Been getting calls from another number that was given out from Brooks Fiber Communications.
Phone rings, when answered, there is just a beep and the call ends.There have been 55 calls from
316-201-6911 which we've checked out and says it is from Dise Infectious supposedly from Wichita, KS.  When their actual number was called, the office of Infectious Disease, they reported they did not have any such number.
Who is this Brooks Fiber Communications?  Every number that was on the internet for them has either been disconnected, no answer or busy.
HELP!!

Yeah, I just got a call from that number but missed it so I called it back. It was a recording saying I would get $50 in walmart gift cards if I stayed on the line and answered 3 questions. THEN it said I would have to pay the shipping and handling for the cards so I hung up. Sounds like a scam (saying they will give you $50 if you pay them $2.)

ALSO, I am a Tmobile customer...with a Chicago area code..

Got the same call last night, completely in spanish and a recording... Thought it might be one of those scams that you call back and they charge you $20 + dollars a minute, I have altell - New Mexico # which is on the do not call list?!?!

I'm an AT&T customer.  I tried to call the number from work and I couldn't access the 913 area code.  Does anyone know what city the call is coming from?

I answered and it said something about $1000 dollars and that i got picked because of the last four numbers of my phone number. And to press 1 to get more info, but i hung at that point.  I have ATT cell phone.

I think we all need to call our cell providers and complain...  Are cell numbers considered "listed" numbers or "unlisted" numbers?  How did this company get our cell numbers?

Just got a call @ 6:11pm Central Time on Oct 1, it had a lot of static and was in spanish. Sprint PCS

got one call at noon today on my sprint phone and one call at 6:30 this evening on my at&t work phone.  didn't pick up either, no voicemail left.

I just got one too (8:07pm-CT).  All in Spanish, didn't understand a word - talks to fast.  Yelled "ENGLISH PLEASE" and they hung up right towards the end.  I'm a US Cellular customer.

Just received one on my personal AT&T at 8:41 CDT, then one on the Sprint work phone at 8:44 CDT.  Did not pick up either, and there were no messages left. Interesting that both of my numbers were dialed so close together.

This # was on my cell phone as a missed call on Wednesday, 10/1/08.  I did not attempt to call back.

just got a call from them tonight at 8:29P. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. called back and it sounds like a BIG SCAM

This LANDLINE phone number belongs to BROOKS FIBER COMMUNICATIONS - KANSAS in KANSASCITY/BELTON, KS area.

913-982-3950 called my private cell phone, Oct 1st at 6:43pm. - I did not answer the call. Not real happy  - this # is private and only for family and friends. How are these losers getting cell #'s ?!
