Go to the bank and tell them that the check is no good. You've been victimized. They will charge you for any amounts paid by this check. Fix it as soon as possible.

I got a check. And yeah, i was stocked to be a secret shopper until i just had a weird vibe in my sleep just telling me not to do it. Therefor I'm questioning myself on how it's bad. But yet i have no clue that it's bad. I think Okay everything going good so far, so imma give it a chance. But before i did, i did a little research on where this is coming from, who's email is this, who's phone number etc. and i kid you not. I only typed in his email and boom!! Scam, scam, scam! Same number 9142285165 and so i text him saying,( I'm playing stupid) hey this is a scam. And his reply was " it's not a scam i promise, just cash the check and let me know so we can move to the second assignment" his own words. But then i thought, "why does he want me to cash it so fast?" Like he didn't tell me anything he just said, hurry and go cash all of it. All $1,980.00 so then i knew it was scam. I don't know if he has My personal information. Besides my email and number. Someone help me. I then texted him again, Telling him the truth about the scam and ever since then he hasn't texted me back. i found a scammer from the start. I feel happy

This phone number is associated with a secret shopper scam. The scammer sends the target a letter and a check in the amount of $1,980.00 drawn off Carver Federal. Savings Bank. In order to participate the scammer directs the target to TEXT the 914-228-5165 phone number. It states the target will keep $200.00 as a salary, take out another $150.00 for the Western Union fee, then the rest is to be returned via Western Union. Associated email is jerrywall202@gmail.com.
