I recived a call from this # 914-220-5127 at 08:51pm Sunday 10/26/2008 the caller was coming from a jail in westchester county, I hung up right away it's a scam.

its from the county jail its not a scam

thats from vahalla its not a scam my ex boyfriend is locked up there

That's not true I have a brother there and when he calls collect this is the number from inside the jail. Get your facts straight.

yea I got this call everyday, seems my phone company can not block numbers. is this illegal, can they find it

I just received the same number and I googled it. And this sight came up. I'm glad I didnt answer I just heard a message. Thank god for these sights. I was trying to call it back.

Received two calls within 5 minutes of each other at 9:32 pm on 9/13. Recording saying this call will be monitored and that I was receiving a collect call from and then it would cut off. The call never came through and I never accepted any charges.

I received a call too. I hung up both times. Con artists are annoying.

Received a call from this number (914-220-5127) at 4:15 pm on Saturday, May 3.  The caller id read "CIMA Telecom" and it was a recording, not a live voice, telling me that an inmate at the Westchester County jail was making a collect call and to hang on to accept it.  I immediately hung up.  Later that evening, I called my brother, who's with the NYPD, and he told me that this is a scam that uses your phone number to place calls to South America, Europe, etc. The connection is made when you hang on or accept the call.  So, if you get this type of call, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY!!!
