explained the numerous calls without messages.  She said I was late on a payment.  Only about 10 days late too.  I wasn't aware since I looked online and it showed a higher amount due, but no sign of it being late, but jeeze people!  Multiple calls a day for a mere $15 that was 10 days late?!  Anyway, I then told her that it is frustrating to miss so many calls and get no voicemails and she informed me that they are not allowed to leave messages in case someone else hears.  I do know this to be true.  They cannot give out any information or imply that there is a debt over without first verifying that the person they are referencing is the one on the phone.  They can actually be sued for something so simple as a message.  I, however, suggested that they at least leave a message stating the name of their company (maybe even the company they are referencing, such as the store name) and a call-back number.  I also let them know that when I searched it, EVERY response to this number was complaints about calls with no messages.  She said she would let her supervisor know, but I doubt anything will come of it.  I was also concerned to find a lot of people saying they were surprised to find out that it was for a line of credit because they have no open credit.  In this case, I would DEFINITELY call this number back.  Most likely, you have become a victim of Identity theft.  The easiest form of identity theft is through in-store credit.

2. She has passed away last year
3. Tell them the number is listed as private from the sheriff's office. (my favorite) They tend to hang up quickly.

they have called me 5 times already this morning and it isn't even 11:00. I answered a call last week from this number, there was no name so I asked who it was before I gave out any info, the guy gave me a really hard time, I said I wasn't going to tell him who I was until he stated where he was calling from. He then said he was going to call constantly until he reached the person he was looking for. I asked him if he was threatening me, and he repeated that he was going to call repeatedly. the only credit acct I have has a balance of $29.00 I can't believe they are putting so much energy into something that is only 2 weeks late

you can call your cell phone servicer and they can block the numbers.  Go online to your servicer to block numbers.
