They said they received an error message that my computer was being hacked. I said " oh, let me give you my credit card number or better yet how would you like a green dot card!?" The man with an Indian accent wanted to assure me that it wasn't a scam and that they were my computer's service provider. He endured a lengthy series of sarcastic questions while staying calm and insisting he was here to help me. He wanted to walk me through how to verify my computer info. I told him I didn't feel like getting my computer, but I would write it down. He said his co. Name is Max PC and he didn't have access to the fed I'd #, but is employee # is CAKJ ( as in Jordan) K (as in Kabul) 1390. His name is Jordan and he was calling from OH. He was confused when I asked him what time it is there and it took him a little while to figure out the answer.  He gave me the helpline # and said I might have trouble getting through. He said he could call back in 10 minutes after I have gone through the series of steps I wrote down. I told him I might look into his company tomorrow.  He said it might be to late, the hackers might access my computer by then. I told him I could just throw it away then. He sounded discouraged. I'll have to come up with a fun story for the next call.

When they call...which is two or three times a day they know my name. I only say one word..."no" ..I say it very softly..they will say "sorry?"..."no" .. "excuse me"...."no"....they get tired of me only saying the word "no" and they hang up.

I answered and then there was a long pause. The Indian lady on the line said she was calling in regards of my computer. And then I hung up.

First let me say my number must be in the book of scammer phone numbers to call.  Received call from VB Viswajith 914-236-6653 several times a day for a week and a half with no message left.  Answered yesterday and the scam started with my name is so and so and I am calling from Windows micosoft and we have been receiving error messages from your computer which could cause your computer to have viruses and crash. He then said I need you to go to your computer and turn it on, at that point I stopped him and told him it is impossible for him to get that kind of information from my computer and that I was sure that Windows Microsoft did not call people as they do not have my phone number.  He then assured me again that he was from Windows and they were indeed receiving error messages from my computer.  I again told him it was impossible for him or windows to be receiving error messages from my computer that I was absolutely sure he was wrong he asked why I told him I did not have internet or a computer.  I told him this windows and computer call was all a scam. I told him to not call again and go bother someone else and hung up.  I lied about not having a computer or internet obviously.

over the last week or so when I get home from work I check caller id to see if anyone has called, and this number shows up each and everyday, caller id shows that they call on average 7 times thru out the day, was tired of seeing this number and them not leaving a message, So I had today off work and without fail they called at 9am, I answered the phone and they told me that they were calling because my computer was going to crash, I said, oh sorry your to late, I couldn't get onto my computer last night and it pissed me off so I smashed it with a hammer, the guys said are you serious? I said yes I am, it was probably going to crash because the police have been spying on me, trying to find out where I hid the body of my ex husband...the caller hung up. and I haven't recieved a call from them since. LOL

They called again.

That dips*** said the exact same thing and when I said HOW DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER, she hung up

These clowns keep calling and calling, once they called me four times a day!  Same lame pitch to help me solve a problem on my windows computer.  They have used multiple fake caller id numbers.

Haha, what a joke!!! After reading others' posts, knew it was a scam. Kept them on the line for fun until the woman just gave up and hung up on us.

A guy with a heavy accent said he was calling from the Windows Service Center and that my Windows license expires at 7 PM tonight. I acted stupid to get more info from him. He said you own a computer dont you? He did repeat the phone number and where he was calling from. I told him I knew this was a scam and hung up.

This number calls, but they never say anything.  If you dial it back immediately, you get a message that says this number is no longer in effect.  We pay our phone bill for our personal use, and we wish the government could stop these unwanted calls.

I got a phone call today from this phone number.  The guy with a very thick accent said he was from Windows Support and insisted my computer was about to crash.  I did not believe a word he said as I had a similar call just a week ago, when I was told Microsoft was calling as my computer had a major problem.  I do not think these companies need to be phoning people looking for business.  I hung up on both of these annoying calls.  I might be old, but I am not stupid.

Been tracking calls from this phone number they said they were calling about my windows computer.  When I wouldn't cooperate they threatened to hack my computer and was brazen enough to say the were hacking it while I was on the phone with them.  I laughed at him and said I know you are not hacking my computer.  A man with a heavy accent sounded like he was from india or similar country.  When I said I was having the FBI track the phone number and his location and the longer I kept him on the phone the more information we would get to have them arrested for fraud.  Needless to say I kept him on the phone until he realized I was serious. Clearly the guy got mad at me and said he would call back and hung up.  Can anyone guess if he really is going to call back or not? LOL ... LOL ...  DO NOT TALK TO THESE GUYS THEY WILL THREATEN TO HACK YOUR COMPUTER LIKE THE DID ME!  

they called last night about 5:15, identified himself as being from windows. said that they saw my computer usage was leaving my open to hackers and virus's, I said I did not call them and did not want their help and if I wanted protection I would call Microsoft, to which the heavily accented man started to argue with me telling me I could not call Microsoft, because I would nnot be able to get Microsofts phone no.  I told him not to argue with me and hung up on him. Keep getting call which has a New York Ph. # 914-236-6653 I refuse to answer this call as I did some research on the #. I live in western Canada, so it appears I have friends in New York State. Yeah right. With all the complaints against this #, why is nothing being done?

guy with Indian ( East-Indian) accent telling me my Windows OS has errors, wants to get into my computer, company Windows Service Centre 3rd call in the past 2 months. my phone number in British Columbia, Canada, is listed in a woman's name in a rural area, these people are obviously preying on easy older victims. I use Linux :-) told him I would trace the call . this is a long known scam, why don't they ( telco) shut him up ?

Have been getting calls from this number asking for someone who must have had my number previously. When I explain that the person they are looking for no longer has my number they just hang up.

This number called my elderly mother and because she had been having trouble playing Farmville, she thought they were calling to help her.  She allowed him to remote in to her laptop.  THANKFULLY she does not shop online or do any banking online but she did - at his suggestion - go and buy a prepaid credit card to pay him.  LUCKILY she told me about it and I told her not to pay them or answer the phone when they call and I will be going over there to clean out anything that he left behind. He told her that it would be $150 for 3 yrs of service of her computer.
These places p*ss me off when they prey on the elderly.

This Pakistani sounding guy called twice, no message first call. As soon as I heard the t**t say that my computer had a problem, I thought, aha! I kept him talking for 2-3 minutes, to waste his money, then hung up. The number, and date and time of call have already gone to the Canadian National Do Not Call List. Everyone should be on such a list in their country, unless you like junk calls. Then, when one of these CREEPS phones, take the time and send in a complaint.

If someone who has had their information stolen, or a virus installed, complains about the same number, ALL the complaints should be used as evidence against the perps. Maybe the government/police agencies responsible can drag the retards into court, for misuse of the service, and maybe fraud or stealing identities.

A 411 reverse lookup showed "Telengy landline from Ossining, NY". That sounds like a small place; anyone know any creepy types like that? Maybe the local police or phone company knows them. Surely the phone company can block that number if is being used illegally from India? If it's a legal number, who pays the bills? Come on Telcos!

They dont care what time they call you. I received a call at 11:30 pm I could not believe it. I never answered. I came on here and found out who they were. Thanks for that

I love these guys, not sure why they call or what kindof a moron would honestly believe them that my computer is sending them a message.  But common, lets all talk to them and make there life a bit more fun.
