This guy is a total scam. I put up a craigslist ad for a phone. He posed as a potential buyer and asked me to text him at this number. He asked for my email address, and I received a fake "Paypal" email from him stating that there was money in my paypal account. It also said for me to ship my phone to somewhere in Nigeria. Of course, there was $0 in my actual paypal account. LOL like I'm going to fall for that dumb trick !!!  Try harder next time !

Thank you for posting this warning. You saved a single mother and her hopeful daughter some cash. Something needs to be done about thugs like this.

Scammer on CL.  Offering to pay more than list price and wants it shipped internationally.  Claims to want to use PayPal but it's invalid.

Oh my god, Thank you very much! I was literally getting ready to ship it right now, and I was suspicious, so I decided to look up the number. He claimed to be "Joe Phillips" who was residing in Kansas, and wanted me to send a Sony Handycam to his cousin in Nigeria on a buisness trip. I was suspicious, so I'm glad I looked this up. Thank you very much, I can't explain how grateful I am.  I listed the camera as 400 and he said 500 with shipping costs, and wanted to use paypal. I told him Western union instead, but I'm glad I had that hunch and decided to look up his number. He also contacted me within a day. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the warning!!!! He also wanted to buy my ring on Craigslist. He wanted my Paypal email address and was going to pay full price and an extra $100 for shipping. I just wished I didn't give him my phone number. What can he do with my number?

Thanks for saving my a**!!! I was ready to ship my new 20 inch iMac when he told me he has verified PayPal account, and the transaction would be done through paypal. This is the first time for me to sell something on Craigslist, and I cannot thank you enough for posting your experiences. Something hit me when he suggested I would ship the item to his cousin, and I turned to the telephone number he txt me and searched this number on google. Then, there you guys are!!! I can imagine how many people this guy/gal has scammed especially those with limited understanding about internet scams. Thanks again!

He is a scammer.   This is the second add I placed on an expensive item and he also tried the pay pal crap with me.  I knew him from my post last year.  I texted him back and told him that the only way this ring will be sold is face to face with cash in hand at the local police department.  He is not responding to that.  LOL  SCAMMERS

Basically the same story as everyone. Trying to through a "PayPal agent." I called him out and he text me all day trying to convince me to ship to him. Then actually said he was contacting the FBI when I wouldn't ship him my item! Lol

I received a text from this number about my ad in Craigist.After googling the number and finding the information on this site, I text the number back with this sites link. I then informed the person not to contact me again. I then blocked the number.

Craig's List scammer. This guy is a scammer. He offered to pay $100 above the asking price on CL. He lives in "Kansas"or is using a Kansas phone number, which goes into voicemail. The recording is a woman's voice that says "HP-Cannon...??" He wanted me to ship the item to Nigeria, and sent me some fake email saying transaction will complete after tracking number is received. What a d-bag.

Craiglist scammer.
When trying to complete a transaction, he poses a fake e-mail under Consultant.com instead of PayPal's service. Says he'll pay an extra $100 - which turned into an extra $200 - for shipping to Nigeria.

I also was contacted from this number about a craigslist item. says he's in Canada and wants to buy item through paypal..very insistent

This guy is a Craigslist scammer. He tried to scam me but it was blatantly obvious right away so I told him never to contact me again.
