PS on the above (Jeep dealer).
Jeep dealer called us back and had called Chrysler Financial, who
said yes indeed all is in order, and that whoever called had no business doing so, and we should not take any more calls from them, but refer them to a name and number Jeep dealer gave me.
Again, it sounds like an inside scammer.

The call is from the collection division of Chrysler. You don't have to own a Chrysler to get this call, only have to have purchased a vehicle from a certified Chrysler dealership. Could have been a used vehicle of any year, make, or model. Neverless, they can be real pests!

This number is on my work phone call log but they never leave a message. I called the number back and a recording says to dial 800 727-8259 which is Chrysler Financial.
Annoyed call recipient 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Calls my new work phone every day asking for Jennifer. Not my name. And my number is not yet publicly listed on the company website, so I think this call might be made for a person who had this number previously. When I start to tell the caller not to call anymore, they hang up.
Chris 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Yep, This number is Christler Financial... don't know why they don't speak or leave a message...
jlo 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Missed call, never left a message. Caller id only showed the telephone number, no name.

Received a call today. They were asking for my husband. When I said he wasn't in, the lady stated maybe I could help and said they were trying to locate one of our neighbors, a Mr. "Name" who lived on Ocean Blvd. What? For one, we don't even live CLOSE to and Ocean Blvd. and secondly, we don't live close to the water (where most Ocean Blvd's I know of are located). I had no clue who this man was they were looking for and why they thought we were neighbors. It seems fishy (maybe phishing?) to me and I'm going to report it to Chrysler anyway. I know the callback number has a recording to call an 800 # that leads to Chrysler Financial but anyone could do that.

Pestering call for no reason. If this is Chrysler they should go bankrupt.
Scott 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
They have the wrong number, but continue to call me
913-851-6108 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Call my cell phone 4/5 times a day; I can't owe them money; I am only 13!
Elicia 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
This phone number kept calling my cell phone but never left a message. If it was regarding my chrysler account shouldn't they leave a message? I am mad about them harrassing me.
B 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Caller ID said Daimler Chrysler. Asked for me by name, said our lease payment overdue. Told her we turned that car over a month ago. She put me on hold, came back to ask WHERE? I said local Jeep dealer. She asked if I had their number! I said "Well, I'll look it up on the internet." hint hint, like she might try to look it up herself. I gave it to her. She said she would call them, and I should call too. I said we already did our job, it's your job to figure this out. She hung up on me.
We did call the dealer anyway. All was in perfect order. Person had no business calling me. PUNCHLINE is that the person never called the Jeep dealer.
I am convinced this is a scammer working within Chrysler. Or scammers who somehow know how to make Chrysler's name appear on the screen.
Nasty lazy sounding lady who called.

I received a missed call from this number, then called back. It's in Kansas...I got a recording that this number was an invalid and that I should call an 800 number....

It has been a week since I last updated this site. Well, hooray, the calls have stopped!!! The number to call is 1-800-700-0235 and explain the situation and ask them to remove your number from their dailer.
BKT 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
UPDATE: 2/22/09.
Received three calls today; missed first two. Answered third call and spoke with Mr. Garcia who stated he represented Chrysler Financial and was seeking a "Mr. Hall". I asked him what number he was calling; he confirmed the number for my wife's cell. I spoke slowly and calmly as I explained the situation of receiving numerous calls over the past several days for individuals who are not assigned or associated with the number. I told him (a) all these unsolicited calls were expending cellular minutes, (b) we have no dealings with Chrysler Financial, and (c) these calls needed to stop. He said my wife's number was on a dialer and would take 24-hours to update. After reconfirming the number, he stated he would flagged the number and have it removed from their list. I could hear noises in the background which sounded like an office setting. I asked for his supervisor and a number that I could call back to confirm that this was indeed who he represented.
Before putting his supervisor on, he gave me 1-800-700-0235. His supervisor was a Ms. Madden and she reconfirmed the 1-800-700-0235 number. She also mentioned the use of a dialer. Again, I was told the updates to their dialer database would take 24-hours.
After hanging up, I called the number and got a Chrysler Financial recording asking for (1) primary telephone number, (2) SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, and (3) 10-digit account number. I had no intentions of providing any of those numbers. After pressing "0" several times, my call was switched to another recording that stated the offices were closed and requesting I call back Monday at 7AM Eastern time. I plan to! I will post another update in a few days.
If we continue to receive calls, my next step is to email members of both the U.S. House and Senate Finance Committees as well as my Congressional representatives to share this problem of a company representing or affiliated with the beleaguered auto industry not having their act together in yet another way!

Over the last several days, my wife's cell has been receiving several calls a day from 913-851-6108. I just looked up Chrysler Financial and call their number at 1-800-556-8172 and spoke to a customer service rep. She appeared to not know what was going on and transferred me to another number. It was for an office that was closed and open normal business hours Mondays thru Fridays.
I suggest anyone reading this message flood Chrysler Financial with calls to the point that they do something about it.
Isaac 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
They call 5 times a day and there is just a dead line. I know its Chrysler Financial and I do have a loan through them, but its not in default at all. Why do they call 5 times a day? And why is there no one on the line when I pick up? Im going to report them to the FCC. This is ridiculous.
Susan N. 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
I have been receiving calls from this #....usually miss calls and if i pick up, nobody is at the other end....except one time when a lady said she is looking for certain person, i told her she dialed a wrong number and not to call me again....boi did she showed me attitude and hung up on me.....yet just this morning i received another call.....what is going on? what is there problem? don't they have a life?....freaking making me mad......
Kelly 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Got a call. No message was left. I called the number back and was told the number was "invalid" and was given another number to call. When I did I found out that the office isn't even open today...so why am I getting calls? It is Chrysler Financial.
D 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Chrysler Financial Debt Collection Agency. They have called my phone a few times. Finally they stopped after I reported them also.
B 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Called back this morning, announced themselves as Chrysler Financial, and asked if the car HAS been returned to the dealership. I said "the car has been returned to the dealership..." and was ready to give her the number to call that the local Jeep dealership gave me (see my entries above), but she sald all right thank you, and hung up.
I've heard scammers try to get you to say the word "yes" -- not sure of facts here but apparently they have it recorded that you said yes to whatever they then allege they asked.
So it is my contention that she was trying to get me to say yes and when I didn't she hung up. I could just be paranoid though.
Nonia 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
If you have an Iphone you should get black list that blocks any numbers you don't want to be calling you.
Tom 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
They call me 3 times a week and yes I do own a dodge but its been payed for. How do I get them 2 stop?
Matt 2011-06-06 21:06:59 Unknown
Chrysler Financial-
They use a remote dialer, so there is no guarantee there will be a person at the other end of the line.
Inside scammers are a very real possibility. If you get called and are suspicious, ask for the callers I'd name or number. If you do this at the beginning of the call it helps.
Hope this helps someone out!

I get calls from this number all the time. When I answer, its dead air!
