My message said it's from National 1st CU.  And yes, it immediately asked for my 16-digit card. To begin with, I don't even have an account with that credit union. And...I'm actually not stupid enough to enter any acct #.

Recieved text from 914-255-0487 stating NATIONAL 1ST C.U. NOTICE: your card has been deactivated  please contact us at 408-625-7166. Obviously a scam

I received a text message from this number stating that my Tonawanda Credit Union card has been deactivated. Hmmm. (1) There is no 'Tonawanda Credit Union'. (2) The credit union to which I belong does not issue cards. Definitely some type of scam. I deleted the message and added the phone number to my Verizon 'Blocked Numbers' list.

Got a message from this number telling me my CU card been deactivated and to call 775-629-4058. This is an identity fraud scam.

A customer of mine received a text message from this number talking about our credit card at the credit union.  My credit union never sends text messages to any of our members so this is definitely fraud

Same about queenstown bank, I got really confused as I used to live in queenstown md fortunately I checked here first. Crazy people

I got this message today only it says "QUEENSTOWN ONLINE NOTICE: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at 410-286-1742.  The message came from 914-255-0487.

My research says its a mobile # so I texted back and told them, "GREAT!  It's maxed out anyway!"

I don't have an account with Queenstown, USAlliance, nor have I ordered any wine.

Just called US Alliance FCU ,in New York, and they are aware of the situation and taking steps to find out who did this.  It is a SCAM!!!  Do not call back

I just got the same message

Got the same text on my and my wife's cell phones this morning.

My wife and I got the message, along with my son who has his own account.  We never use the Credit Union card to order online, so it must be somewhere else they got people's cell #'s.

I received the same text message and I also placed an order with wine country gift baskets!!

I received this msg at 5:30 pm today too, it has to be a scam.

Just got the same text from a Rochester 585 - asked to call 914-255-0487; pinpointed the number to a street in Port Chester NY 10573 - Wesley Avenue -

Just got the same text from us alliance saying card deactivated. Text came from 229 251-4860, but said to call 914 255-0487. How can we stop it?

Text came from 585-705-8957.  Message was from USAlliance FCU Saying:  Your card 4408XX has  been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at 914-255-0487.  I actually called and the first thing they ask for is your card number.  Of course I did not key in.  Sure way they can get easy access to your account.  SCAMMERS.  I ordered online from two websites today: Wine Country Gift Baskets and Spice House.  both asked for cell numbers.  So, the hackers get in that way.

I decided to dial the 914-255-0487 number and the first thing it asks for is your number off your card. Of course, I did not do that since it would just give them the exact number they need to take whatever is in the account.  The only thing I can think of is that I made an online purchase with Wine Country Gift Baskets and Spice house today.  coincidently they both asked for my cell number and I supplied since these are deliveries and I wanted them to have my number just in case. So , that's how they (the hackers) probably got my number and then took it one step further.  People are getting real desperate so be careful.

I just received the very same message from US Alliance FCU about my 4408 card being deactivated. FRAUD no doubt. This is sick.
